Raven Software has responded to fans complaint that the DMR nerf in Call of Duty: Warzone was not enough.

The studio released an in game update for Call of Duty: Warzone on Wednesday, January 6 that was intended to address the issues caused by the DMR in the game.

The patch notes for the January 6 update revealed the following changes:

  • DMR 14 – Reduced headshot damage, increased recoil
  • Type 63 – Reduced headshot damage, increased recoil
  • Mac-10 – Decreased headshot multiplier
  • Dual pistols – Increased hip fire spread, decreased damage range

However, shortly after the patch went live, many fans started complaining about the nerf to the DMR not being enough, including many content creators.

Now, Raven Software has shared a tweet on January 7 stating that they are consistently looking at all of the feedback from players and monitoring the best changes to make. Their tweet states they are pushing for ‘the best gameplay experience’ possible in Warzone.

It’s not clear at this time how or when they will make more changes to the DMR, but fans continue to be experiencing issues with the weapon in Warzone.

Amazing Warzone glitch turns Rebirth Island into a neon disco

A Warzone player was subjected to a cool glitch in which Rebirth Island turned into a complete glowing disco.

rebirth island disco

Call of Duty: Warzone’s Rebirth Island was unexpectedly turned into a full-on disco during one player’s game, with the glitch turning Alcatraz into something far more welcoming.

Rebirth Island has extremely similar vibes to the world-famous Alcatraz prison, and as such, makes for the perfect setting for a battle royale game. The game mode is very popular in Warzone, with people like NICKMERCS enjoying the mode more than battle royale at times.

A glitch has turned the intimidating island into something more pleasing on the eye though. Attempting to drop onto the location, one player’s version of Rebirth Island was given a rather bright makeover as a weird glitch turned the infamous land into a disco, dancing paradise.

Reddit user ItsNotAlex is the player that reported the Rebirth glitch, and their video showed just how insane the visual actually was.

As they parachuted into Rebirth Island, practically every building was glowing with a distinct neon aura. The player’s weapon, trees, and anything you can think of were illuminated by a vast array of colors.

They spent all of their pre-lobby time trying to get kills and take in their unusual scenery before the match started.

It’s one of the first recognized instances of this happening in Warzone, with Black Ops Cold War being quite experienced in this department.

Previously, Cold War has had its own disco room in Outbreak and even turned a complete section of Raid into Mario Kart’s Rainbow Road.

It’s not the worst glitch in the world to experience in Warzone with God Mode glitches and invisibility glitches being far worse. With how rare texture glitches like these are it’s probably best not to worry too much about it being a regular thing.

Warzone players call for popular Apex Legends feature to be added

Some Warzone players are calling for the developers to implement a feature from Apex Legends, which involves player K/D ratios.

apex legends and Warzone k/d

With both Warzone and Apex Legends being extremely popular battle royales, of course, people are going to compare them, with some calling for a feature from Respawn’s game to be added in Warzone.

With the recent news surrounding Apex Legends’ upcoming season, some Warzone players may have been intrigued to check the game out and give it a shot, especially as CouRageJD recently stated that Apex was the best battle royale currently available.

In doing so, players may have noticed differences, not just in gameplay, but also in the stats and recordings of player progression, which some players want for Warzone.

Warzone

Reddit user and Warzone player Excellent_Pass3746 posted his opinion online of which specific Apex Legends feature they would like to see in Warzone.

The post is entitled “KD should reset every season (Or at least show your KD for each season)”

This is a feature that is currently in Apex Legends, however, it doesn’t reset, it simply shows you your K/D for each season, while also showing your overall K/D from every season combined.

This would be great for Warzone, as then players can look back and see how much they have progressed, while also seeing how much of an effect each season’s K/D has on the overall number.

The argument presented is that players would like to see this progression and improvement, and not be defined by their K/D that got off to a bad start when they were learning the game.

Experienced Call of Duty players may have taken to Warzone much faster then those who are new to the franchise, thus this change would be a nice quality-of-life update for players.

