Using optimal weapon attachments is the key to Warzone success. Season 2’s major Warzone update nerfed some popular attachments leaving players scrambling to discover the new top options.

Alongside new content such as Redeploy Balloons and Nebula V ammo, Warzone Season 2 also delivered major weapon balancing changes.

Weapon attachments don’t always receive the same attention as weapon buffs and nerfs when updates are released, which leaves players clueless as to the best attachments for their Warzone loadouts.

Here are the attachments you need to swap from your Warzone Season 2 loadouts immediately.

With ten different weapon attachment categories for Vanguard weapons, choosing the optimal combination is more confusing than it has ever been in Warzone.

Checking out our loadout guides for specific weapons is a great idea but if you’re looking for a general update on which attachments to remove from all of your loadouts here’s a quick breakdown.

The major changes affect the barrel, muzzle, and ammunition categories.

MX Silencer

You’re going to want to swap the Mercury Silencer for the MX Silencer on your long-range weapon loadouts. The Mercury Silencer no longer provides vertical recoil control which severely diminishes its ability to keep your weapon shooting straight.

The MX Silencer muzzle attachment will offer the stability you’re looking for without sacrificing damage range.

Hollow Point

The Season 2 update delt a nerf to both Incendiary and Lengthened ammo types. Seeing as these were extremely popular options, players might be wondering what to turn to next.

It turns out your long-range loadouts can continue to use Lengthened because the added bullet velocity is still worthwhile for a long-range weapon.

However, your Submachine Gun loadouts like the MP40 or Owen Gun should switch Incendiary ammo for Hollow Point ammo. The nerf to Incendiary ammo has made it awful therefore Hollow Point is emerging as the next top choice thanks to the added limb damage it provides.

Long barrels

This change is the trickiest to detail as the barrel names change from weapon to weapon. However, the important thing to note is after buffs to long barrels, you’ll want to ensure that they are equipped on your long-range loadouts.

The Season 2 patch notes reveal that certain long barrels received a drastic increase to bullet velocity but your in-game Warzone menu will not show this new information. This is likely a bug that Raven will look to fix in an upcoming update.

For example, the STG44‘s VDD 760mm 05B is one of these buffed barrels that may seem worse when you’re looking through its pros and cons in the create a class menu. Always make sure you’re using the longest barrel possible for long-range weapons in Warzone Season 2.

Warzone expert claims overlooked LMG’s TTK outshines best weapons in Season 4 Reloaded

According to a Warzone expert an underrated LGM can surpass the KG M40 as the best long-range weapon in Season 4 Reloaded.

It’s been some time since an LMG has dominated the long-range Warzone meta, but an expert believes that this could be the case in Season 4 Reloaded.

Thanks to balanced buffs and nerfs in the Season 4 Reloaded update, Warzone’s long-range meta is quite varied at the moment. Despite the diversity, the KG M40 is marginally considered the best weapon in Warzone.

Popular weapons tend to hog the spotlight in Warzone and the KG M40 is currently the most popular weapon in Warzone. However, a Warzone expert believes that an LMG with an incredible TTK can outshine every long-range option in Season 4 Reloaded, including the KG M40.

The UGM-8 made its way to Warzone at the start of Season 4 and had an immediate impact thanks to a powerful burst loadout. Now, Warzone expert WhosImmortal believes that a fully automatic loadout for the UGM-8 has what it takes to rise to the top of the long-range meta.

Players have been calling for LMG buffs so the class can compete with overpowered Assault Rifles. Thanks to an incredible TTK over range, the UGM-8 can outshine the NZ-41, Vargo 52, and KG M40. As WhosImmortal puts it: “we’re outgunning everything with this thing.”

WhosImmortal backs up his claim with stats and it’s clear to see just how much the UGM-8 dominates when it comes to TTK. Of course, the KG M40 is the more accurate of the two, but if you’re confident in your aim, then utilizing the LMG’s absurd TTK is your best bet.

WhosImmortal’s Warzone UGM-8 loadout

  • Muzzle: MX Silencer
  • Barrel: Bernard XL214 736mm
  • Optic: SVT-40 PU Scope 3-6x
  • Stock: Mercier WT Ancre
  • Underbarrel: M1930 Strife Angled
  • Magazine: 6.5mm Sakura 125 Round Box
  • Ammo Type: Lengthened
  • Rear Grip: Hatched Grip
  • Perk: Tight Grip
  • Perk 2: Fully Loaded

For starters, the Bernard XL214 736mm is one of the weapon’s fully automatic barrels and it will help with recoil control while also increasing bullet velocity.

The most important attachment is without a doubt the 6.5mm Sakura 125 Round Box as it is vital in maximizing the UGM-8’s TTK. If you want to use the LMG as a medium-range aggressive weapon then you can opt for a smaller magazine size.

Most of the remaining attachments like Tight Grip, Hatched Grip, M1930 Strife Angled, and Mercier WT Ancre contribute to the weapon’s aiming stability and recoil control. While the LMG boasts a fantastic TTK, making your shots count and taming the weapon is the key to this loadout’s success.

Best MP40 loadout for Warzone Pacific Season 4 Reloaded

Here are the attachments, Perks, and Equipment to make the best MP40 loadout for Warzone Pacific Season 4 Reloaded.

