Infinity Ward’s Joe Cecot has confirmed on Twitter that the studio plans to revamp the UI in Call of Duty: Warzone playlist selection screen to allow for more clarity and additional modes to be shown at the same time.
Currently, the screen gets way to cluttered and modes get lost into additional menus to keep all the modes active at the same time.
This future UI could help prevent having to hide modes away in smaller menus, and allow all options for players interested in picking the mode they want.
It’s not clear yet when this new update will be coming.
Cecot has also confirmed that Plunder will make a return soon, but they had to remove to allow for the MP Free Trials and Rumble mode to be added to the game. There was no room for those modes for the weekend.
Stay tuned for the latest on Call of Duty: Warzone.
How to see players through walls in Call of Duty Warzone
These watches are allowing players to see their enemies through walls in Call of Duty: Warzone.
Players have taken notice that a certain player item can make enemies stand out through walls.
Detecting players in Warzone has always been up to keeping a close eye on your radar and listening to footsteps, trying to get every edge you can against your opponent.
However, you might actually be giving yourself a significant disadvantage in Warzone without even noticing, allowing other players to see you through walls.
In a reddit post by Twitch streamer and Tik-Toker Jetskji, he shows us – in a quite entertaining and hilarious format, how this glitch works.
The glitch revolves around the usage of the “Time of Season” or “Strange Magic” digital watches, given out during The Haunting Of Verdansk event. This seems to be a purely visual glitch, where the game fails to stop the watch from shining through surfaces.
If you have a keen eye, you will spot players wearing this watch through walls. It may seem hard to notice, but small signs of an enemy player like a green light through a wall may be just enough to get an early edge against an opponent.
If you have been using this watch and have been shot through a wall or detected before another player would have known your location, this might be the culprit.
Jetskji appropriately refers to the watch as the “Green Watch of Death,” since this also stretches to the Orange watches, we suppose we can coin them the “Glowing Watches of Death.”
With Season 1 of Black Ops Cold War coming to Warzone, hopefully, Infinity Ward can fix this before the huge update. Season 1 for Warzone and Black Ops Cold War should include a new “Classified” event, the unification of a new progression system across Call of Duty titles, and the introduction of Black Ops Cold War weapons.
We’ll update you if we see a patch come to this glitch before the beginning of the next season.
Modern Warfare’s Season 6 has been extended
While Season 1 of Black Ops Cold War is on the horizon, Infinity Ward have confirmed that Modern Warfare’s Season 6 has been extended.
Infinity Ward has confirmed that Modern Warfare’s sixth season has been extended ahead of the release of Black Ops Cold War’s Season 1.
In a brief update today, Infinity Ward announced that they would be extending Season 6 of Modern Warfare until December 7 at 11PM PST. This means it will end two days before the expected release of Black Ops Cold War’s first season on December 9 at 11PM PST.
This was first noticed by YouTuber WhosImmortal, who spotted the change when he booted up Warzone on November 24. Immortal then tweeted a screenshot of the Modern Warfare Battle Pass, which had been updated with the extension.
In terms of what will happen to Modern Warfare at the conclusion of Season 6, things remain up in the air with no official confirmation from Infinity Ward as to whether there will be a seventh season.
When asked about the possibility of Modern Warfare Season 7 happening, Lead Multiplayer VFX artist Reed Shingledecker stated that there would be “more content coming,” although he wasn’t sure what the name of the content drop would be.
It is possible that Black Ops Cold War’s Season 1 could drop content for both it and Warzone, while Modern Warfare’s next update could just focus on its own multiplayer mode, but that is still unconfirmed.
What we do know is that Black Ops Cold War’s Battle Pass system will be integrated across Warzone and the game and that Modern Warfare will adopt a new progression system between the modern Call of Duty titles.
It’s unlikely Activision and the development teams would release a separate Battle Pass for Modern Warfare, especially considering that Black Ops Cold War’s Battle Pass will be active at the same time.
For now, the wait remains until season 1 releases on December 9th. This update will bring the long-awaited progression system sync between Modern Warfare, Warzone, and Black Ops Cold War.
Additionally, we will see the first drop of weapons in the battle pass that will be available in both Warzone and Black Ops Cold War, which will be a huge change in how players experience the core Call of Duty titles.
New Zombies modes, more multiplayer maps and the return of 2v2 gunfight (with maps) are also expected in the content drop.
A new “Classified” Warzone experience will also become available when the season releases, so content will be plentiful across Warzone and Black Ops Cold War.
How to use Black Ops Cold War Operators in Warzone
Cold War Operators have entered Warzone. Here’s how to use them.
Black Ops Cold War operators can now be used inside of Modern Warfare’s Warzone. You cannot use these operators in the Modern Warfare multiplayer.
Recently, the ability to use Black Ops Cold War operators in Warzone has been added. This is in preparation for the first season of Black Ops Cold War and the huge level system integration coming to Warzone.
Within a few weeks, we will see the convergence of the Black Ops and Modern Warfare universe with the ability to cross-progress weapons, challenges, and rank (XP/Prestige) across the two recent Call of Duty titles.
In order to set up for this, Infinity Ward has removed factions from Warzone and have added every operator into a large pool for players to choose from as their preferred drop operator for Warzone.
In order to select a Black Ops Cold War operator in Warzone, you will first need to own Black Ops Cold War and have the operator already unlocked.
Once this is done, all the operators you have unlocked in Black Ops Cold War so far will also be usable in the ‘Operators’ section in the Warzone list.
You may be using a different Activision account on your Warzone account if you’re missing your operators, or you may not have all the operators unlocked.
You can expect to see future Black Ops Cold War operators coming to Warzone as well. When the cosmetic shop drops along with COD point functionality when Season 1 begins, the packs you purchase in-game will clearly list what items and operators will be usable in both Warzone and Black Ops Cold War.
As of writing, all launch operators are in the game. They are as follows
It is unclear if in the future the operators will be separated into tabs based on the game they came from. As of now, the Cold War operators are added into the middle of the Warzone roster.
