Warzone lighting glitch breaks Verdansk ’84

A new glitch has surfaced in CoD: Warzone that shows the game’s lighting still has issues, and is making it difficult to play the game in Season 4.

Ever since Season 3 of Call of Duty: Warzone launched, players have been calling for Raven Software to nerf the lighting – especially the sun. In an attempt to inject some color and life into Verdansk, Raven inadvertently sprinkled too much brightness into the battle royale map.

As a result, players have complained about the unmistakable sun glare that can make looking out of windows difficult and identifying enemies impossible. A new glitch has been spotted that further highlights the troublesome nature of the game’s lighting.

In a post titled, “The sun in this game is so powerful that it goes through rocks,” we got to see just how powerful the shining rays are in Warzone.

The image showed the player aiming directly at the ceiling above them, and you can clearly see the sun beaming through a pretty solid surface.

One comment amusingly chimed in with their thoughts of the glitch saying, “How can they not do lighting? It’s been a constant issue. Rooms too dark to see anything and now a sun with the strength of Gandalf leading a Rohirrim charge.”

This glitch seems to compound the lighting problems in Verdansk, and you have to feel that the fix is being prepped to release sooner rather than later.

It may come as part of weekly patch notes, or as part of the Warzone Season 4 Reloaded update due to arrive mid-season.
