Warzone Season 5 has a huge assortment of weapons for you to try out, but many players feel that there isn’t a lot of variety in terms of gunplay and are asking the devs to change that.

When you hop into a game of Warzone, you’ll have a wide variety of different guns to choose from. There are many great weapons in Season 5, including Assault Rifles and Snipers Rifles among others.

However, a few players feel that very few weapon types are actually viable in the game, as some classes are more powerful than others. Now, they’re calling for the devs to add more gunplay variety.

Reddit user GioRoggia highlighted this issue in the Warzone subreddit. The player mentioned that the only weapons that are viable at mid to long-range are full auto Assault Rifles, LMGs, and Light Snipers.

“I feel that despite the large number of guns that we have, very few types of guns are viable,” The Redditor explained. “Burst, semi-auto, heavy Snipers and heavy machine guns have no role at all.”

Introducing a damage dropoff to the more popular weapon classes might incentivize players to try out other guns. The  Season 5 Reloaded update also changed up the meta, with guns like the Krig 6 getting balance updates.

Many of the commenters agreed with this sentiment, and some became worried about this problem spreading to Vanguard. “No one is going to mention the gun bloat that’s already ridiculous, and with vanguard will get even worse,” wrote one user.

Other comments gave suggestions to the devs regarding how they should handle each weapon class’s damage dropoff. The devs are currently experimenting with the Sniper Rifle damage dropoff in Iron Trials ’84.
