Warzone hackers are wearing custom Operator skins again
Verdansk is still being populated by hackers in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4, with another recent example showing someone blatantly using their own custom skins in-game.
Despite Activision’s best attempts to curtail the threat of hackers by banning accounts, hackers remain a constant presence in Warzone lobbies. Whether they are exploiting a God glitch or giving themselves unlimited UAV, hackers are manipulating games of Warzone, souring the experience for others in the process.
But now some of them are not only being caught on Twitch openly hacking, but they are making themself deliberately visible by using their own hacked skins.
We reported not too long ago that hackers were making their own Operator skins, and now a few weeks later the trend doesn’t seem to be showing any signs of stopping.
The player to fall foul of another Warzone hacker is Reddit user Mhartzzzy who, in their own words, said: “As soon as I saw the skin I knew I was doomed. First game from a weeks break of Warzone. Think I’ll take a month or 2 away this time lmao.”
Their resignation was because of a video they posted showing themself running around the walkway above the Gulag.
At first, everything looked normal. Then, a few seconds into the video, you realize that one of the other players was not dressed normally and looked noticeably different. They were wearing a hacked Operator skin that resembled a red and white checkered picnic cloth.
Our player’s Gulag match began and they were promptly dispatched by the cheating Gulag opponent. At the end of the clip, you saw the player report the hacker for cheating.
Again, we’ve seen examples of this already, and without a proper anti-cheat system in place, it’s likely we’ll see more of these hacked skins going forward in Warzone.
