The Call of Duty: Warzone community on PlayStation and Xbox have snapped as they address the “terrible” condition of the battle royale on consoles when compared to PC.

It’s no secret that the console version of Warzone is much less smooth than the experience on PC. Sometimes, it’s not just about using the best guns, and when cross-play is enabled, console players are definitely at a disadvantage.

This is even true for those on the next-gen consoles as well, as the devs are yet to drop an optimized version of Warzone for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

This has ultimately led Warzone players to complain about the state of the game on consoles ahead of Season 3’s release.

Reddit user patriotraitor posted their passionate opinion on the Warzone experience on consoles, stating that they “give up.”

The post refers to a variety of reasons as to why they feel the console experience is worse than on PC, but the overall conclusion they have come to is that Warzone “isn’t fully optimized for console.”

One of the main issues mentioned includes locked FOV, which has been a complaint of Warzone players on console for some time now, and it doesn’t seem like there will be any changes in that department.

Another big point that they make is about the input delay on consoles, claiming it makes the game “slow and sluggish.” These issues add up and ultimately make Warzone look very bad on console when compared to PC.

Having crossplay also means that console players are pitted against PC players, who have a “competitive edge” due to the optimization on PC versus consoles.

They aren’t the only one who feels this way either, as many players in the comments are also expressing the same opinion, with one comment stating: “I recently started on PC, and…holy s***, the difference is staggering. Even just having an FOV slider is a game changer.”

As the post states, perhaps console players will have a better experience with Warzone 2, which is supposedly dropping next year. For now, it seems console players will have to deal with the same issues in Warzone Pacific Season 3.
