Infinity Ward announced on Tuesday, May 12 that all, new PC players that want to play Call of Duty: Warzone will have to verify their accounts via two-factor authentication.
This reduces the amount of new accounts that can be made be cheaters once their account is banned for cheating because they need a new phone number in order to get back onto Warzone.
Now, in a post image shared on Reddit, hackers on a forum are upset that Infinity Ward added this feature in, saying they cannot play anymore because their first account was banned with a phone attached. They are not able to use the same number again.
The post, which is absolutely hilarious in how ridiculous the person sounds, can be read here:
Infinity Ward continues to take steps to address the cheating and hacking issues in Modern Warfare and Warzone, with latest updates giving players notifications for when a player they report is banned and adding report functions to kill cams.
How to use Black Ops Cold War & Warzone’s new ‘Quick Equip’ system
The new ‘Quick Equip’ system in Black Ops Cold War x Warzone Season 2 will make finding your purchased cosmetics much easier.
Equipping your purchased cosmetics in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone has just gotten easier in Season 2, so here’s how to use the new ‘Quick Equip’ system.
Call of Duty: Warzone now has a plethora of cosmetic items to equip. New bundles have been steadily added to the Modern Warfare store weekly for over a year, and Black Ops Cold War is following in its footsteps.
From playing both games and unlocking cosmetics through challenges, Battle Passes, free bundles, and purchased bundles, it’s likely you have a lot of stuff in your inventory. Locating items from a specific bundle can be like looking for a needle in a haystack, but a handy new system in Warzone and Cold War will make this much easier.
Cold War and Warzone’s ‘Quick Equip’ System
With Black Ops Cold War x Warzone Season 2, Activision are including a new ‘Quick Equip’ feature that will allow you to easily access all bundles gained through the store or Battle Pass.
Here’s how to use the new Quick Equip feature:
- Launch Black Ops Cold War or Warzone
- Navigate to the Weapons tab
- Select ‘Bundle Locker’
- Equip cosmetics from any of your purchased bundles
Whether you’re looking for a specific item or would like to mix and match bundles, you can now find exactly what you’re looking for at the press of a button.
With Black Ops Cold War x Warzone Season 2, many new skins, calling cards, and more will be coming to the game. New weapons such as the FARA 83 Assault Rifle and LC10 SMG will be in Season 2’s Battle Pass, and new Operators like Zombies’ Samantha Maxis and perhaps the leaked Soap bundle will be coming to the store.
These new items will quickly pile up, so this major quality of life improvement will make inventory management and sorting through your purchased items much easier.

New Black Ops Cold War challenges confirm Zombies coming in Warzone Season 2
New challenges added to Black Ops Cold War ask players to eliminate Zombies in Warzone, confirming their arrival in Season 2.
Following Black Ops Cold War’s pre-Season 2 update, Zombies challenges for Call of Duty: Warzone have been added, confirming the undead will come to Verdansk in Season 2.
Since the strange Zombie machines arrived in Verdansk, Warzone players have been anticipating the undead’s arrival in Verdansk for Season 2. For Halloween, we got to play the ‘Zombie Royale’ mode, although this was a spin-off disconnected from the main plot.
However, new information revealed ahead of Season 2 confirms that Zombies will be coming to Warzone next season, and will likely leave a lasting impact.
Black Ops Cold War received an update ahead of Season 2 which added content ready to be unlocked when the new season goes live on February 25. In this update came new challenges asking players to eliminate Zombies in Warzone.
In Season 2, these are challenges that players can expect:
- In Warzone, eliminate 8 Zombies before the first circle closes.
- In Warzone, rapidly kill 2 or more Zombies 2 times.
- In Warzone, use Shotguns to eliminate 8 Zombies.
With a cargo ship shrouded in storm nearing the shore, many believe the undead will be onboard, waiting to overrun Verdansk.
We don’t yet know how Zombies will be implemented into Warzone. In Black Ops 4’s Blackout battle royale, Zombies spawned in fixed locations on the map. If you were brave enough, you could hunt down these hordes of the undead to find high-tier loot. Fortnite also added zombies to regular battle royale, where they covered the entire map.
This coincides with Warzone streamer NICKMERCS’ theory that zombies will overrun Verdansk, and the area will be nuked to prevent the infection from spreading. After the area is nuked, players will travel to the Ural Mountains for safety, thus giving us a new Warzone map.
Warzone can be scary enough at times with Roze skins hiding in dark corners waiting to pounce on unwitting victims, but with Zombies roaming the map too, you should stay on your guard.

NICKMERCS shows off his M16 Warzone loadout
Streamer NICKMERCS has revealed his new overpowered M16 loadout for use in Call of Duty: Warzone, ahead of Season 2.
Popular streamer and content creator NICKMERCS has revealed his choice M16 loadout for Call of Duty: Warzone, ahead of the release of Season 2.
With the rise of Black Ops Cold War weapons into the meta of Call of Duty: Warzone, it’s no surprise that top players are levitating towards different weapons as the weeks pass and new metas are discovered. Come to the tail end of Season 1 of Black Ops Cold War and Warzone, the Tactical Rifle meta looks like a reality for the future of Warzone.
The M16 is a fierce and powerful burst rifle, capable of 2 bursting enemies at medium ranges. As long as you aim high and hit a headshot, you’ll do immense damage to any foe in your way.
The M16 also sports great mobility and accuracy, with a short delay between bursts. If you’re an accurate player, you’ll quickly find yourself wiping out enemies before they can possibly react to your presence.
NICKMERCS M16 Warzone Loadout
- Muzzle: Agency Silencer
- Barrel: 15.9” Strike Team
- Optic: Axial Arms 3x
- Underbarrel: Field Agent Foregrip
- Ammunition: STANAG 60 Round
For the most part, this loadout is the most optimal one to run. If you’d like, you can always swap out the Axial Arms 3x with a 2x sight for better visibility at medium range, if that’s your thing.
Ultimately, the center of this loadout is control and discipline, so be sure to remain in the fight and keep each burst on target in between resets. Pair your M16 up with an FFAR like NICKMERCS, or perhaps you’re a fan of the killer MAC-10, which is also a great sidearm for this weapon.
Regardless of whichever you choose, you’ll dominate any enemy that comes in your way.
