Rebirth Island changes Warzone Season 2

The Call of Duty team announced that major changes would be coming to Rebirth Island during Warzone Season 2 but fans of the close-quarter map aren’t too pleased.

Rebirth Island has been a staple of Warzone since releasing as part of Black Ops Cold War’s Season 1 update. Fans of the map rejoiced after it was announced that the island would remain in play following Vanguard’s Warzone integration but recent news has them fearing for the map’s future.

Alongside the addition of Rebirth Iron Trials, the map is expected to undergo major changes throughout Warzone Season 2. Players are now questioning the decision amidst fears that Raven’s changes could potentially ruin the map.

Rebirth Island Season 2 Warzone

The Warzone community is adopting the saying “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” as they believe the current iteration of Rebirth Island is perfect.

Warzone players don’t want to see the Rebirth Island formula altered with its fast-paced gameplay and intense gunfights at the forefront. Nonetheless, a recent Call of Duty blog post warned players to “Expect substantial changes to the prison island during the midseason update.”

This simple phrase has sparked fear in the minds of Warzone players as they are accustomed to the disastrous effects of major map changes. A post on the Warzone subreddit asking “what do you hope to see changed on the map?” was met with a resounding response of “nothing”.

The top-rated comment with over 580 upvotes reads: “Idk I like it the way it is, hope they don’t f**k this up.” Warzone players clearly don’t want to see one of the most beloved aspects of the game go up in flames.

The one minor suggestion that players agreed upon had nothing to do with the map layout but rather the ability to enjoy a rotation of Rebirth Island at night, at dusk, and during the day, “Ooh hell yea dusk day night sounds amazing. Maybe just day and night too.”

The last thing players want to see is Rebirth Island’s map identity and overall feel altered when it is one of the most enjoyable aspects of Warzone at the moment.
