Warzone Anti-Cheat

Hacking has been an extremely frustrating issue in Call of Duty: Warzone recently, but Raven Software is hoping its latest anti-cheat update that saw many accounts banned will help address this major problem in some capacity.

Players hacking has been one of the biggest issues that Call of Duty: Warzone has faced since it was released in 2020. With no formidable form of anti-cheat, the Call of Duty battle royale is often affected by many hackers.

Raven Software has banned many of these hackers over the course of the game’s life and recently provided the community with its latest Warzone anti-cheat update that saw a significant number of accounts that were cheating get banned.

The Warzone development studio took to its Twitter account on July 16, 2021, and posted the latest Warzone anti-cheat update that saw over 50,000 accounts get banned during two ban waves that happened this week.

Raven also commented that these two most recent ban waves targeted repeat offenders, which has been one of the biggest issues facing how Warzone anti-cheat has been implemented. The free-to-play nature of the game allows cheaters to create a new account for free and start hacking.

While ban waves in the past have helped the battle royale game feel free of cheaters for periods of time, the community does not believe this form of Warzone anti-cheat is the best course of action for the game’s overall health going forward and feel a stronger preventive style of action is needed in addition to banning after the fact.

One of the most recent hacks that caught the community’s attention was one where hackers could make players unwillingly become level 1,000 and have Dark Matter camo unlocked for all of their Cold War weapons, which occurred to popular content creator NICKMERCS.

It remains to be seen how effective this latest Warzone anti-cheat update will be, but the hacking problem is arguably the biggest obstacle the popular game currently faces.

Call of Duty: Warzone’s next major update will be Warzone Pacific Season 3 Reloaded, bringing a new SMG, a new Perk, major quality of life updates, and more. Here’s when you can expect Season 3 Reloaded and everything we know so far.

Before Warzone’s Season 4 update, which is set to bring major changes to Caldera, there’s plenty of content still to come. A new SMG, a new Perk, and more are set to arrive in the mid-Season update.

Here’s everything we know about Warzone Pacific Season 3 Reloaded, including the expected release date, new SMG, Serpentine Perk, and quality of life updates.

When is Warzone Pacific Season 3 Reloaded?

While neither Activision nor Raven Software have confirmed the release date, Warzone Season 3 Reloaded should arrive around Wednesday, May 25, as this is exactly halfway through the season.

Of course, this might not be the official date, but we would expect the Season 3 Reloaded update towards the end of May.

New SMG arrives in Warzone Season 3 Reloaded

There’s still one Season 3 weapon still to arrive, with the H4 Blixen SMG arriving in the Reloaded update.

The Nikita AVT Assault Rifle and M1916 arrived in the Battle Pass and the Sledgehammer is available through an in-game challenge and the Store, and that just leaves the H4 Blixen, a “blowback SMG” that “shares some design techniques with the Sten and PPSh-41.”

The devs are keeping the H4 Blixen under wraps until Season 3 Reloaded’s announcement, but players can get their hands on it “through an SMG-based challenge or via Store Bundle.”

Warzone Pacific Season 3 Reloaded brings Serpentine Perk

In an interview with us ahead of Warzone Season 3, Raven’s Ted Timmins confirmed that Season 3 Reloaded brings the Serpentine Perk from Vanguard.

Serpentine reduces damage taken while moving, and Timmins suggested it would be a direct counter to Sniper Rifles. “I think fundamentally it’s going to be really healthy to Warzone to allow players to have that all-important counterplay,” he explained.

You can either add Serpentine Perk to your custom loadouts or find it as ground loot in Perk Satchels following the Season 3 update.

Fast travel system coming to Warzone Season 3 Reloaded?

Raven are no strangers to shaking things up in each major update, but a fast travel system would certainly be a game-changer. Respected CoD leaker TheGhostOfHope claims that fast travel is coming in Season 3 Reloaded, but didn’t go into specifics about how it would function.

While the addition of Redeploy Ballons gave Operators the chance of a quick getaway, a fully-fledged travel system implies that squads could be able to teleport to any point on the map.

If this is to function as it does in other games, we’d expect fast travel to be available from certain markers across Caldera, allowing players to travel between them, possibly in exchange for cash.

We’ll have to wait and see if this leak comes true, but there’s no doubt it would drastically change the flow of matches, especially towards the end.

Footstep audio & slide fixes in Warzone Season 3

The Warzone Pacific Season 3 patch notes confirmed that Raven Software are bringing improvements to footstep audio and fixing the frustrating slide camera lock issue.

Warzone players have long complained about footstep audio and the devs revealed, “We are looking to bring in additional audio improvements to footsteps during the season as a priority.” Also, there’s a frustrating issue where if you slide on an elevated surface, your camera locks and you can’t look down, and they are “pleased to announce that this will be addressed soon.”

Although not confirmed for Season 3 Reloaded, we can expect to see these changes implemented at some point during the season.

Every leaked Warzone 2 POI: Classic MW2 maps Quarry, Highrise, Terminal, more

Industry insider Tom Henderson claims to have revealed all 18 of Warzone 2’s POIs, as well as the classic MW2 maps included.

Warzone 2 is on the way and while nothing official has been revealed, a ton of new information has come from leakers and insiders. Industry insider Tom Henderson claims to have leaked all 18 POIs we can expect in the new map, as well as the classic Modern Warfare 2 maps they’ll be built around.

Warzone’s sequel was confirmed to be in development alongside Modern Warfare 2 back in February 2022, but the developers haven’t said anything else since. Instead, leakers have been revealing new details about both Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2.