Fans in the comments also agree, as although there are alternatives out there for checking your K/D monthly on Warzone, it “would be nice to have it on the game.”

Best ZRG 20mm loadout for CoD: Warzone Season 4

You can equip a few select attachments and perks to the ZRG 20mm Sniper Rifle to make the best Warzone ZRG loadout for Season 4 of the battle royale.

Best Warzone ZRG Loadout

The ZRG 20mm is an extremely powerful Sniper Rifle, and we’ll go over the best Warzone ZRG loadout to enhance its capabilities for Season 4 of the Call of Duty battle royale.

It always helps to keep your enemies at a distance when battling it out on either Verdansk ’84 or Rebirth Island. Call of Duty: Warzone has a wide collection of Sniper Rifles to choose from, and the ZRG 20mm definitely worth your consideration.

This weapon arrived in Black Ops Cold War on April 7. It boasts an extremely high bullet velocity and is capable of dishing out large amounts of damage. Here are the best attachments and perks to make the best Warzone ZRG loadout for Season 4 Reloaded.

Best Warzone ZRG loadout attachments

  • Muzzle: Task Force Shroud
  • Barrel: 43.9″ Combat Recon
  • Ammo: 5 RND magazine
  • Handle: Serpent Wrap
  • Optic: Variable Zoom Scope

The ZRG 20mm’s bullet velocity and damage make it capable of one-shot killing opponents during long-range encounters. However, it has the slowest rate of fire in the game. So, this loadout will focus on maximizing its effective damage range.

We’ll start with the Task Force Shroud muzzle to further improve the bullet velocity while decreasing your ADS speed. This will ultimately improve the effective damage range of the gun, making it a powerhouse in long-range combat.

Next, we’ll go with the Serpent Wrap handle to get back some of the weapon’s ADS speed at the cost of some Sprint to Fire time. However, you won’t have to worry about that too much when using a sniper rifle.

The 5 RND magazine will add a couple of extra rounds to the weapon’s default magazine. This way you won’t have to worry about reloading as often in the midst of combat, which means you’ll be less vulnerable.

Finally, we’ll cap off the best Warzone ZRG loadout with the Variable Zoom Scope, as it’s going to prove useful across different distances when playing on a large map like Rebirth Island. Despite this, you can pick whichever scope you want.

Best Perks to use with Warzone ZRG 20mm class

best perks warzone zrg class
  • Perk 1 – E.O.D.
  • Perk 2 – Overkill/Ghost
  • Perk 3 – Amped

Having extra protection against explosives is never a bad thing, so using E.O.D. will allow you to not suffer as much lost health when getting by the likes of a Semtex or C4 in what could be the difference between living or being eliminated.

The ZRG is an extremely deadly weapon at long distances, but you will need a suitable secondary weapon to use in close-quarters and medium-distance engagements. Using Overkill will allow you to have an Assault Rifle or SMG with you in addition to this sniper.

You can then pick up Ghost from a second loadout drop to stop showing up on enemy mini-maps when they use UAVs or appearing on their Heartbeat Sensors.

Players using this sniper rifle will notice that it is extremely heavy and can cause your character to take some time to switch between it and your secondary. Amped will speed up your weapon swap speed and help you avoid getting eliminated because you could not switch weapons in time.

How to unlock the ZRG 20mm

To get this weapon for the best Warzone ZRG loadout, you’ll need to complete a challenge that requires you to “Earn 2 Longshot medals in 10 different matches using Sniper Rifles.” The gun is available in Black Ops Cold War as well.

You’ll need to be careful about leaving the match too early after earning 2 Longshot Medals, as it might not count. For a more detailed walkthrough, you can check out our guide on unlocking the ZRG 20MM.

Best alternatives

The LW3 Tundra is another great Sniper Rifle that comes with impressive bullet velocity, making it ideal for picking off enemies from a distance. You can also try out the M82 as a viable alternative to the best Warzone ZRG loadout.
