Infinity Ward has posted a tweet confirming the studio is fast tracking a fix for the weapon glitch occurring in Call of Duty: Warzone, especially on PC.
The glitch blows the weapon’s polygon out of proportion when rendering causing it to block the entire screen.
This issue started to happen with the Season 5 update last week and is continuing to cause issues for many PC players. Many of the largest PC creators have voiced their frustration over the issue.
In a tweet, the studio confirms they are working to get out a fix ASAP.
A release time frame for this fix is not confirmed at the time of this writing, so stay tuned for updates.
Warzone devs address bugged CX-9 unlock challenge
Players can now get the CX-9 SMG in Call of Duty: Warzone. However, a bugged unlock challenge was preventing players from acquiring it.
August 3, 2021, saw the long-awaited CX-9 SMG finally become available for Warzone and Modern Warfare players to unlock, but its unlock challenge was not working correctly and preventing players from adding the CX-9 to their inventories.
Players wishing for the arrival of this weapon got their wishes answered on August 3, 2021, when the Warzone CX-9 SMG was added to the Call of Duty battle royale through an unlock challenge and the Soap Operator Bundle.
However, many players have not yet been able to successfully unlock the Warzone CX-9 due to its challenge being bugged and not tracking progress properly.
Raven Software, the development studio behind Call of Duty: Warzone, took to its official Twitter account on August 3 and updated the community regarding the bugged Warzone CX-9 unlock challenge.
The development studio stated that it was aware of the issue regarding the unlock challenge for the new Modern Warfare SMG and that it was investigating the problem.
This issue was then posted to the official Raven Software Trello board, where current issues with Warzone that are currently being investigated and worked on by Raven Software can be found.
The studio went on to post a follow-up announcement stating that it had resolved this issue and that players should now be able to get and level the new SMG without any problems.
Players can keep track of Raven’s progress on fixing these issues, like the bugged CX-9 unlock challenge on this Trello board.
With the Warzone CX-9 being a highly anticipated weapon for many months, many players were extremely excited to get the chance to finally unlock it and start using it in their battles on Verdansk, Rebirth Island, or Modern warfare Multiplayer, but were disappointed and frustrated that they were not able to unlock this weapon for a period of time properly.
We will update this piece with future updates regarding the bugged Warzone CX-9 unlock challenge when more information is provided by Raven Software.

NICKMERCS explains why he is taking a break from Call of Duty: Warzone
NICKMERCS has been a loyal Warzone player for sometime now, but the fan-favorite content creator has recently explained why he will be taking a break.
Popular Warzone content creator NICKMERCS is officially taking a break from Warzone, with his eyes set on another battle royale game.
With new details on the future Call of Duty coming out, Warzone has been experiencing a slightly dry spell as of recent.
In the YouTuber’s latest video, NICKMERCS expresses his current feelings towards Warzone, which may come as a surprise to many of his followers.
Ultimately, NICKMERCS stated that he was bored of Warzone, and no longer has the desire to play it. As he is no longer having fun playing it, he believes the best thing for him to do is take a break from the game, especially with all the hackers.
Those fans of his who love watching him play Warzone may have to wait a little while until he is back on the game, but he does say that it isn’t the end of Warzone.
NICKMERCS will most likely head back onto the game when there is an exciting update, possibly when the new Call of Duty game, Vanguard, comes out.
Ultimately, NICKMERCS is a human, and with the amount that he has played Warzone, it was only a matter of time until he was going to get bored of the game and no longer having fun with it, especially with the hacker problem that has grown incredibly frustrating for the community.
To make the best content he needs to play something he’s having fun on, and at the moment that is Apex Legends.

Warzone & Cold War Season 5 Operator officially revealed in key art
Key art for Warzone and Cold War Season 5 has reportedly been leaked, revealing the upcoming Operator and a brand-new weapon.
Call of Duty: Warzone and Cold War’s Season 5 Operator and theme have been officially revealed in artwork for the new season.
Warzone and Cold War Season 4 brought a ton of new content to both games, but we’re fast approaching Season 5. There are no official details on what the new season will entail, but one of the biggest expectations is that WW2 Vanguard will be revealed inside Warzone.
However, the Season 5 artwork was reportedly leaked, giving us a look at the brand-new Operator and weapon coming with this new Season before the artwork was officially confirmed by the Call of Duty franchise.
Call of Duty leaker and data miner Nanikos posted a ton of information about Warzone and Cold War Season 5 to the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit. Here, they shared an Imgur link to the leaked Season 5 artwork.
In this image, we can see the supposed Season 5 Operator ‘Kitsune’ wielding what appears to be akimbo TEC-9 Pistols. She’s also surrounded by the numbers associated with Black Ops and Warzone’s Red Doors, so the season will likely continue this ongoing story.
This leak was then officially confirmed on August 3, 2021, when the official Call of Duty Twitter account posted the previously leaked artwork while confirming that Season 5 for Black Ops Cold War and Warzone will start on August 12.
Providing more information, Nanikos said that the season is “Japanese themed” and will feature the TEC-9 Pistol that can be spotted in the artwork.
Nanikos also said that we’ll “probably see” the classic Summit map in a new Outbreak region as well as a standalone Summit for 6v6 multiplayer. While there’s no confirmation that they will come in Season 5, the leaker said they “know they’re coming” and will be in Season 6 if not. This follows the recent leak that Cold War will receive 12 more maps.
Nanikos continued that “there is also still PHD and Double Tap for zombies and the lightning links field upgrade” still to come.
Besides the Season 5 artwork that has been officially revealed, all of the other leaks should be taken with the standard pinch of salt. Season 5 is set to launch on August 12, and we’ll know the concrete details when Treyarch and Raven Software releases the official roadmap ahead of this date.
