Warzone Mobile leaks hint at Verdansk return with a twist
New Call of Duty leaks are hinting at the arrival of an alternative version of the classic Verdansk map in Warzone Mobile.
After months of speculation, Activision officially confirmed that they’re developing Warzone Mobile, and this has caused plenty of speculation among fans about the game’s weapons and maps.
While some players believe that Activision will head in a new direction and design a brand-new map for Warzone Mobile, a few Call of Duty leaks are suggesting that the classic Verdansk map will be making its return in the game.
This leak came from notable Call of Duty data miner ‘TheGhostofHope,’ who claims that Warzone Mobile will feature the classic battle royale map but “not the same Verdansk we played before on PC and console.”
In a tweet on March 14, the leaker stated that the Verdansk in Warzone Mobile will be an alternative version of the classic map, featuring a mix of certain POIs that fans already know along with some new locations.
It makes sense for the developers to redesign Verdansk when introducing it to the mobile port of Warzone as they want to give players a new experience. Ghost claimed that the mashup of old and new POIs “looks pretty cool.”
The leaker also retweeted another post that showcased an overview of the map, which seems to match up with the job listings that Activison previously posted. In the replies, some shared a screenshot of the new Verdansk minimap from the Clan Battle background of CoD Mobile.
However, it’s worth keeping in mind that this is all purely speculation based on leaks, and none of this information has been officially verified by Activision yet. So, be sure to take it with a grain of salt for the time being.
If these leaks end up being true, then fans will be in for a treat as they’ve been calling for Verdansk’s return ever since the arrival of the Caldera map in Warzone Pacific Season 1. Hopefully, we’ll get official confirmation from the devs soon.
