Warzone players beg Raven to reverse “stupidest” Loadout change ever
Warzone Pacific players are frustrated by the Loadout selection changes in the game and are calling for Raven Software to reverse them in a future update.
Before Warzone Pacific Season 4 arrived, the Loadout Drop selection would hover over your previously selected choice and this would allow you to select your ideal Loadout in the pre-game lobby right away.
However, Raven Software felt that too many players were accidentally selecting the wrong loadouts so they made a major change to Loadout picking in the Season 4 update. Now, players are begging the devs to reverse this change.
In Warzone Pacific Season 4, when you open the Loadout Drop selection, the cursor always starts at the top of the Loadout Drop selection list, so you might end up picking your first Loadout rather than your preferred one.
Reddit user ‘Putridzzz’ expressed their frustration with this in the Warzone Pacific subreddit, claiming that it’s making them pick the wrong Loadouts and describing the change as extremely “stupid.”
The Redditor stated: “It’s ridiculous that even setting a Loadout to your “Favorite Loadout” still makes you pick your first Loadout. I have to scroll through all the Loadouts to pick the right one.”
Many of the commenters agreed that this change is irritating as it causes players to accidentally pick the wrong Loadout or spend time scrolling through the list looking for their favorite one in every game.
One user claimed that the biggest problem is that you’re unable to select your preferred weapon loadout quickly because you need to go down to the middle of the list. They then added that this change makes picking your guns in the pre-game lobby feel pointless.
A few users suggested that the developers make a change that allows them to rearrange their Loadouts without having to build them from scratch. This would make it easier to quickly pick your favorite loadouts in the game.
According to one commenter, the addition of a “Switch spots” option instead of “copy and replace” would be beneficial since it would let you move your desired Loadout to the top instead of having to remake one.
After players first slammed this change, Raven Software’s Senior Creative Director Ted Timmins responded to these complaints on Twitter, reassuring the community that they would get used to it.
Despite this, discontent continues over this change, and it remains to be seen whether or not the developers will implement another major tweak that will allow players to immediately select their favorite weapon Loadouts.
