Warzone hacker gets banned after mistakingly showing cheats live on stream
A Warzone hacker was banned after being outed on Twitter for using cheats live on stream.
While Warzone is one of the most popular battle royale games, it’s no secret that it’s riddled with hackers. There are so many cheaters that many large personalities have left the game entirely.
However, there are still a lot of people streaming Warzone on Twitch and YouTube. Some of these streamers are using hacks to gain an unfair advantage in the game.
Notable Call of Duty content creator JGOD outed one of the hacker/streamers on Twitter. This lead to the streamer being banned on more than one platform. However, the streamer says he was hacking to prove a point.
Hacker streams Warzone cheats live
The streamer known as Cptbaldy on Twitch was caught using cheats while live streaming. JGOD drew attention to the hacks via Twitter where he posted the following tweet:
In the clip, Cptbaldy is using the new Combat Scout perk which temporarily highlights players when they are hit. However, Cptbaldy is seen aiming at the wall when he pulls the trigger. Although he isn’t aiming at his target, the opposing player takes damage and lights up orange as if they were hit.
That’s because Cptbaldy was likely using an aimbot that allows him to hit targets without aiming at them. Shortly after JGOD’s post, Warzone hacker was banned from Warzone and given a suspension from Twitch after he pulled up his menu of hacks while streaming, which you can find below:
Cptbaldy is also known as Jarred_alta98 on Twitter. After being banned, Cptbaldy claimed that he cheated to prove that the only way to get banned is to be reported by a big streamer.
He stated that he had been cheating for 3 days getting 30+ kill each game. He also states that players should be directing their negative comments to Raven Software, the developers of Warzone.
Captbaldy plans to return to Twitch to stream after his suspension is lifted. However, Twitch’s policy states that streamers caught cheating will receive a permanent ban.
There is no doubt that the hacking situation and Raven Software’s plans to combat it going forward is one of the most discussed topics for the Call of Duty battle royale.
