Warzone MG 82 nerf has officially arrived
Season 4 brought the MG 82 LMG to Call of Duty: Warzone, and it has proven to be a dominating force which has prompted Raven Software to apply a nerf to the LMG after community requests.
Each new season of Warzone has brought new weapons for players to use in their battles, and Season 4 was no different with the addition of the MG 82 LMG, C58 Assault Rifle, and Nail Gun.
However, the MG 82 LMG quickly proved that it is taking over the meta, as the fast-firing and hard-hitting machine gun showed itself as easily one of the best guns that have ever been in the Call of Duty battle royale, with players having already called for it be nerfed.
After one whole day of this new LMG destroying players on Verdansk ’84 and Rebirth Island, Raven Software answered these calls. It announced that a Warzone MG 82 nerf was coming in the future, and the studio officially delivered on this promise on June 22.
Warzone MG 82 nerf
The promised Warzone MG 82 nerf arrived in the June 22 update for the Call of Duty battle royale and was met with excitement from plenty of players who felt the weapon had been too strong.
The development studio took to its official Twitter account on June 18 to reveal to the community that the new Season 4 LMG was a tad too powerful and that they would be taking a look and making adjustments to it. You can find Raven’s official announcement below:
“The MG 82 (BOCW) made one too many trips to the Pack-a-Punch machine before deploying to Verdansk. Element 115 is off limits in #Warzone, so we will be making an adjustment to this Weapon soon.”
Some players were sad to see the weapon already have a nerf planned for it after only one full day of it being in the game.
Others were happy to see that Raven Software was already working on a Warzone MG 82 nerf to make the LMG fairer than what it currently is in the first-person shooter.

The developer did not give an exact date for when players can expect to see the Warzone MG 82 nerf occur, so it remains to be seen how long the community will have to experience the new LMG in its current form.
