Warzone data reveals fastest-killing SMG and it’s not the Owen Gun
The Owen Gun continues to dominate Call of Duty: Warzone in Season 3, but stats from Anthony ‘TrueGameData’ Zachman proves that it’s not actually the fastest-killing SMG in the game.
While a weapon’s recoil control, reload time, and mobility are all important stats to consider in Warzone, time-to-kill is usually king. No matter how accurate the weapon is, if it can’t kill an enemy fast enough, then it simply isn’t worth using.
TTK usually dictates the meta weapons, and the Type 100 has majorly benefitted from the May 4 update. With more damage and a faster bullet velocity, this underrated Vanguard weapon has become the fastest-killing SMG in Warzone Season 3.
The Owen Gun has long been considered the meta SMG, boasting an impressive TTK of just under 600ms, but TrueGameData’s Type 100 loadout kills in under 500ms.
Iron Trials is where fast-killing weapons truly shine thanks to players having a whopping 400 HP, and using this Type 100, TrueGameData said that “it felt like I was playing regular BR, the TTK at 400 health felt like the TTK at 300 health, that’s how fast it was killing people.”
He explained that thanks to this incredibly low time-to-kill and the Gung-Ho Perk completely eliminating the sprint-to-fire time, “in any situation the Type 100 is going to win, pretty much, against everything else.”
However, just because a gun is the fastest-killing doesn’t mean it’s the best for every mode. TrueGameData explained that while the .30 Russian Short 36 Round Mags give it this incredible TTK, 36 bullets run out quick when fighting multiple players. For that reason, the Owen Gun might suit the majority of players better.
However, similar to the pre-nerf AS VAL, it’s a risk/reward scenario where as long as you can land your shots, there are very few weapons that’ll be able to outgun the Type 100.
TrueGameData low TTK Type 100 loadout
- Muzzle: Recoil Booster
- Barrel: Warubachi 134mm Rapid
- Optic: Slate Reflector
- Stock: Warubachi Skeletal
- Underbarrel: m1941 Hand Stop
- Magazine: .30 Russian Short 36 Round Mags
- Ammo Type: Hollow Point
- Rear Grip: Rubber Grip
- Perk 1: Gung-Ho
- Perk 2: Quick
TrueGameData built this Type 100 to maximize its time-to-kill and mobility, increasing its fire rate with the Recoil Booster and Warubachi 134mm Rapid and dealing extra damage to the arms and legs thanks to the Hollow Point ammo type.
This Type 100 loadout will perfectly suit aggressive players thanks to its non-existent sprint-to-fire time, with the Gung-Ho Perk allowing you to charge in headfirst and still land the first shots.
