Warzone’s April 19 update added a major change that causes loadout drops to appear early in a match, and this has not sat well with players.

You’ll face intense competition after hopping into a game of Warzone, and the best way to improve your chances of survival is to seek out loadout drops that fall into the map at different locations.

Warzone Pacific’s April 19 update patch brought a major change that allows you to access free loadout drops much earlier in the match than before, and this has not sat well with many players.

Reddit user ‘bwash407’ highlighted these changes in the Warzone subreddit, claiming that they “ruin the early game” by allowing enemies to quickly access loadout drops during the match.

The Redditor claimed: “We land, kill teams on the ground. Right as the teams return from gulag, loadout drops and they instantly land on it, get loadout, then push us. Then they fricken camp loadout forever.”

Many of the commenters agreed with this sentiment, claiming that it makes the game less fun. One user stated: “It’s too quick and promotes people to just camp loadout for kills. There’s no real need to loot/do contract if you get loadout in like 30 seconds.”

Some commenters called for the developers to make loadout drops appear at a later point in a match. One player wrote: “I wish it dropped a couple of minutes later instead of within 2 minutes of the game starting. I think that would balance it out better.”

At the time of writing, it remains to be seen whether or not Raven Software will respond to these complaints by implementing more changes to the loadout drops. We might see them make additional adjustments in a new patch during Season 3.
