Warzone players want one major fix from Verdansk to ensure Pacific Caldera is amazing

Warzone players are excited for Pacific Caldera, but one major fix to an issue that haunted Verdansk could make the game even better.

Warzone’s Pacific Caldera map release is just days away, but players are begging Raven to fix an issue with the game’s parachutes that could make dropping in a nightmare.

After months of speculation and hype, we are just days away from saying farewell to Verdansk. The launch of Vanguard & Warzone Season 1 will introduce the new Pacific Caldera map, with players able to explore and battle on the island from December 8.

While players are excited about the major update, fans are extremely concerned about one issue that has plagued Warzone since launch which still hasn’t been fixed: Parachute deployment.

Warzone player dropping into Verdansk

In a post on the official Warzone subreddit, players banded together to complain about the game’s parachute system. When jumping off high areas like buildings or cliffs, the game usually lets players pull their chute to avoid dying from fall damage.

Unfortunately, this isn’t always the case, as many Warzone competitors have jumped off ledges expecting to be fine, only to plummet to their demise. With Pacific Caldera appearing to have a heap of high spots like cliffs, mountains, and buildings, this could prove to be a serious issue.

To hammer home the point, Reddit user ‘TTV_xxero_foxx’ included a clip of them jumping off a rock area, only to slam into the stone and eliminate themselves. “For the love of God, fix parachute deployment issues with Caldera,” they wrote. “That map looks like it has a lot of verticality in the middle and I’m sick of dying like this.”

Other Warzone players agreed with this sentiment, with one user admitting they feared Caldera would be even worse than Verdansk because of the “varying landscape,” while another labeled it “super annoying” and said it happens to them when they jumped off buildings.

Most players agree that the issue seems to come from players being too close to buildings when they jump off, which appears to stop parachutes opening.

Whether Raven Software has addressed this issue remains to be seen, but we’ll find out on December 8 when the map releases for everyone. Warzone’s devs have already responded to concerns about the major changes to loadout drops in Pacific Caldera.

World Series of Warzone slammed after cheating & VPN accusations

The World Series of Warzone tournament is under scrutiny after being hit with allegations of cheating in its qualifiers.

Qualifiers of the $600k World Series of Warzone event have been hit by allegations of cheating and using VPNs after players inspected the early results.

The World Series of Warzone tournament returned in 2022, bringing an impressive prize pool of $600,000 that players were given the chance to win after participating in the open qualifiers on August 12.

However, shortly after the qualifiers came to an end, Warzone Pacific players closely examined the early results and threw accusations of cheating at their competitors in the tournament.

Popular content creator ‘Fifakill’ is considered one of the best Warzone players, and he gave his perspective on what happened during the World Series of Warzone open in-game qualifiers.

He tweeted that he was saddened to learn about “people VPNing, people stream sniping other qualifier teams, and worst of all, people getting into their friend’s games and dying to their friend repeatedly.”

The Call of Duty: Warzone pro then added that cheating in tournaments sends a terrible message to players that try their hardest to qualify, and could lead to open in-game qualifiers potentially being removed altogether.

The official rules on the tournament’s Gamebattles page explains that one kill is worth a single point for your whole team, and those points would then multiply based on placement. So, the first place team would get double points while second place would have a 1.5x multiplier.

Squads that managed to land in the Top 40 would be able to proceed to the next round. So, the number of kills scored by players is an important part of this tournament and cheating can ruin it for all the participants.

Fifakill wasn’t the only one who was frustrated to learn about the alleged cheating in the tournament, as many in the wider Warzone community have also responded negatively to this news.

Reddit user ‘aur0n’ shared the result of the qualifiers in the Warzone Pacific subreddit, and described the open in-game qualifiers as “really chalked.” The thread was filled with players who were equally upset about this.

Many of the commenters expressed their disdain for the cheating in the qualifiers, and some began to speculate about how exactly participants in the tournament were able to get this done.

One user suggested that the second place team was working together with the first place team to feed the one player massive kills and get the win. They figured that this explains how the former had two players with 34 deaths each.

This could have serious consequences for the teams that are currently leading in the tournament and it remains to be seen how the officials will respond to this. We’ll keep you posted about any new developments regarding this.

JGOD reveals his pick for Warzone Season 4 Reloaded’s best meta loadouts

Top Warzone YouTuber JGOD has revealed the best meta Assault Rifles and SMGs you can use in Season 4 Reloaded.

Warzone YouTuber JGOD

With Warzone’s devs Raven Software dropping major weapon balance changes during Season 4 Reloaded, top YouTuber JGOD has broken down the best weapon loadouts ahead of Season 5.

While Warzone‘s meta is the most balanced it’s been for a long time, Vanguard weapons still come out on top. Although Modern Warfare and Cold War guns are still viable in Season 4 Reloaded, it’s Vanguard weapons that make up Warzone expert JGOD’s best meta loadouts.

JGOD explained that it’s a toss-up between the STG44 and KG M40 for Assault Rifles, while the SMG meta is split between the Armaguerra 43 and Marco 5. He said that the weapons are “interchangeable” depending on your skill level and playstyle, and there isn’t a be-all-end-all.

