Warzone devs issue fix for Nvidia DLSS breaking players’ aim

Warzone’s Nvidia DLSS settings have had an unfortunate effect on players aim, but devs Raven Software have confirmed the issue has been fixed.

Call of Duty: Warzone developers Raven Software have confirmed they have deployed a fix for an issue with Nvidia’s DLSS settings that was making players’ aim inaccurate.

Warzone on PC is a dream for those who want complete control over how their game looks. While consoles like the PS5 and Xbox Series X look beautiful, playing on PC gives you the chance to fine tune the game so you can get the most out of your hardware.

One of the things that helps PC players make sure Warzone looks and feels good is the Nvidia DLSS graphics settings, and while it does improve performance significantly, it had a detrimental effect on players’ aim.

As first discovered by YouTuber JGOD, using the ‘balanced’ and ‘quality’ filters included as part of the DLSS settings was actually messing with players’ aim, making their shots inaccurate.

For some strange reason, the weapons’ crosshair wasn’t lining up directly with the middle of players’ screens, meaning your shots would skew right even if the center of your screen lined up perfectly with an opponent.

Thankfully, Raven Software was aware of the issue and gave a much-welcome update to the problem, tweeting on June 7: “A fix was released for DLSS and it should now be working as intended.”

A user asked Raven to clarify if the problem they fixed was “reticles being inaccurate with DLSS on,” and the developers confirmed it was.

Previously, you could only use the ‘Ultra Performance’ and ‘Performance’ settings without messing up your aim, but now you should be free to use any DLSS setting you fancy.

Raven also confirmed that Regiment invites not working would be fixed in the next major update but with Warzone Season 4 not too far away and its official reveal on June 10, the issue will likely be sorted at the start of the next season.

ZLaner reveals the one thing Infinity Ward need to remove from Warzone 2

CoD pro ZLaner has explained which Perk he hopes doesn’t come back in Warzone 2 when it releases later in 2022.

ZLaner talking into microphone

Fans will be hoping that Warzone 2 blows them away with brand-new gameplay features, but CoD pro Zack ‘ZLaner’ Lane has revealed the one Perk he hopes gets scrapped in the sequel.

Warzone 2 is expected to release later this year, and players can’t wait to see what Infinity Ward has up their sleeves for the battle royale’s follow-up and how they build on the success of the original.

We already know that Warzone 2 is set to bring in a completely new map, as well as new swimming mechanics and a firing range to test weapons.

But for all of the new features coming in Warzone 2, there are certain aspects of the first game that many don’t want to see again. CoD esports pro ZLaner has explained which of Warzone’s Perks should be left behind when the new game releases.

Speaking during a match with Dr Disrespect, ZLaner urged the developers not to add the Combat Scout Perk to Warzone 2.

“Hopefully they take this s**t out of the game, do not add that back for Warzone 2, oh my god,” ZLaner ranted after eliminating an enemy using the Perk. “This f*****g Perk is so broken.”

Doc then asked him which Perk he was talking about, to which he said that even though Combat Scout is helpful to have equipped, it caters to less-skilled players.

“Obviously it’s really good for me to use because I can just f*****g see where they’re going, but I think it just helps Jimmys and Timmys even more,” ZLaner continued. “I think it helps casual players even more.”

Combat Scout is a popular Perk in Warzone, as it temporarily highlights an enemy for the entire squad after they are damaged. This means players can keep track of wounded enemies after they run away, even if they are behind cover or on the other side of a wall.

With such a useful effect, it’s no surprise that it is currently the most popular choice in the Perk 3 slot, ahead of Amped and Tracker according to WZ Ranked.

However, ZLaner believes that Warzone 2 would be better off without it: “It’s so broken, it’s so annoying. I’d rather it not be in the game.”

Forgotten Modern Warfare LMG has Warzone’s best long-range TTK

Warzone expert WhosImmortal has found an LMG with a 0.07% pick rate that actually has the fastest long-range TTK in the game.

M91 LMG in Modern Warfare

Players are always looking for the best weapons in Warzone, and expert WhosImmortal has revealed that the forgotten Modern Warfare M91 LMG currently has the best long-range TTK in the game.

Warzone Season 4 Reloaded introduced a host of weapon buffs and nerfs, shaking up the game’s meta.

While guns like the H4 Blixen, Armaguerra, and Cooper Carbine have dominated the game in recent weeks, players are always looking for meta-busting weapons that have flown under the radar.

It looks like Warzone expert WhosImmortal may have discovered one of these unknown beasts, revealing in his latest video that the M91 LMG from Modern Warfare has the fastest TTK of any long-range weapon.

