Warzone Season 2 Reloaded is here, so here’s everything you need to know, including the Rebirth Island overhaul and full patch notes.

rebirth reinforced in warzone pacific season 2 reloaded

Warzone Pacific Season 2 Reloaded is almost here, and the devs have confirmed the changes we can expect to see. Here’s when the update will drop, the full patch notes, and everything arriving in the Season 2 Reloaded update.

Warzone Pacific Season 2 has been a successful one, as the major changes it brought have gone down well with the community. The update brought 30 sought-after quality of life changes, Apex Legends-inspired Redeploy Balloons, and new POIs to Caldera.

But we’re about to receive another major content drop with the midseason update – Season 2 Reloaded. The devs have confirmed what we’ll see in the major update, so here’s everything you need to know about Warzone Pacific Season 2 Reloaded, including the full patch notes.

warzone season 2 reloaded roadmap

Warzone Season 2 Reloaded release time

The Warzone Pacific Season 2 Reloaded update will go live on March 23 at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 4 PM GMT. As you’d expect, this is roughly halfway through Season 2.

The update brings plenty of changes to Rebirth Island, player health, and makes a change that stops Gas Masks from letting you fall to your death.

Warzone Operator applying plates

On March 16, Raven tweeted out a poll in which players could have their say on a possible change to the maximum health in Warzone Season 2 Reloaded. Warzone players were massively in favour of the change, and Raven Software have honored the results.

Warzone’s devs will merge Vanguard Royale and Battle Royale together once the update drops, which brings Vanguard Royale’s 150 HP to the core mode. Expect some significant meta shifts once this happens.

However, health will remain the same in Rebirth Island for the foreseeable, as Raven Software want to gauge feedback before committing the change to both maps.

Rebirth Reinforced

Warzone Pacific Season 2 brings Rebirth Island Reinforced, the “biggest update” since its original release back in December 2020.

Rebirth Reinforced has “significantly altered several points of interest, including Stronghold, and added a new one known as Dock.”

The devs also revealed there will be a “Rebirth Reinforced Event,” and “Payload, Blood Money, and a new Resurgence Solos mode will be featured in weekly playlists alongside classic Rebirth modes.”

This update turns the Security Area into the new Stronghold POI, docks a ship on either side of the island, and majorly overhauls areas such as the Prison Yard.

You can check out our complete guide to Rebirth Reinforced if you want to see all of the changes.

Rebirth reinforced Event

Raven Software are celebrating Rebirth Reinforced’s arrival in Season 2 Reloaded with the Rebirth Reinforced Event.

The devs described it as “the latest community-based experience where your actions on Rebirth Island actually contribute to Perseus’s rebuild.”

Like normal, players can complete challenges to earn new cosmetic items such as a Legendary DP27 LMG Blueprint, but they can also complete “Community Challenges.” If players earn enough Rebirth Island kills following the update, “those who participated will automatically receive 25,000 XP and unlock the use of Weapon Trade Stations on the island.”

These Weapon Trade Stations allow players to “give up their weapon in exchange for one of lesser quality plus additional items, depending on the original weapon’s rarity. These items can include Cash, equipment, Armor Satchels, Self-Revive Kits, Killstreaks… or even a Specialist Token.”

There will be three more Community Challenges following this first one, so stay tuned.

Armaguerra SMG

When the roadmap for Warzone 2 was unveiled, players were promised that the Armaguerra 43 SMG would join the Whitley and KG M40. The Armaguerra is finally here and has already proved to be a powerful choice in Vanguard.

The Armaguerra arrives alongside the Gustavo Dos Santos Operator in the Reloaded update, and the devs said it’s the “fastest-firing weapon in its category,” but with high recoil and low damage to balance that out.

If you’re looking to run the Armaguerra in Season 2 Reloaded, you can check out how to unlock it in Warzone, Vanguard, and Zombies.

