Raven Software has released a new hot fix for Call of Duty: Warzone on April 6 on all platforms.
The studio has released patch notes for this update which includes weapon updates and bug fixes.
The patch notes mention fixes for the R1 Shadowhunter, changes to Cold TR Charlie, and FFAR 1. There’s also changes to attachments and more for Warzone.
These changes follow the feedback from the March 30 Warzone Season 2 Reloaded update, which didn’t have many weapon changes.
- The Camo Challenges for the “R1 Shadowhunter” now appear correctly for the Geometric, Flora, and Science Camo Categories.
- Cold War Tactical Rifle Charlie
- Recoil strength has been increased.
- Burst weapons ride a fine line between inefficient and oppressive. The intent of this change is to maintain the weapon’s identity of being a powerhouse while making it a bit more difficult to wield. Right now we feel it is too easy to stay on target given how lethal it is. We will continue to monitor the performance of the Tactical Rifle Charlie and make additional changes if necessary.
- FFAR 1
- ADS speed has been decreased.
- The FFAR is a jack of all trades. It has the damage profile and range of an AR as well as the fire rate of an SMG. The FFAR’s wholesale efficacy has it edging out SMGs at ranges we’re not satisfied with. Ideally, the FFAR fulfills the role of a mid-range dominator while falling prey to weapons that excel in short-range engagements. We are bringing the FFAR a bit more in line with what you might expect from an AR—damage and range at the cost of handling.
- Rear Grip attachments that showed ADS speed pros should now properly increase ADS speed.
- Fixed a bug with the Groza where the 16.5” CMV Mil-Spec barrel would bypass damage falloff.
- Fixed a bug with the Ember Sighting Point where the XM4 and AK-47 had their ADS speed increased rather than decreased.
- Fixed a bug with the Salvo Fast Mag where the FFAR 1 and M16 were not having their ADS speed decreased.
- The Pelington 703 Wrapped Suppressor effects should now be properly represented in the stat bar.

TimTheTatMan shows off no recoil Warzone Krig 6 loadout
This TimTheTatMan Warzone Krig 6 loadout that the Twitch streamer recently showed off has no issues when it comes to recoil.
The Krig 6 Assault Rifle has emerged as a powerful weapon in Warzone Season 3, and TimTheTatMan recently showed off a no recoil Warzone Krig 6 loadout that will likely help any player find success.
Season 3 of Call of Duty: Warzone brought various weapon buffs and nerfs that opened up the meta to be dominated by weapons that a great deal of the community had not previously used. One of these weapons is the Krig 6 Assault rifle from Black Ops Cold War.
This particular weapon has now become the go-to weapon for many players on Verdansk ’84, and popular Twitch streamer TimTheTatMan recently showed off a Warzone Krig 6 loadout that has no problem when it comes to recoil control.
TimTheTatMan Warzone Krig 6 loadout
- Muzzle: Agency Suppressor
- Barrel: 19.7″ Ranger
- Laser: None
- Optic: SUSAT Multizoom
- Stock: None
- Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip
- Ammunition: 45 Rnd
- Rear Grip: None
There is no doubt that players who use this TimThetTatMan Warzone Krig 6 loadout will see that it does provide an incredibly noticeable difference when it comes to recoil compared to other weapons in the Call of Duty battle royale.
Call of Duty: Warzone Season 3 has seen the SUSAT Multizoom emerge as one of the most preferred optics players to use on Black Ops Cold War Assault Rifles.
It provides a very clear line of vision with less recoil being noticeable than using iron sights or other optics that are available for Black Ops Cold War weapons.
TimTheTatMan was able to put together some impressive showings with this no recoil build for the Krig 6 and certainly showed why it is a solid pick for players if they are looking to try out something different in their loadouts and have the Krig 6 max level.
Players looking for a new setup for this Black Ops Cold War Assault Rifle or a new weapon altogether for a loadout should definitely give this one a try and see how it fares for them the next time they are trying to achieve victory on Verdansk ’84 or Rebirth Island.

