The fifth and final season of Warzone will introduce a variety of content, one of which is a brand-new Field Upgrade called Rage Serum.

Activision officially announced the details concerning the final season of Warzone and Vanguard titled Last Stand. The Warzone Season 5 update is looking to pass the torch to Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 with a bang.

As well as dramatic map changes in which Peak has erupted, the devs have also decided to introduce some new weapons, Operators, and a Field Upgrade to spice things up.

This new Field Upgrade is called Rage Serum, and it has the potential to become a fan favorite, and possibly impact the meta.

According to the Season 5 Call of Duty blog, Warzone’s Rage Serum Field Upgrade will allow Operators to “become violently unstable, resulting in a viciously effective boost to your close-quarters fighting.”

Players will gain “superior melee damage, increased lunge distance, and enhanced stun power while fighting with melee weapons or fists.”

However, there are negatives to this Field Upgrade, as it will make your Operator noisier and give players extra recoil while stunned.

For those familiar with the Black Ops 2 campaign, this Rage Serum sounds very familiar to the “Time and Fate” mission, which saw players take control of Menendez as he goes on a rage-induced rampage after his sister dies.

For those unaware, Menendez will be an Operator in Warzone Season 5, so this would make sense to see in-game. We’ll have to wait and see, but it sounds like Rage Serum will allow players to go on a similar rampage to Menendez’s.
