Warzone and Black Ops Cold War Season 6 is finally here, bringing new weapons for players to get their hands on. One of the new weapons is the Battle Axe, which some players aren’t happy about due to its unlock challenge.

Warzone and Black Ops Cold War Season 6 is finally here, and players have been getting to grips with the new weapons, Multiplayer maps, and destruction of Verdansk.

With that being said, one of the new melee weapons up for grabs is the Battle Axe, but some players are not too impressed with its unlock challenge.

Reddit user MurderGiraffe19 posted their opinion about the Battle Axe unlock challenge, stating, “I don’t want the battle axe that much.”

The unlock challenge for the Battle Axe is “get a kill with a gun, melee weapon, and piece of lethal equipment in 15 different matches.”

This is no doubt a pretty hard unlock challenge, and it seems others in the community are thinking the same, as one comment reads: “They might as well have added “BUY OUR BUNDLE PLZ!” at the end.”

Of course, you can buy “The Berserker” bundle in the store to unlock a Legendary Blueprint for the Axe and bypass the unlock challenge altogether. However, for those looking to get it legit, it’s going to take you some time.

Perhaps the developers will reassess the challenge if the uproar continues, as the post currently has around 500 upvotes at the time of writing this article.

Other newly added weapons for Warzone and Black Ops Cold War have had similar requirements for their unlock challenges, so it is not too surprising to see that the Battle Axe Melee weapon has this style of unlock challenge, which was also the source of frustration for players in past seasons.

We’ll have to see what happens with this challenge in the future. For now, check out our article on locked Vanguard weapons appearing in Warzone Season 6.
