Call of Duty: Warzone and Cold War’s Season 5 Operator and theme have been officially revealed in artwork for the new season.

Warzone and Cold War Season 4 brought a ton of new content to both games, but we’re fast approaching Season 5. There are no official details on what the new season will entail, but one of the biggest expectations is that WW2 Vanguard will be revealed inside Warzone.

However, the Season 5 artwork was reportedly leaked, giving us a look at the brand-new Operator and weapon coming with this new Season before the artwork was officially confirmed by the Call of Duty franchise.

Call of Duty leaker and data miner Nanikos posted a ton of information about Warzone and Cold War Season 5 to the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit. Here, they shared an Imgur link to the leaked Season 5 artwork.

In this image, we can see the supposed Season 5 Operator ‘Kitsune’ wielding what appears to be akimbo TEC-9 Pistols. She’s also surrounded by the numbers associated with Black Ops and Warzone’s Red Doors, so the season will likely continue this ongoing story.

This leak was then officially confirmed on August 3, 2021, when the official Call of Duty Twitter account posted the previously leaked artwork while confirming that Season 5 for Black Ops Cold War and Warzone will start on August 12.

Providing more information, Nanikos said that the season is “Japanese themed” and will feature the TEC-9 Pistol that can be spotted in the artwork.

Nanikos also said that we’ll “probably see” the classic Summit map in a new Outbreak region as well as a standalone Summit for 6v6 multiplayer. While there’s no confirmation that they will come in Season 5, the leaker said they “know they’re coming” and will be in Season 6 if not. This follows the recent leak that Cold War will receive 12 more maps.

Nanikos continued that “there is also still PHD and Double Tap for zombies and the lightning links field upgrade” still to come.

Besides the Season 5 artwork that has been officially revealed, all of the other leaks should be taken with the standard pinch of salt. Season 5 is set to launch on August 12, and we’ll know the concrete details when Treyarch and Raven Software releases the official roadmap ahead of this date.