New Features

  • Enviornmental improvements
    • A new skybox – We’re still delivering the bright and sunny afternoon sky that is beloved by the community, but with a few twists : Drastic sun orientation update to change the shapes of the shadows throughout the map, and also added stormy/dramatic clouds on the horizon.
    • New lighting & atmosphere – We’ve doubled down on the bright and vibrant color treatment globally, and also updated the atmospheric fog to match the new skybox.
    • New signage & murals.
  • Redeploy Balloons have arrived on Rebirth but with a few twists; destroyed by default, less health, and between 0-4 balloons active at the same time.
  • Gulag Revamp:  The mid-section of the Gulag has been modified to create more exciting engagements for Iron Trials.

New Weapons

Image of KG M40 assault rifle
  • Armaguerra 43 (VG)
    • Very high rate-of-fire SMG. Effective at short to medium range engagements.

Weapon Adjustments

» Assault Rifles «

  • Vargo 52 (BOCW)
    • Maximum Damage decreased from 28 to 27
    • Minimum Damage decreased from 24 to 23
    • Neck Damage Multiplier increased from 1.2 to 1.3

The Vargo 52 (BOCW) is a powerful new addition to the AR category and was outperforming where we wanted it to be. We expect that the weapon will still excel within its damage range and will be keeping a close eye on it for the future.

  • Volkssturmgewehr (VG)
    • Gun Kick adjusted

The Volkssturmgewehr (VG) tended to drift to the right while firing, which could distract or obstruct sight when it mattered most. This change mutes that Weapon movement considerably.

» Marksman Rifles «

  • G-43 (VG)
    • Bullet Velocity increased by 13.8%
  • M1 Garand (VG)
    • Bullet Velocity increased by 14.3%
    • ADS Movement Speed increased from .86 to 1
    • ADS Interrupt Time increased from 300ms to 250ms

ADS Interrupt Time is the point in the Aim Down Sight animation where it can be interrupted by other actions. This change will make its Handling feel lighter and more responsive.

  • SVT-40 (VG)
    • Bullet Velocity increased by 16%

Vanguard Marksman Rifles were behind when looking at velocity. These adjustments are intended to make them far more reliable at their optimal ranges.

» Melee «

  • Most Melee Weapons now execute a Melee Finisher on a second consecutive strike.

This change is significant as Melee Weapons deal 135 damage, which if left unchanged, would consistently require 3 hits to kill with the increase to base health.

» Shotgun «

  • Vanguard Shotgun Damage increased by 10%.
  • Einhorn Revolving (VG)
    • Magazine Capacity increased from 5 to 6

» Sniper Rifle «

  • 3-Line Rifle (VG)
    • [Controller Only] Aim Assist enabled when not in ADS
  • Type 99 (VG)
    • [Controller Only] Aim Assist enabled when not in ADS

» Submachine Guns «

  • Sten (VG)
    • 7.62 Gorenko Capacity increased from 32 to 36
    • .45 ACP Round Fast Mags Capacity increased from 28 to 32
    • 9mm Mags Capacity increased from 20 to 28

On paper, the Sten (VG) has an incredibly compelling stat-line. In reality, it suffered far too much from its limited magazine capacities–which prevented it from piercing the upper echelon of Submachine Guns. A moderate mag size increase will make the Sten (VG) a more competitive option for those who prefer highly-mobile playstyles.

  • Welgun (VG)
    • Fire Rate decreased by 2.2%
    • Recoil increased slightly

» Ammunition «

  • Hollow Point
    • Damage Range now decreased by 20%

Hollow Point has been heavily leaned on by Submachine Guns and with good reason. Its previous damage range penalty would rarely affect the most common engagement distances. This adjustment to the ammunition results in a powerful tool, you’ll just have to get a little closer.

Our ongoing goal with ammunition is to provide options and move away from a singular choice that’s “good for any occasion”.

