Verdansk has become more dangerous thanks to deadly new Radiation Zones. But instead of them being fun, kooky additions, they’ve led to Call of Duty: Warzone being hit by a new form of Stim Glitch.
It’s at the point in Warzone where the mere thought of the dreaded “Stim Glitch” is enough to make most players shudder and become frustrated. The bug that practically makes players invincible is ironically plaguing the new Zombies twist on Warzone.
Instead of counting down the potential final days of Verdansk, players will now be eager for Season 3 to commence to prevent any further Stim Glitch controversy.
First off, it has to be said that this incarnation of the Stim Glitch isn’t as damaging and as game-breaking as it was before.
Whereas the old version of the Stim Glitch essentially allowed layers to set up camp anywhere in the map and survive until they were the last player remaining, the new twist isn’t quite as effective.
They learned that if you have a Stim Shot equipped, then it can actually restock itself quicker than the time it takes for the Radiation Zone to kill you.
So at the moment, it’s entirely possible that players are utilizing this knowledge and pretty much have these areas to themselves to grab all the loot and goodies there.
However, the Stim simply won’t have the same effects when trying to use it if the proper gas crosses over into the new Radiation Zones. Meaning that this isn’t a way that will guarantee victories or anything like that.
It’s likely that this will be a one-week special gameplay difference that won’t carry over into Season 3, so we don’t expect this Stim Glitch variant to be changed. Given that Verdansk is expected to be blown up and bring other changes, this will just be a short detour.

New CoD: Warzone tease hints at Rambo coming soon
Call of Duty have teased that 1980s movie icon Rambo will be joining Warzone’s Operator roster in Season 3.
Call of Duty’s Twitter account to have hinted that another movie icon will be joining Warzone, with Rambo being teased.
Warzone has now undergone its full 1980s overhaul, with Verdansk ’84 becoming the new Warzone map. Cold War-era weapons litter the ground, and several Operators have the retro 80s aesthetic. However, the overhaul could be going further, with a 1980s movie icon teased to be joining the game.
When you think of a classic 80s action blockbuster, Rambo is likely one of the first movies to come to mind. The action series follows Vietnam vet John Rambo as he takes down hundreds of foes, and now it’s likely he’ll be deploying to Verdansk in the coming weeks.
Call of Duty’s official Twitter account shared a Warzone Report of a mysterious player, SURVIVORJOHN#1009062, on May 5. The first hint is quite clear, with ‘John’ being Rambo’s first name. However, a deeper dive into the stats have made this connection all the more likely.
The player’s stats line up with Rambo’s various outings in the movies, with five games played matching the five films, seven hours played matching the films’ total runtime, and 552 kills equalling his reported on-screen kills.
Call of Duty teased this further by replying to a tweet from April 28 asking, “now that Warzone is set in the 80s, how about adding in some 80’s action heroes in the game like Rambo, Terminator, Chuck Norris, and The A-Team.” CoD quote-tweeted the question with a thinking face emoji.
These teasers make it extremely likely that John Rambo will be arriving in Warzone as either an Operator or as an Operator skin. There could also be accompanying 80s-themed weapon Blueprints, such as his iconic M60 and Survival Knife.
When will Rambo be in Warzone?
Warzone last received movie icons during the Haunting of Verdansk event, with Saw’s Jigsaw and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre’s Leatherface joining the game for the event. The official roadmap shows that Warzone Season 3 Reloaded, the midseason update, will feature a Midseason Event.
Activision hasn’t revealed any details of this event, other than there will be “new Limited Time Modes, rewards, and more.” There’s no guarantee this event will be similar to the Haunting of Verdansk, but it’s possible for the Rambo skin to arrive with this Midseason Event.
Stay tuned to Charlie INTEL for all exciting upcoming Operators, including the Soap McTavish bundle which is still yet to release.

