A forgotten Modern Warfare LMG may now be the long-range meta in Warzone Season 4 Reloaded according to YouTuber WhosImmortal.

The Warzone Season 4 Reloaded update has definitely shaken up the meta with buffs and nerfs to various weapons.

Players have started to notice that Modern Warfare and Cold War weapons are much more viable than they were, even if Vanguard guns are still dominating the pick rates.

Modern Warfare weapons like the VLK Rogue and Kilo 141 have edged into the meta, but the August 3 patch may change that. Now a Warzone expert is claiming that a Modern Warfare LMG is at the top of the long-range options for Season 4 Reloaded.

Warzone content creator WhosImmortal revealed their picks for the long-range meta in Warzone Season 4 Reloaded. As well as some obvious choices such as the NZ-41 and the BAR, WhosImmortal also revealed that Modern Warfare’s PKM LMG is now a “powerhouse,” and now a meta option for long-range.

The PKM has previously been considered a meta long-range weapon in Warzone, but that was some seasons ago. The forgotten LMG could be making a return in Season 4 Reloaded, as WhosImmortal states that “for power, for long-range engagements, this thing can decimate.”

The Warzone expert also states that it’s not hard to land your shots with this weapon, as the “recoil is very, very consistent,” especially with the following loadout.

WhosImmortal’s Warzone Season 4 Reloaded PKM loadout

  • Barrel: 26.9″ Extended Barrel
  • Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
  • Optic: VLK 3.0x
  • Underbarrel: Snatch Grip
  • Laser: Tac Laser

WhosImmortal opts for the Monolithic Suppressor for damage range with his Warzone PKM loadout. In order to tame the recoil while also increasing the damage range, the 26.9″ Extended Barrel is a great option.

As you’ll need to be hitting your shots, the Snatch Grip and VLK 3.0 Optic will help improve the recoil and accuracy of the weapon. This underbarrel attachment will also improve the weapon’s ADS speed, which is vital for an LMG.

In order to further improve the PKM’s slow ADS, the Tac Laser is a very good option, as it also improves the weapon’s aiming stability and walking steadiness.

WhosImmortal claims the PKM is now a “top tier gun,” but unfortunately isn’t being talked about. If you’re looking for a new long-ranged weapon, definitely make sure you give this loadout a try.