» Barrel «

  • 3-Line Rifle (VG)
    • 500mm MN Custom
      • Flinch Resistance now properly reduces camera pitch when hit
  • Kar98k (VG)
    • VDD 660mm 05HE
      • Flinch Resistance now properly reduces camera pitch when hit
  • Type 100 (VG)
    • Warubachi 134mm Rapid
      • Visual Recoil decreased
  • Type 99 (VG)
    • Shiraishi 712mm Sniper
      • Flinch Resistance now properly reduces camera pitch when hit
  • Welgun (VG)
    • 320mm SA Shrouded
      • Recoil Control decreased from 36% to 15%

» Magazine «

  • Einhorn Revolving (VG)
    • 16 Gauge 12 Round Cylinder
      • Magazine Capacity increased from 7 to 12
      • Reload Speed increased slightly
    • Birdshot 6 Round Cylinder
      • Reload Speed increased slightly
  • Welgun (VG)
    • .45 48 Round Mags
      • Visual Recoil decreased
    • 7.62 Gorenko 40 Round Mags
      • Fire Rate increased from 11% to 12%
      • Maximum Damage decreased from 30 to 29
      • Mid Damage decreased from 26 to 25
      • Min Damage decreased from 21 to 20
      • Recoil Control decreased from 22% to 16%

The Gorenko 40 Round Mags was simply providing far too much value and was overdue for an adjustment. This still leaves the Welgun in a very strong position despite the change to this particular Magazine.

» Perk «

  • DP27 (VG)
    • Hardscope
      • Recoil Control decreased

» Rear Grip «

  • Sniper Rifles
    • Airborne Elastic Wrap (BOCW)
      • Flinch Resistance now properly reduces camera pitch when hit
    • Dropshot Wrap (BOCW)
      • Flinch Resistance now properly reduces camera pitch when hit
    • Field Tape (BOCW)
      • Flinch Resistance now properly reduces camera pitch when hit
    • SASR Jungle Grip (BOCW)
      • Flinch Resistance now properly reduces camera pitch when hit
    • Polymer Grip (VG)
      • Flinch Resistance now properly reduces camera pitch when hit

Warzone players baffled by “most brutal” nerf in the game’s history

Players cannot understand the decision to deliver the most brutal nerf in Warzone history with the Season 3 Reloaded update.

Warzone Amax nerf Season 3 Reloaded

While the Season 3 Reloaded update brought several weapon balancing changes to the game, one nerf in particular has been deemed the “most brutal” in Warzone history.

On May 25, players received the Warzone Pacific Season 3 Reloaded update that introduced an abundance of changes to the battle royale. New features like the Underground Transit System and Squad HUD were added to the game, alongside justifiable nerfs to Stims and the Roze skin.

While most players agreed with the devs’ various nerfs and buffs in an attempt to further balance the game, one weapon nerf isn’t sitting right with players.

Amax Warzone Assault Rifle

The strange decision to nerf the CR-56 AMAX has left players stunned and utterly baffled following the Season 3 Reloaded update. The update’s Assault Rifle changes essentially buffed Vanguard ARs once again while nerfing some Modern Warfare and Cold War weapons.

The AMAX had its max damage decreased from 35 to 31, and its minimum damage decreased from 31 all the way down to 24. These are some pretty major nerfs that have essentially made the weapon “completely useless” as one Reddit user points out.

Since the AMAX had its damage decreased so heavily, players are questioning if it’s the “most brutal, unnecessary nerf in Warzone history?” While having its damage nerfed to such an extent is certainly brutal, the unnecessary nature of the nerf has also left players baffled.

The AMAX wasn’t exactly dominating the meta and it was far from a popular choice with a WZ Ranked pick rate hovering at around 0.68%. Players in the comments can’t seem to understand the odd decision to nerf the AMAX, “Were that many people even using the Amax that it needed a nerf? Haven’t seen one in a while.”

Other players were left wondering why an overpowered weapon like the STG44 with a pick rate of 16.21% was completely ignored in the latest update, “Meanwhile you will absolutely get lasered by an stg at any range.”