The MP40 SMG is a great choice for close-range combat, and here are the right attachments, Perks, and Equipment that you can use for the best MP40 loadout in Warzone Pacific Season 4 Reloaded.

Warzone Pacific features a variety of powerful SMGs that you can use in close-range battles, and the MP40 remains a viable pick in Warzone because of its minimal recoil and decent damage.

Even after the meta changes following the arrival of the Season 4 Reloaded weapon buffs and nerfs, you can still use the MP40 to cause some serious pain. We’ll go over the ideal attachments, Perks, and Equipment you need to do that.

Here’s the best MP40 loadout for Warzone Pacific Season 4 Reloaded.

Best Warzone MP40 loadout attachments

  • Muzzle: Recoil Booster
  • Barrel: VDD 189mm Short
  • Optic: Slate Reflector
  • Stock: Krausnick 33M Folding
  • Underbarrel: m1941 Hand Stop
  • Magazine: 7.62 Gorenko 45 Round Mags
  • Ammunition: Lengthened
  • Rear Grip: Stippled Grip
  • Perk: Steady
  • Perk 2: Quick

This Warzone MP40 loadout will start by equipping the Recoil Booster muzzle and VDD 189mm Short barrel to boost the weapon’s damage range while lowering its TTK.

The Krausnick 33M Foldingm1941 Hand Stop, and Stippled Grip will help bring the weapon’s recoil under control. You can then use the Slate Reflector optic to eliminate enemies from a distance.

We went with the 7.62 Gorenko 45 Round Mags as our magazine choice to ensure that the weapon has plenty of ammo, and the Lengthened ammo type will provide a boost to bullet velocity.

For our perks, we went with Steady to boost movement speed while aiming down sights, and Quick to improve movement speed so that we can get around the map quickly.

Best Warzone MP40 Perks and Equipment

  • Perk 1: E.O.D
  • Perk 2: Overkill
  • Perk 3: Amped
  • Lethal Equipment: Semtex
  • Tactical Equipment: Stim

E.O.D will protect you from explosive damage from Grenades, and Overkill will allow you to pair the MP40 with an Assault Rifle like the Cooper Carbine. For our final Perk, we went with Amped to quickly swap between the two weapons.

Coming to our choice of equipment the Semtex will allow you to deal damage to multiple foes and a Stim will give you a quick health boost.

How to unlock the MP40 in Warzone Pacific

If you want to get your hands on the MP40 in Warzone and Vanguard, then you’ll need to reach Rank 16. You can do this after hopping into a few matches and playing well until you level up.

Once you reach Rank 16, this weapon will automatically be added to your inventory, so you don’t need to worry about completing some long and difficult unlock challenge first.

Best Warzone Pacific alternatives to MP40

If you’re looking for a great alternative to the Warzone MP40 then the Macro 5 is a great SMG choice that’s ideal for close-range combat. The H4 Blixen is another great option that boasts an impressive K/D ratio.

Warzone players beg devs to make Champion of Caldera LTM permanent

Warzone’s Champion of Caldera has been a massive hit amongst players and they’re desperate to see the LTM become a permanent mode.

Published

on

The Champion of Caldera LTM is one of Warzone’s most popular playlist additions and players are begging the devs to make it a permanent mode in Season 4 Reloaded.

The Warzone playlist changes every week with new modes replacing old ones in a constant cycle. This rotation helps keep the game feeling fresh as players are never stuck with the same modes for too long.

Warzone LTMs are usually a big success amongst players as they offer an escape from the gameplay formula they’re used to. Previously, Operation Monarch, Caldera Clash, and Golden Plunder have all been LTMs that players seemed to enjoy.

However, the nature of a limited time mode is self-explanatory, in that it is meant to only be around for a short amount of time. In this short period, players have grown to love the Champion of Caldera mode, so much so that they’re now demanding that the devs make it permanent.

Champion of Caldera has been around since Season 3 Reloaded and the mode allows you to spawn in with your choice of loadout. With no need to loot for top-tier weapons, your goal is to survive amidst a constantly-closing circle that forces a ton of engagements.

Reddit user chopbustre produces an explanation in favor of the mode staying, in which they claim that the constant action has actually made them a better Warzone player: “My game sense and skill has improved dramatically over the last week. I am a 1 KD player who has upped to 1.6 since I started playing this mode.”

It seems there are benefits to playing Champion of Caldera beyond the fact that it is a fun Warzone experience. With over 200 upvotes at the time of writing, it’s no surprise that several players shared the OP’s sentiment:

“Fully agree. The constant circling and no camping truly is the best. In regular caldera people get loadout in sit in the same place all game. This definitely minimizes that and makes this mode more enjoyable.”

It’s rare to see such a large group of players all in agreement over the fact that the “mode needs to stay.” In fact, most players unanimously agreed when it came to the mode’s one issue: “they need to take out the ability to shoot/kill people in the air off the plane drop.”

Since players drop in fully equipped with their top loadouts, the ability to shoot players out of the air can ruin the fun from the get-go. Nonetheless, Champion of Caldera has been a resounding success for the Warzone community and it’s clear to see why they want it to stay.