Soon after YouTuber NerosCinema dropped a ton of new leaks, insider Tom Henderson claimed we’ll see at least four classic Modern Warfare 2 maps in POIs around Warzone 2’s Blackout-like map. Another leaker, TheMW2Ghost, has also recreated what this map is set to look like.

While these are just leaks for now and nothing is confirmed, here’s every POI and classic MW2 map Tom Henderson claims will arrive in Warzone 2.

Classic Modern Warfare 2 maps leaked for Warzone 2

Highrise

Highrise was first revealed to return by YouTuber NerosCinema, whose source claims to have played Warzone 2. This leak was then corroborated in Tom Henderson’s eXputer report, where it’s “located at the top right of the map under the POI name ‘Modern City.'”

While Modern City isn’t the POI’s final name, Henderson said that Warzone 2’s map “contains a large city with a lot of skyscrapers and tall buildings.” TheGhostOfHope previously claimed that the map is inspired by Medellín, which is the second-largest city in Colombia.

Quarry

Quarry is set to be its own POI at the top left of the map according to Tom Henderson. Quarry is a classic Modern Warfare 2 map blending long sightlines for sniping with confined spaces for close-quarters combat.

As Quarry is only a medium-sized map, this should be one of the areas that have been “added and expanded upon.”

Terminal

Warzone players were desperate for the fan-favorite Terminal map to be added to Verdansk’s airport, and Henderson claims it’ll finally arrive with Warzone 2’s Airport POI.

He said that it’s “located at the bottom right of the map,” and will be “one of three locations on the map with a large stronghold.”

Afghan

Afghan, which features a crashed aircraft in the middle of a canyon in Afghanistan, is set be “towards the middle of the map, but slightly to the left” inside the ‘Caves’ POI.

Also, according to Henderson, there should also be even more classic Modern Warfare 2 maps arriving in Warzone 2, with Henderson theorizing that the ‘Mountain Town’ POI could feature Favela.

One day after the original report, Henderson claims to have revealed all 18 POIs we can expect to see on Warzone 2 and the DMZs map. He clarified that these POI names aren’t finalized but should give an indication of what can be found there.

Here’s every Warzone 2 POI leaked by Tom Henderson:

  • Oasis
  • Wartorn
  • Quarry (Quarry)
  • Oilfield
  • Modern City (Highrise)
  • Caves (Afghan)
  • Dam
  • Marshes
  • Harbor
  • Sira
  • Observatory
  • Mountain Town (assumed Favela)
  • Graveyard
  • Oldtown
  • Shipwreck
  • Fishtown
  • Fort
  • Airport (Terminal)

Tom Henderson expects there to be even more Modern Warfare 2 maps inside these POIs but couldn’t confirm the information.

It’s also been reported that this will be the same map as Modern Warfare 2’s upcoming Escape from Tarkov-inspired DMZ mode which will feature a marketplace with tradeable items.

CoD players delighted as classic Modern Warfare 2 maps leaked for Warzone 2

Warzone 2 will reportedly feature classic Modern Warfare 2 maps as POIs, and Call of Duty players are delighted with the news.

A ton of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 leaks have surfaced, with insider Tom Henderson claiming that at least four classic MW2 maps will make up the new map’s POIs. Of course, Call of Duty players can’t wait to play these classic maps again.

There have been rumors and leaks surrounding a sequel to Warzone for months, but aside from the devs confirming that it’s in development alongside Modern Warfare 2, we’ve heard very little. Instead, insiders have reportedly leaked a ton of details, saying it’ll be a brand-new game with no past integrations.

There have now been even more leaks claiming Warzone 2 will bring a firing range, feature Strongholds where players need to complete objectives to get their loadout, and will share a massive new map with the Escape from Tarkov-inspired DMZ mode.

This new map will reportedly feature classic Modern Warfare 2 maps such as High Rise and Terminal, and the CoD community are delighted with the news.

After Tom Henderson claimed that Warzone 2 would bring classic MW2 maps such as High Rise, Quarry, Terminal, and Afghan, the CoD community was buzzing with excitement. Players have been asking for more fan-favorite maps to be added to Warzone since Verdansk, so this comes as welcome news.

Warzone pro and streamer Aydan ‘Aydan’ Conrad was particularly excited, saying “OMG THIS IS WHAT I WANTED!”

After CharlieIntel tweeted the news it was clear the leak was welcome, with players replying with gifs, memes, and what they want to see from the new map.

Twitter user ‘JHensley55’ said: “One of the best things about Blackout was the POIs had call backs to COD from the past.” They explained that “They were fun to fight around and I loved how they were added and rotated to keep the map fresh.”

Before leaking all of these POIs, Henderson tweeted that Warzone 2’s map “looks more like Blackout” than it does Warzone, so players who loved Blackout and all of its classic maps should be in for a good time.

“COD has a rich archive of popular MP Maps that are NOT being effectively utilised as POI’s in Battle Royale,” tweeted Brodie Cromar. “The content exists. The implementation does not.”

Players also started imagining the scenarios that can play out around these classic maps. “Imagine parachuting off of Highrise during a fight to continue it in Favela,” said pade.

Henderson also said he expects plenty more Modern Warfare 2 maps to feature as POIs, and William Taylor Payne showed off Rundown and said “I need it!” Rundown, which is set in Brazil, would make sense as the Warzone 2 map will reportedly take place in Central America.

However, some players were less enthusiastic about the news, saying they would rather have new areas instead of ones that they have played before. “Why make a new game if you’re just gonna keep rehashing old content?” asked KingCashLXXV.

While it’s tough not to get caught up in the excitement, bear in mind that these are just leaks for now and nothing has been confirmed by Activision or Infinity Ward, so it’s worth tempering your expectations.
