rebirth reinforced in warzone pacific season 2 reloaded

Warzone Pacific Season 2 Reloaded is almost here, and the devs have confirmed the changes we can expect to see. Here’s when the update will drop, the full patch notes, and everything arriving in the Season 2 Reloaded update.

Warzone Pacific Season 2 has been a successful one, as the major changes it brought have gone down well with the community. The update brought 30 sought-after quality of life changes, Apex Legends-inspired Redeploy Balloons, and new POIs to Caldera.

But we’re about to receive another major content drop with the midseason update – Season 2 Reloaded. The devs have confirmed what we’ll see in the major update, so here’s everything you need to know about Warzone Pacific Season 2 Reloaded, including the full patch notes.

Warzone Season 2 Reloaded release time

The Warzone Pacific Season 2 Reloaded update will go live on March 23 at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 4 PM GMT. As you’d expect, this is roughly halfway through Season 2.

The update brings plenty of changes to Rebirth Island, player health, and makes a change that stops Gas Masks from letting you fall to your death.

Warzone Season 2 reloaded health changes

On March 16, Raven tweeted out a poll in which players could have their say on a possible change to the maximum health in Warzone Season 2 Reloaded. Warzone players were massively in favour of the change, and Raven Software have honored the results.

Warzone’s devs will merge Vanguard Royale and Battle Royale together once the update drops, which brings Vanguard Royale’s 150 HP to the core mode. Expect some significant meta shifts once this happens.

However, health will remain the same in Rebirth Island for the foreseeable, as Raven Software want to gauge feedback before committing the change to both maps.

Rebirth Island map changes in Warzone Season 2 Reloaded

Warzone Pacific Season 2 brings Rebirth Island Reinforced, the “biggest update” since its original release back in December 2020.

Rebirth Reinforced has “significantly altered several points of interest, including Stronghold, and added a new one known as Dock.”

The devs also revealed there will be a “Rebirth Reinforced Event,” and “Payload, Blood Money, and a new Resurgence Solos mode will be featured in weekly playlists alongside classic Rebirth modes.”

This update turns the Security Area into the new Stronghold POI, docks a ship on either side of the island, and majorly overhauls areas such as the Prison Yard.

You can check out our complete guide to Rebirth Reinforced if you want to see all of the changes.

Rebirth Reinforced event in Warzone Season 2 Reloaded

Raven Software are celebrating Rebirth Reinforced’s arrival in Season 2 Reloaded with the Rebirth Reinforced Event.

The devs described it as “the latest community-based experience where your actions on Rebirth Island actually contribute to Perseus’s rebuild.”

Like normal, players can complete challenges to earn new cosmetic items such as a Legendary DP27 LMG Blueprint, but they can also complete “Community Challenges.” If players earn enough Rebirth Island kills following the update, “those who participated will automatically receive 25,000 XP and unlock the use of Weapon Trade Stations on the island.”

These Weapon Trade Stations allow players to “give up their weapon in exchange for one of lesser quality plus additional items, depending on the original weapon’s rarity. These items can include Cash, equipment, Armor Satchels, Self-Revive Kits, Killstreaks… or even a Specialist Token.”

There will be three more Community Challenges following this first one, so stay tuned.

Warzone Season 2 Reloaded new weapon

When the roadmap for Warzone 2 was unveiled, players were promised that the Armaguerra 43 SMG would join the Whitley and KG M40. The Armaguerra is finally here and has already proved to be a powerful choice in Vanguard.

The Armaguerra arrives alongside the Gustavo Dos Santos Operator in the Reloaded update, and the devs said it’s the “fastest-firing weapon in its category,” but with high recoil and low damage to balance that out.

If you’re looking to run the Armaguerra in Season 2 Reloaded, you can check out how to unlock it in Warzone, Vanguard, and Zombies.

MAP

Rebirth Island Adjustments

Overall Updates

  • We’ve increased the amount of loot in less visited areas to encourage players to explore the island.
  • We’ve added plenty of cover in hotspots where players usually get killed to give them a chance to fight back.

New Features

  • Enviornmental improvements
    • A new skybox – We’re still delivering the bright and sunny afternoon sky that is beloved by the community, but with a few twists : Drastic sun orientation update to change the shapes of the shadows throughout the map, and also added stormy/dramatic clouds on the horizon.
    • New lighting & atmosphere – We’ve doubled down on the bright and vibrant color treatment globally, and also updated the atmospheric fog to match the new skybox.
    • New signage & murals.
  • Redeploy Balloons have arrived on Rebirth but with a few twists; destroyed by default, less health, and between 0-4 balloons active at the same time.
  • Gulag Revamp:  The mid-section of the Gulag has been modified to create more exciting engagements for Iron Trials.

