Warzone devs working to fix issue with hit markers following Feb 5 update

Raven’s February 4, 2021 update has added a game breaking issue into Call of Duty Warzone that breaks hitmarkers.

Raven’s February 4, 2021 update has added two huge game-breaking bugs into Warzone for players.

Update 2/5/2021 1 PM EST: Raven Software is investigating issues with this bug, per the studio’s Trello board.

In a patch meant to fix bugs like the stim glitch in Call of Duty: Warzone, new bugs have arisen as a result. Previously we reported on players being unable to change their operator, leaving players unable to use skins they purchased for the time being.

Now, we have a bug that has appeared for select players that remove hitmarkers, making it impossible for players to know if they’re hitting their target in the heat of battle.

Of course, you can always listen for audio cues, like armor cracking or the sound of hitting player flesh to figure out what kind of HP they are at, but unfortunately, this means all other players are at an advantage against you, who do have hitmarker functionality.

Frusterated players took to social media to vent, including Redditor MoJozzZ. In his original post, he states having no hitmarkers is tilting him, and that the 11gb patch barely fixed a thing.

In response to his thread, other confused users responded, stating “Just installed the update on Xbox – same here, no hitmarkers; only armor break is showing up” and others reporting the same on PS4. “Same here on PS4. Terrible…”.

In addition to players complaining about hitmarkers, one commenter complained that his reticle was randomly disappearing, and in response others flocked to agree, including the original poster.

Currently, it is unknown exactly what causes this bug and what players have this issue specifically. As for now, it seems like the lottery if you’ll get this or not. Raven has not commented yet on this issue, so hopefully they will notice and fix within the coming days.

We’ll update you if we hear more.

What are Redacted Weapons in Warzone Iron Trials? How to get high-rarity guns

Iron Trials ’84 added Redacted Weapons into the Warzone mix. Here’s our guide on what they are, and how to get hold of them.

Warzone’s brand new Iron Trials ’84 has introduced a new weapon type labeled ‘Redacted.’ But what are they, and how do you get hold of them? We’ve got all the details here.

Warzone Season 5 Reloaded brought with it a new hardcore game mode called Iron Trials ’84, and it’s gone down very well among the community.

Iron Trials ups the ante in a number of ways, such as by increasing the time-to-kill and making loadout drops more expensive.

Among the changes the mode has brought with it is the addition of Redacted Weapons, leaving players wondering exactly what they are. We’ve got the lowdown below.

What are Warzone Redacted Weapons?

Put simply, Redacted Weapons are another rarity of gun that you can find in any game of Iron Trials, similar to the Common, Rare, and Legendary tags that will be familiar to players.

Redacted Weapons are unique because they come equipped with eight attachments, more than Raven Software has ever allowed in the normal Warzone mode.

While the extra attachments are far from a guaranteed win, they do give players who find them an advantage in firefights, as they have more buffed stats than the usual assortment of weapons.

How to find Redacted Weapons in Warzone

There’s no doubt that the sheer number of attachments will leave players itching to get their hands on one in their next game.

Unfortunately, there is no sure-fire way to get hold of a Redacted Weapon. They are found in ground loot – the same as any other gun scattered across Verdansk.

Their extra rarity means that they are most likely to drop out of the rare orange supply boxes found inside buildings, but this is by no means guaranteed every time.

They can also be seen lying on the floor in some cases, but hunting for supply crates with high rarity is the most likely way to find one.

Even though there is no method of ensuring you’ll stumble across a Redacted Weapon, players looking for an extra edge in battle should keep an eye out when looting up for any guns with this tag.

New leak claims Fortnite is adding another Warzone feature

Some new Fortnite leaks suggest that Epic Games are planning to implement a feature from Warzone in the game.

Ghost from Warzone and Jonesy in Fortnite

Some new leaks have emerged which suggest that Epic Games will be adding the sliding mechanic from Call of Duty: Warzone to Fortnite in a future update.

Battle Royale titles are highly competitive, and fans often call for these games to take inspiration from each other. Apex Legends players want Warzone’s matchmaking, and Warzone fans want Halo: Infinite’s Battle Pass system.

Now, some new leaks have revealed that Epic Games might be planning to add a feature from Warzone to Fortnite, as the game will reportedly get a sliding movement mechanic soon.

These leaks came from notable data miner HYPEX, who claims that the Fortnite developers are working on a new movement type in the game. This will come with a few benefits for players.

“It will increase your FOV by 15 when you’re sliding and it will make your camera shake, with a cooldown of 2 seconds,” HYPEX tweeted. “I don’t know the release date or if it’s gonna be an item!”

This sliding movement has been a staple of both Apex Legends and Warzone, so it might provide to be an exciting addition to Fortnite.

It’s worth keeping in mind that this is currently just a leak, and you should take this information with a grain of salt until Epic Games confirms this. If it’s true, then this might be an exciting change.

The developers could introduce a cooldown timer so that players don’t abuse this mechanic in combat. If it arrives in the game soon, then we will probably see some big changes in player tactics.

We’ll keep checking for updates regarding this. For more Fortnite, check out all the Bounty Board Locations in Season 8, and stay tuned to Charlie INTEL!