Whether you agree that the Season 3 Reloaded nerf to the AMAX is the most brutal in Warzone history or not, the weapon is sure to go from rarely used to never used by players.

As a result of these baffling Season 3 Reloaded weapon changes, Warzone players have also slammed the devs for forcing Vanguard weapons into the game’s meta.

Warzone’s Stims receive major nerf in Season 3 Reloaded

Warzone players have felt that Stims became too powerful after their buffs, but the devs implemented a new nerf in Season 3 Reloaded.

warzone player and stim in season 3 reloaded

Stims received a major buff going into Warzone Pacific Season 1, but thanks to their ‘super slide’ feature and ability to keep healing players while they take damage, they’ve been nerfed in Season 3 Reloaded.

The Heartbeat Sensor was always the meta pick before Warzone integrated with Vanguard and shifted to Caldera, but the Season 1 update nerfed the Heartbeat Sensor and gave Stims a huge buff.

Although the Heartbeat Sensor is still more popular, the Stim is a close second. Many have claimed that it’s too powerful, especially in the hands of a skilled player, so the devs have brought a nerf for it in Season 3 Reloaded

stim in warzone pacific

Warzone’s Stims were always powerful tools for escaping the gas, and players had the ability to gain a speed boost that allowed them to ‘Stim super slide’ while their health kept ticking even when taking damage.

Alongside Season 3 Reloaded’s major changes such as introducing a highly-requested squad HUD overhaul and reducing the player count, Raven Software implemented a nerf that removes this ability.

While it was initially believed that this change would arrive at a later point, Reddit user ‘ToxemicRug74749’ pointed out that the Stim super slide ability has disappeared following the arrival of Season 3 Reloaded.

The Warzone devs previously explained that the “Stim slide modifier was too extreme,” so it needed to be dialed back. They stated that sliding movement should still receive a buff after players use a Stim, but “it still needs to fit within limits.”

Also, if a player had just used the Stim and took damage, the Stim would keep on refilling their health. Raven felt this was an issue, so they are “adding weapon damage interruption,” where taking damage will cancel the heal.

Now, this will no longer be a problem, as players won’t be able to use the Stims to immediately escape losing gunfights. It remains to be seen if the developers will implement more changes to the Stim as the season progress.

Roze skin nerfed again in Warzone Pacific Season 3 Reloaded

The controversial pay-to-win Roze Operator skin has received another major nerf in Warzone Pacific Season 3 Reloaded.

Roze and Price Operators in Warzone

The Warzone Pacific Season 3 Reloaded update has brought another nerf to the controversial Roze skin in an attempt to fix its glaring visibility issues.

Warzone features a variety of different Operator skins for you to equip, and the infamous Roze skin has received criticism for its frustrating visibility issues, with players calling for the skin to be removed.

While the Operator Skin wasn’t removed, it received a nerf back in Warzone Season 4 to help counter this problem. Now, the developers have nerfed Roze again in Warzone Pacific Season 3 Reloaded.

Roze skins in cod warzone

The Warzone developers implemented various balancing updates in the Season 3 Reloaded update, including buffs and nerfs to various weapons, as well as a brightness adjustment for Roze’s skin.

The outfit’s brightness has been increased by 70% to match the new lighting improvements on the Caldera map. This change is meant to ensure that her outfit remains perfectly visible during intense gunfights.

Raven Software stated in the update patch notes: “Just like our Weapon balance, we are very conscious that our Operator meta plays an equally important role in the second-to-second gameplay health so this change was necessary.”

Masked Roze skin in Warzone

Roze’s completely black outfit frequently blended in with the shadows in certain areas on the map, making it impossible to see. This would give any players who donned the Operator Skin an unfair advantage.

For this reason, the skin had previously been dubbed as ‘pay-to-win,’ so it’s understandable why the developers took the opportunity to make some visibility adjustments in Season 3 Reloaded.
