Warzone expert reveals best close-range meta weapon after Season 5 update
Call of Duty expert WhosImmortal took a look at the Warzone Pacific meta in Season 5 and revealed the best weapon for players to use in close-range battles.
The Season 5 update significantly altered the Warzone Pacific meta by introducing numerous weapon buffs and nerfs along with brand-new unlockable guns like the RA 225 SMG.
As a result of these changes, players are wondering which guns are the most effective ones in the game. Now, Warzone expert WhosImmortal has revealed the ideal close-range weapon choice in Season 5.
He stated that Season 5 features one of the “best and diverse” metas in the game and that the Vanguard PPSh-41 had the top spot on his list. This weapon has risen in popularity after some of its attachments were buffed in the update.
WhosImmortal stated that other weapons like the Volk, Cooper Carbine, Type 100, MP40, H4 Blixen, and Armaguerra 43 were all close behind. However, the PPSh-41 is the best choice in the SMG class.
WhosImmortal’s Warzone PPSh-41 loadout
- Muzzle: Recoil Booster
- Barrel: Empress 140mm Rapid
- Optic: Kovalevskaya ISO3P
- Stock: Removed Stock
- Underbarrel: M1915 Steady
- Magazine: 8mm Nambu 71 Round Mag
- Ammo Type: Subsonic
- Rear Grip: Taped Grip
- Perk 1: Fleet
- Perk 2: Quick
WhosImmortal uses the Empress 140mm Rapid barrel to improve the weapon’s fire rate. He then equips the Removed Stock and M1915 Steady underbarrel to boost hip fire accuracy so that the weapon can beam enemies.
The Warzone expert picked Fleet as his first Perk in order to swap weapons much quicker. He explained that “movement is just so important on these builds for close range,” so he used Quick to increase the sprint speed.
With these attachments equipped, you can use the PPSh to dish out pain extremely fast in Warzone Pacific Season 5. Other content creators like FaZe Booya have also recommended this weapon to players.
