Warzone poll proves 76% of players think Modern Warfare guns were best
Warzone players seem to miss the Modern Warfare era of Infinity Ward’s battle royale, as players vote for which CoD has the best weapon setups overall in Warzone.
Call of Duty: Warzone has gone through a lot since it was first released, with the game integrating two new CoD titles over the last couple of years.
Since the latest integration of Vanguard, the game has definitely suffered from loads of bugs and issues. The devs recently admitted to this issue, as well as announcing Warzone 2, which should alleviate the problem and start fresh.
As players reflect on Warzone’s lifespan, it seems Modern Warfare’s era of Warzone remains the favorite despite all the developments.
Sometimes you just can’t beat the original, and it seems that is also the case for Warzone as players voted for their favorite overall weapons and equipment from each of the integrated titles.
Warzone has three CoD titles integrated into the game:
- Modern Warfare (2019)
- Black Ops Cold War
- Vanguard
Each of these games has its weapons and equipment for players to use in Warzone Pacific Season 2. Not only does this lead to a crazy number of weapons and equipment to choose from, but it also begs the question of what CoD title has the best overall setups.
Reddit user GoldenUnicorn00 proposed this question to the Warzone subreddit, which uncovered a pretty dominant answer.
As you can see from the poll, at the time of writing this piece Modern Warfare has approximately 76% of the votes. This is quite a dominant majority over both Cold War and Vanguard, but it may not come as much of a surprise.
Being the original CoD that brought Warzone to life, using the same engine and weapons, Warzone was made for Modern Warfare. Some of the comments even read: “Warzone during MW era was the most fun, using the weapons felt so good.”
While this is unfortunate for Cold War and Vanguard, it’s great for those at Infinity Ward who are currently working on Warzone 2, which hopefully lives up to the hype the MW era of Warzone.