NICKMERCS reveals his powerful “no recoil” Warzone Season 3 Grau
Top Warzone streamer NICKMERCS has revealed his “no recoil” Grau 5.56 loadout, which he says is a great choice in Season 3.
The Grau 5.56 dominated Warzone’s meta in the early months of the game, and following significant nerfs to Cold War’s weapons in Season 3, top streamer Nick “NICKMERCS” Kolcheff believes it’s back.
Warzone has gone through several weapon metas, but many players consider the Grau 5.56 to be the best and most balanced. A nerf to the Grau all the way back in July 2020, buffs to other weapons, and the integration of Cold War’s guns made the Grau somewhat lackluster.
However, following nerfs made in Warzone’s Season 3 update, streamer NICKMERCS believes that the Grau has climbed back to the top of the pack. After members of Nick’s community said he should try the Grau, citing popular YouTuber JGOD, he tried it out again with great success.
Using the Grau, NICKMERCS was on pace for a 40 kill game and said it’s likely that it’ll be one of the best gameplays he’ll upload for a while. Even though he didn’t hit the 40, he still put up a more than respectable 30 kill game.
Nick built his Grau 5.56 out for range, using the previous meta attachments for the weapon. As stated in the title of the video, his Grau is built to have “no recoil,” capable of lasering enemies at medium and long-range with pinpoint accuracy.
NICKMERCS’ Grau 5.56 loadout for Season 3
- Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
- Barrel: Tempus 26.2″ Archangel
- Optic: VLK 3.0x Optic
- Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip
- Ammunition: 60 Round Mags
Nick’s Grau 5.56 is designed to beam enemies at medium-long range with no recoil. For extra range, he added the Monolithic Suppressor and Tempus 26.2″ Archangel barrel. These attachments vastly improve the weapon’s bullet velocity and damage over distance.
To make sure he accurately hits these long-range shots, NICKMERCS used the VLK 3.0x Optic because it provides an unobtrusive picture of targets, and the Commando Foregrip almost completely removes the recoil. And finally, Nick used the 60 Round Mags to take out multiple targets without having to reload.

CoD: Warzone Season 3 hit by secret Cold War Sniper Rifle changes
TrueGameData has discovered that several of Black Ops Cold War’s Sniper Rifles have been hit with secret nerfs in Warzone Season 3.
After testing out some of CoD: Cold War’s Sniper Rifles in Warzone Season 3, TrueGameData has discovered the startling revelation that they have been secretly nerfed.
The battle royale is still completely integrated with Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and weapons such as the LW3 and ZRG 20mm have been popular choices for many players. However, this may not be the case as the discovery of secret nerfs may negatively impact their usability.
Investigative YouTuber Anthony Zachman, known for TrueGameData, excels at making deep videos discussing the analytical aspects of Call of Duty’s guns.
He tests them out and compares the data to other weapons and against previous states of the gun.
Cold War Pelington 703 nerfed in Warzone Season 3
The first weapon to be looked at was the Pelington 703, with the bullet velocity of the Sniper Rifle down to 967 from the 1050 region.
It appears as if the 27.2″ Combat Recon barrel has been nerfed with Anthony saying, “The Pelington was in a good spot before, but now it’s kinda pointless, like there’s no reason to use the Pelington over the [Kar98k].”
Cold War LW3 Tundra nerfed in Warzone Season 3
At one point the LW3 Tundra was an extremely popular choice for Sniper Rifle enthusiasts thanks to its incredible bullet velocity. Anthony says it was around 1250 and was “the fastest in the game with the Combat Recon [barrel]”
But upon closer inspection, using the Wrapped Suppressor and the 29.1″ Combat Recon drops the bullet velocity to a shocking 1130. According to Anthony the LW3 is now “slower than the HDR and the ZRG.”
“I don’t know why they did this, I don’t know if it was on purpose or not, but there’s literally no reason to use the LW3 now.”
Cold War ZRG 20mm unchanged in Warzone Season 3
Interestingly, despite the same barrel now affecting the LW3, Pelington, and even the M82, Raven Software appears to have left the ZRG alone.
“The ZRG somehow dodged that nerf so with the Combat Recon barrel, even though this is a Cold War gun, you still get the same bullet velocity as before – so it’s the fastest still”, Anthony explained.
At 1230, the ZRG still retains the fastest bullet velocity, making it one of the best weapons to use in Warzone Season 3.
We don’t know why these changes have happened or why they haven’t been properly documented. It’s either a mistake with the barrel and the guns, or Raven wanted to keep it a secret. Either way, the HDR, Kar98k, and ZRG 20mm are now your best bets for success in Warzone Season 3.
If anything changes on the situation or there are any official updates then we’ll be the first to let you know at Charlie INTEL.