The STG has “as good a TTK, better mobility, faster reload than the KG M40 which is an absolute laser which requires zero skill and anyone can use,” explained JGOD. “So you kind of gotta pick where you’re at and what consistency level you’re going to be playing at.”

For the SMGs, it’s also dependent on skill. The Armaguerra can offer a much faster TTK but isn’t as easy to use, while the Marco 5 has much better mobility and an easy-to-control recoil pattern.

JGOD also gave some alternative attachment combos for SMGs depending on whether you’re playing modes like Titanium Trials, so be sure to check out the full video below.

Best Assault Rifles in Warzone: Every Season 4 Reloaded AR ranked

Assault Rifles are great all-rounders in Warzone Pacific Season 4 Reloaded, so here are Warzone’s ARs ranked and the best ones to use.

Best assault rifles in warzone pacific

Assault Rifles continue to dominate Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4 Reloaded, so we’ve placed every Assault Rifle into a ranked list and counted down the top ARs you can run in Caldera, Rebirth Island, and Fortune’s Keep.

Assault Rifles are a staple in Call of Duty. Capable of dealing severe damage at almost any range, they’re the go-to for most players. They’re especially prominent in Warzone for their versatility, and through the Gunsmith system, you can build them any way you like.

With every season and update, Warzone’s meta shifts. Raven Software nerfed the meta-dominating NZ-41 in the Season 4 Reloaded update, and a new weapon has claimed the top spot as a result.

Here’s a ranked list of every AR as well as a summary of the best Assault Rifles in Warzone Pacific Season 4 Reloaded.

Best Warzone Assault Rifles ranked list

Warzone Operator STG 44

This is our comprehensive list of every AR in Call of Duty: Warzone, and we’ve ranked them in ascending order to let you know which ones are worth using.

While there used to be an even distribution of Vanguard, Modern Warfare, and Cold War guns, you’ll find that Vanguard weapons make up the majority of the meta picks. However, some solid MW and Cold War guns make up the top 10 if you want to use them instead.

Here is every Warzone Assault Rifle in Pacific Season 4 Reloaded, ranked:

  1. KG M40
  2. Volk
  3. Cooper Carbine
  4. Vargo 52
  5. NZ-41

Best Warzone Assault Rifles

5. NZ-41

NZ-41 Assault Rifle in Warzone

It took several nerfs in a row to finally knock Vanguard’s NZ-41 Assault Rifle down the ranks. It absolutely dominated Warzone for a prolonged period, but following the Season 4 Reloaded update, it’s finally in a balanced state.

It remains a powerful weapon that most players shouldn’t have too much trouble controlling at long range. It’s an excellent weapon for Caldera’s wide-open areas where you can punish players from a distance.

4. Vargo 52

Vargo 52 in Warzone

Cold War’s Vargo 52 claims the fourth spot and it’s been a pillar of consistency since joining Warzone Pacific. The weapon has never been considered overpowered, but it has an excellent TTK that makes it a devastating Sniper support Assault Rifle.

As you may have guessed, Vanguard ARs have the Vargo 52 beat when it comes to long-range gunfights thanks to their magnified optics. However, very few Assault Rifles can compete with the Vargo when it comes to a medium-range gunfight.

3. Cooper Carbine

Best Warzone Pacific cooper carbine loadout

The Cooper Carbine has always been a top choice thanks to its high fire rate and low recoil, and it’s remained a great selection for medium-range fights.

The Cooper’s bullet velocity isn’t the greatest, so you won’t be beaming players across Caldera, but take it into Fortune’s Keep or Rebirth Island and you’ll have a fantastic Assault Rifle in your hands. Thanks to a broken attachment discovered in Season 4 Reloaded, the Cooper Carbine is now considered one of the best ARs around.

2. Volk

Volk in Warzone

This may come as a shock to some, but Vanguard’s Volk Assault Rifle is one of the best weapons in Warzone. Its relatively low pick rate of 0.62 reveals that the majority of players continue to ignore the weapon.

However, if you’re looking for a medium-range Assault Rifle for Rebirth Island or Fortune’s Keep, there are no better options than the Volk.

This is the third Assault Rifle on the list that isn’t meant to be used for incredibly long-range gunfights. Instead, an LMG like the UGM-8, or the following weapon on our list is probably your best bet for a long-range weapon in Season 4 Reloaded.

1. KG M40 – Best Assault Rifle in Warzone

KG M40 assault rifle in Warzone

Warzone players love a low-recoil Assault Rifle and the KG M40 has barely any to deal with. While it doesn’t have the most incredible stats, the KG M40 is so easy to use that you’ll have no trouble landing shots.

The KG M40 has high bullet velocity and it deals a ton of headshot damage, but it’s held back by its low TTK when hitting body shots. As expected, with the NZ-41 receiving a significant nerf, this Assault Rifle claimed the top spot and it’s currently the most popular weapon in Warzone.

Bring any of these ARs into Caldera in Warzone Pacific Season 4 Reloaded and you’ll find yourself using some of the best Warzone Assault Rifles in Call of Duty’s battle royale.
