Warzone players absolutely love the Halloween-themed Haunting events, so they are wondering whether there will be a Halloween event in 2022. Here’s everything we know about a possible Warzone Halloween 2022 event.

Call of Duty usually go all-in on their Halloween events, with the Haunting events bringing the Zombie Royale and Ghosts of Verdansk modes, exclusive rewards, terrifying jump scares in Supply Crates, and of course, crossovers.

Classic horror villains Jigsaw, Leatherface, Ghostface, and Donnie Darko’s Frank the Rabbit have hit Warzone over the past two Halloween events, so players are wondering whether there’s a new event in Halloween 2022.

Here’s everything we know about a possible Warzone Halloween 2022 event, and what could change throughout October.

Will there be a Warzone Halloween 2022 event?

Horde of Zombies in Warzone's Rebirth Island

It’s highly unlikely that there will be a Warzone Halloween event in October 2022. Not only does Halloween fall only a few days after Modern Warfare 2’s launch but Raven Software confirmed that Season 5 Reloaded would be Warzone’s “final major update.”

Usually, the Haunting is teased long before Halloween comes around, with 2021’s confirmed in the Cold War Season 6 roadmap in September. Neither Raven nor Sledgehammer have so much as hinted at a Halloween event coming in late October, so its arrival is looking incredibly unlikely.

What playlists could arrive for Warzone Halloween 2022?

Just because there probably won’t be a fully-fledged Halloween event in 2022 doesn’t mean that spooky game modes won’t hit Warzone with a playlist update.

Raven released the Rebirth of the Dead mode with the Season 4 Reloaded update back in July 2022, so there’s a chance this Zombie mode will return during the week of Halloween.

The devs could also bring jumpscares back to the Supply Crates to add a little more terror, but this is all speculation for now.

Modern Warfare 2 will have arrived ahead of Halloween, so it remains to be seen how much Warzone is being supported in the weeks ahead of Warzone 2.0’s launch.