Warzone players ask devs to remove “Big Berthas” from Solo matches
Big Bertha trucks have taken over the Warzone Solos meta in Season 3, and fans are asking the devs to remove them from the playlist.
Warzone’s Big Bertha trucks are notoriously difficult to destroy, and have become more prominent through Season 3, leading to fans asking the devs to remove them from Solo playlists.
There are various different in-game vehicles in Warzone, and the ‘Big Bertha’ armored trucks have been criticized for being too difficult to blow up. Now, the Season 3 update has made them even more prominent.
While several updates have made them much easier to destroy, a few players are frustrated that Berthas have taken over the Solo meta. This has led to fans asking Raven Software to remove them from the playlists altogether.
Reddit user stonks_xd posted a clip in the Warzone subreddit, and titled it “The current state of Warzone Solos.” This showcased five Berthas grouped together so that they could secure a win by waiting for the circle to shrink.
These trucks can withstand high amounts of damage, which means that players on the ground will have a difficult time trying to take them out. “If you have a Bertha, drive in circles and hope the zone pulls to you,” wrote one user.
As a result, many players are asking Raven Software to pull the controversial vehicles from Solos playlists.
This is an understandable stance, since it’s extremely frustrating to play against vehicle users that can run you over in an instant, and are difficult to bring down. Even pro players like Dr Disrespect want them removed.
While the devs haven’t addressed this issue yet, a few Warzone players found an easy trick to take them down. Riding around in a truck is still one of the most powerful strategies players can utilize, especially in the final circles.
It’s unclear whether or not the devs will take this criticism to heart, and remove the Big Bertha trucks from the Solos playlists. We’ll keep checking for any more developments regarding this, and will be sure to update you.

Best HDR loadout for CoD: Warzone Season 3
The Sniper Rifle of choice for many. Here’s the best Warzone Season 3 loadout for it with perks and attachments.
The HDR Sniper Rifle is a hugely underrated weapon and is often overlooked in CoD: Warzone in favor of Assault Rifles, SMGs, and the Kar98k. Here’s our top loadout packed with attachments and perks to best show off its destructive power in Season 3.
Whether you’re trying to claim victory in Verdansk ’84 or on Rebirth Island, there is always the method of keeping your enemies at a distance. If you have enough leg room between you, an HDR-wielding marksman, against an exposed Krig 6-wielding enemy, then you can permanently puncture them with one Sniper bullet.
Even if you’re not fully content with the HDR in its base form, there’s a myriad of different attachments and perks to make the best loadout.
Best Warzone HDR attachments in Season 3
- Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
- Barrel: 26.9″ HDR Pro
- Laser: Tac Laser
- Optic: Variable Scope Zoom
- Magazine: 9 Round Mags
Our first selection is the Monolithic Suppressor muzzle as, quite simply, we don’t want to be found in Warzone. Whether you’re doing Duos, Trios, or Squads, no one wants to be compromised. Next up is a barrel, and the 26.9″ HDR Pro barrel will increase the weapon’s damage and range. Now, even though the HDR is beast over a longer distance, this will increase your chances of getting a one-shot without a headshot.
We’ve slapped a laser on the HDR, in particular a Tac Laser. A big reason for this is that some of these Attachments make the ADS suffer quite a bit, and this will help to ease the reductions. For optic, the Variable Zoom Scope is a no-brainer as it can account for different distances.
Our final selection is the 9 Round Mags, adding an extra four rounds of ammunition to fire before requiring a reload. This will add some weight while sprinting, so we recommend swapping to a secondary while traveling around Verdansk ’84.
Best Perks for Warzone HDR Sniper Rifle
- Perk 1: E.O.D
- Perk 2: Overkill
- Perk 3: Amped
Looking to avoid all the explosive damage from the barrage of Claymores, Semtex, and C4? Look no further than E.O.D. This perk will ensure you’re ready for any resistance.
In a perfect world, you are Bradley Cooper from American Sniper and you can pick off everyone from every position without being confronted. However, this is Warzone. So Overkill will afford you the luxury of an Assault Rifle or SMG for desperate situations.
If disaster strikes and you have to engage in a Close-Quarters Combat situation with an opponent, then you’re going to want to switch to that aforementioned other weapon. The Amped perk will help you do that in an instant.
How to unlock the HDR in Warzone Season 3
If you want to get your hands on the HDR then simply play until you reach Level 11. At this point, the weapon will become unlocked, and you’ll be able to use it to cause some pain in Verdansk.
With Black Ops Cold War being integrated into Warzone, the gun will be available for you to use in both of these titles.
Best HDR Season 3 alternatives
If you’re looking for an HDR alternative that has an insanely high bullet velocity, as well as fast ADS, then the LW3 Tundra is the ideal choice. You can also try out the Kar98k for its versatility in terms of long-range sniping and close-range quick-scoping.
If you’re looking to refresh your loadouts for Warzone Season 3, you can check out our guides on some of the weapons dominating the meta so far.