TTK is “time to kill,” which simply means how long it takes a weapon to kill an enemy from the moment you pull the trigger. The lower the TTK, the quicker you will get the elimination, provided that you’re hitting your shots.

In a video breaking down the five Warzone weapons with the best TTKs in the game right now, WhosImmortal dropped a surprising pick for the long-range weapon that will wipe out opponents the quickest.

“This one might be a bit of a surprise,” the YouTuber stated. “The M91 LMG from Modern Warfare actually is a powerhouse. It has just under an 850ms TTK at about 60 meters, and it doesn’t have a steep damage dropoff. Around 40-45 meters, lots of weapons have a big [damage] dropoff and another one at 70-90 meters.”

According to WhosImmortal, the best loadout to make the most of this weapon is:

  • Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
  • Barrel: M91 Heavy
  • Laser: Tac Laser
  • Optic: VLK 3.0x Optic
  • Underbarrel: Foregrip

Despite having a quick TTK, only 0.07% of Warzone players are using the M91 LMG in Warzone at the moment, meaning this is an extremely underrated pick.

Warzone Pacific features a wide variety of powerful Assault Rifles to choose from, and the Season 4 Reloaded update brought numerous buffs and nerfs to these weapons, shaking up the meta.

Even after these balancing adjustments, the Cooper Carbine remains a viable choice, and you can make it even better by equipping the right attachments, Perks, and Equipment.

Here’s the best Cooper Carbine loadout in Warzone Pacific Season 4 Reloaded.

Best Warzone Pacific Cooper Carbine attachments

Warzone Pacific Cooper Carbine attachments
  • Muzzle: MX Silencer
  • Barrel: 22” Cooper Custom
  • Optic: G16 2.5x
  • Stock: Cooper 45RS
  • Underbarrel: m1941 Hand Stop
  • Magazine: 9mm 60 Round Drums
  • Ammunition: Lengthened
  • Rear Grip: Polymer Grip
  • Perk 1: Tight Grip
  • Perk 2: Fully Loaded

We’ll start off this Warzone loadout by boosting the damage range and recoil control of the weapon with the help of the MX Silencer muzzle and 22″ Cooper Custom barrel. You can use the muzzle’s sound suppression to keep your shots hidden.

Next, we’ll buff the Cooper Carbine’s accuracy and aiming stability by equipping the m1941 Hand Stop, Cooper 45RS, and Polymer Grip. This will allow you to beam enemies in mid-range combat.

The 9mm 60 Round Drums ensure that you have plenty of ammo and we picked the Lengthened ammo to boost the bullet velocity, ensuring that your rounds shred through enemies extremely fast.

Finally, for our choice of perks, we equipped Tight Grip to boost the gun’s accuracy when continuously firing, and Fully Loaded ensures that you start off with the maximum amount of ammo.

Best Perks & Equipment to use with Warzone Pacific Cooper Carbine

  • Perk 1: E.O.D
  • Perk 2: Overkill
  • Perk 3: Amped
  • Lethal: Semtex
  • Tactical: Stim

For your first Perk, we recommend equipping E.O.D to protect you from explosive damage as enemies throw Grenades and Thermites your way. Using Overkill will let you pair the Cooper Carbine with a close-range weapon like the Marco 5.

Finally, Amped will help you swap between the two weapons quickly. The Semtex Lethal Equipment lets you deal explosive damage to opponents, and the Stim grants you a health boost.

How to unlock Cooper Carbine in Warzone Pacific

Cooper Carbine Vanguard AR

You don’t need to worry about completing any challenges in order to unlock the Cooper Carbine in Vanguard and Warzone Pacific, as this Assault Rifle is completely free in Season 4 Reloaded.

Normally you would need to tackle a challenge that requires you to get five headshots with an Assault Rifle in 15 different completed matches. This might become a requirement again once Season 5 goes live.

Most recent Cooper Carbine buffs and nerfs in Warzone

The Season 4 Reloaded update featured balancing updates for numerous Warzone weapons, and the Cooper Carbine Assault Rifle received a notable nerf to one of its magazine attachments.

Here are all the Cooper Carbine changes:

Cooper Carbine (VG)

  • 9mm 60 Round Drums
    • Horizontal Recoil control decreased to 11%, down from 29.5%

Best alternatives to Warzone Pacific Cooper Carbine

If you’re looking for a great alternative to this Cooper Carbine loadout, then we recommend trying out the NZ-41 which continues to dominate medium-range combat situations. The KG M40 is another great Assault Rifle that can dish out a ton of pain.
