The Call of Duty Instagram account has revealed the Warzone and Black Ops Cold War Season 6 intro cinematic, and it teases some significant changes for both games, including map changes for Verdansk.

There is plenty of excitement in the Call of Duty community right now, with the upcoming release of Call of Duty: Vanguard taking place on November 5 and the launch of Warzone Season 6 and Black Ops Cold War Season 6 on October 7.

With this season being the last for the Black Ops Cold War cycle, the community has been curious about how the story playing out over the past five seasons with Stick and Adler will conclude and lead into Vanguard.

Players were given their first look at what they can expect from the Season 6 story in the official intro cinematic posted to the Call of Duty Instagram account. It teased some significant changes, with the highlight being what looked to be changes to the Warzone map of Verdansk.

The outro cinematic for Season 5 showed Frank Woods and Hudson discussing how Adler has gone rogue in Verdansk due to The Numbers Broadcast, and they need someone with experience to help them snap Adler out of it.

This person is none other than Alex Mason, who was under the spell of The Numbers Broadcast in Call of Duty: Black Ops.

Mason’s involvement in the Warzone and Black Ops Cold War Season 6 story was previously leaked in a piece of key art that showed Alex Mason and pointed towards him being a playable Operator that will be added to both Call of Duty games.

The Season 6 cinematic shows Mason helping to snap Adler out of his trance, but it seems it may be too late, as Stich has started his plan that sees portions of Verdansk begin to explode, which could be teasing significant map changes to Warzone with the likes of Stadium being destroyed in the cinematic.

There is no doubt that many players will be excited to see what changes will be coming to both games when Call of Duty: Warzone and Black Ops Cold War Season 6 launch.
