Warzone players have long wanted changes to the powerful Stopping Power Rounds Field Upgrade, so Raven Software reduced its spawn rate in the Season 3 Reloaded update and explained why they made the change.
Introduced in Modern Warfare (2019), Field Upgrades are powerful devices that you can use to gain the upper hand in battle. Examples of these are Dead Silence which silences your footsteps, Munitions Box to resupply your ammo, and Stopping Power Rounds which make your weapon do a ton more damage.
Some of these Field Upgrades made their way to Warzone where they can be found on the ground, in Supply Crates, or bought from a Buy Station. Players have long complained about the power of Stopping Power and Dead Silence in the battle royale, so Raven Software reduced Stopping Power’s spawn rate in Warzone.
As part of the Season 3 Reloaded update, in which they buffed Cold War Snipers and teased the removal of Berthas from Solos, Raven also confirmed they’ve reduced the amount of Stopping Power that can be found in Verdansk ’84.
In the official patch notes, Warzone devs stated that “Stopping Power Field Upgrade spawn rates have been reduced substantially across all modes.” They then went into detail about why this change was made.
“Given Stopping Power’s efficacy and lack of counter play options, we felt its power level was at odds with its availability,” they explained. “We want to create more scenarios where a measured choice about how and when to utilize Field Upgrades is not just rewarded but encouraged.”
They continued to say that they felt “There was hardly an incorrect way to apply Stopping Power.” As soon as you found it, you could load it into your weapon straight away and carry on, likely finding it again soon.
“Our hope by drastically reducing its presence within Warzone is that we introduce a small strategy-based control,” they concluded. “Those who loot efficiently increase their odds of finding it.”
Members of the community such as Tyler “TeeP” Polchow and Jack “CouRage” Dunlop have welcomed the change, although TeeP said, “Let’s hit deady (Dead Silence) next.”
It’s clear that Warzone’s developers are listening to the community’s feedback, so it’s highly likely that Raven are keeping an eye on Dead Silence, as well as the “broken” Streamer Mode that caused issues in a recent $100k Warzone tournament.

- Stock: KGB Skeletal Stock
- Underbarrel: Spetsnaz Grip
- Ammunition: 65 Rnd
Our Warzone loadout will focus on improving the Bullfrog’s movement speed so that you can eliminate your foes quickly. First, we’ll apply the GRU Suppressor to boost the damage range and hide you from enemy maps when firing.
You can combine this with the 7.4″ Task Force barrel to maximize the amount of damage that this SMG is capable of dealing. The KGB Skeletal Stock lets you move at greater speeds when aiming down the sights and strafing.
Finally, we’ll cap off this loadout by equipping the 65 Rnd ammunition and Bruiser Grip to greatly increase your movement, strafe speed, hip-fire accuracy, and ensure you have enough ammunition to tackle full squads in Caldera.
Best Warzone Bullfrog Perks & Equipment
- Perk 1: E.O.D.
- Perk 2: Overkill/Ghost

We recommend starting a loadout with Overkill for our second perk and then using a second loadout to switch to a loadout with Ghost equipped.
This will give you two of your favorite weapons, with the bonus of the Ghost perk that will keep you from being detected by UAVs and Heartbeat Sensors.
Combat Scout lets you mark any enemies that you hit so that your whole squad can spot them. This Perk is extremely useful given Caldera’s landscape is full of trees and places to hide.
Most recent Bullfrog buffs and nerfs
The best Warzone Bullfrog loadout underwent a set of major changes in the September 23 update for Warzone Season 5. These changes nerfed the Bullfrog’s mobility by reducing different movement speeds. The unique SMG has not been addressed since.
The Bullfrog (BOCW) is a true jack of all trades. It has great Mobility, Effective Damage Range, Handling, and base Magazine Capacity – which would often act as a free Attachment. These changes, in conjunction with a Recoil bug fix, will bring the Bullfrog (BOCW) much closer to the competition.
You find these changes in detail below:
- ADS Speed decreased by 9%
- Movement Speed decreased by 1%
- ADS Movement Speed decreased by 2%
How to Unlock The Bullfrog
The Bullfrog is a bit of a grind to unlock for this Warzone loadout, requiring players to reach Level 43 in either Black Ops Cold War or Warzone Pacific.
Double XP Events and Double XP Tokens should help you on your journey and will unlock the best attachments quicker.

Warzone players call for Raven to steal exciting Apex Legends feature
Warzone players are calling for the developers to add a feature seen in Apex Legends to improve the player experience.
Warzone players are calling for Raven Software to add a certain feature to Warzone that is available to players in Apex Legends.
Although players were seemingly looking forward to the prospect of a new battle royale map for Warzone Pacific, there’s clearly a lot that players would like to see improve, with NICKMERCS recently sharing his opinion on the matter.
Now, players are calling for a feature from Apex Legends that may alleviate player frustrations when it comes to the map.
Reddit user duffwardo posed a question in the Warzone subreddit that asks: “Would adding timed map rotations into Warzone improve the game?”
The post has an image attached showing Verdansk ’84, the original Verdansk map, and Caldera side by side suggesting that these maps would be in rotation for the battle royale.
This is a feature that is already present in Warzone’s battle royale competitor Apex Legends. In Apex, battle royale maps rotate every hour or so to keep the game fresh and exciting.
This means that players aren’t just fighting in the same locations again and again, and they get to experience some variation when the map rotates. It seems this is something Warzone players would like as well, especially those who miss Verdansk, as one player in the comments wrote:
“That would be great so I could skip Caldera every time its in rotation, like everyone else would. Everyone wants Verdansk back.”
The major difference is that Apex Legends has four maps to rotate between and will sometimes take a map away for a whole season and then bring it back to make it feel even more refreshing.
Warzone really only has two maps, Caldera and Verdansk. As one comment points out, it may be pointless to have both Verdansk and Verdanks ’84 due to their likeness: “I see no point rotating between verdansk and verdansk 84, one or the other but preferably OG verdansk.”
This probably won’t be added to Warzone due to the sheer size that it would make the game, especially as it would likely cause even more bugs and issues than already present.
Perhaps this is something we will see for the reported Warzone 2, which is set to be a completely new battle royale game.