Security Area becomes Stronghold

The Security Area is now known as Stronghold following Perseus’s reinforcement project. Stronghold features two new structures – the administrative building and the radar building (replacing the communications tower). Expect to find plenty of items for close combat engagements.

Shore becomes Dock

The previously empty Shore has now become Dock. With an anchored cargo ship now present, climb aboard via the extended concrete helipad and discover the loot inside.

Prison Yard

The Prison Yard has been partially reinforced and the construction materials can be used as cover or as platforms for jumping onto the guard wall walkways. The repainted water tower with Persus’s flags looms in the distance.

Boat Docked at Nova 6 Factory

A second cargo ship has arrived at the Nova 6 Factory. Explore the ship for items and Supply Boxes but avoid falling into the water – it could be dangerous!

KNOWN ISSUES

WEAPONS

New Weapons

  • Armaguerra 43 (VG)
    • Very high rate-of-fire SMG. Effective at short to medium range engagements.

Weapon Adjustments

» Assault Rifles «

  • Vargo 52 (BOCW)
    • Maximum Damage decreased from 28 to 27
    • Minimum Damage decreased from 24 to 23
    • Neck Damage Multiplier increased from 1.2 to 1.3

The Vargo 52 (BOCW) is a powerful new addition to the AR category and was outperforming where we wanted it to be. We expect that the weapon will still excel within its damage range and will be keeping a close eye on it for the future.

  • Volkssturmgewehr (VG)
    • Gun Kick adjusted

The Volkssturmgewehr (VG) tended to drift to the right while firing, which could distract or obstruct sight when it mattered most. This change mutes that Weapon movement considerably.

» Marksman Rifles «

  • G-43 (VG)
    • Bullet Velocity increased by 13.8%
  • M1 Garand (VG)
    • Bullet Velocity increased by 14.3%
    • ADS Movement Speed increased from .86 to 1
    • ADS Interrupt Time increased from 300ms to 250ms

ADS Interrupt Time is the point in the Aim Down Sight animation where it can be interrupted by other actions. This change will make its Handling feel lighter and more responsive.

  • SVT-40 (VG)
    • Bullet Velocity increased by 16%

Vanguard Marksman Rifles were behind when looking at velocity. These adjustments are intended to make them far more reliable at their optimal ranges.

» Melee «

  • Most Melee Weapons now execute a Melee Finisher on a second consecutive strike.

This change is significant as Melee Weapons deal 135 damage, which if left unchanged, would consistently require 3 hits to kill with the increase to base health.

» Shotgun «

  • Vanguard Shotgun Damage increased by 10%.
  • Einhorn Revolving (VG)
    • Magazine Capacity increased from 5 to 6

» Sniper Rifle «

  • 3-Line Rifle (VG)
    • [Controller Only] Aim Assist enabled when not in ADS
  • Type 99 (VG)
    • [Controller Only] Aim Assist enabled when not in ADS

» Submachine Guns «

  • Sten (VG)
    • 7.62 Gorenko Capacity increased from 32 to 36
    • .45 ACP Round Fast Mags Capacity increased from 28 to 32
    • 9mm Mags Capacity increased from 20 to 28

On paper, the Sten (VG) has an incredibly compelling stat-line. In reality, it suffered far too much from its limited magazine capacities–which prevented it from piercing the upper echelon of Submachine Guns. A moderate mag size increase will make the Sten (VG) a more competitive option for those who prefer highly-mobile playstyles.

  • Welgun (VG)
    • Fire Rate decreased by 2.2%
    • Recoil increased slightly

ATTACHMENTS

» Ammunition «

  • Hollow Point
    • Damage Range now decreased by 20%

Hollow Point has been heavily leaned on by Submachine Guns and with good reason. Its previous damage range penalty would rarely affect the most common engagement distances. This adjustment to the ammunition results in a powerful tool, you’ll just have to get a little closer.

Our ongoing goal with ammunition is to provide options and move away from a singular choice that’s “good for any occasion”.

» Barrel «

  • 3-Line Rifle (VG)
    • 500mm MN Custom
      • Flinch Resistance now properly reduces camera pitch when hit

  • Kar98k (VG)
    • VDD 660mm 05HE
      • Flinch Resistance now properly reduces camera pitch when hit

  • Type 100 (VG)
    • Warubachi 134mm Rapid
      • Visual Recoil decreased

  • Type 99 (VG)
    • Shiraishi 712mm Sniper
      • Flinch Resistance now properly reduces camera pitch when hit

  • Welgun (VG)
    • 320mm SA Shrouded
      • Recoil Control decreased from 36% to 15%

» Magazine «

  • Einhorn Revolving (VG)
    • 16 Gauge 12 Round Cylinder
      • Magazine Capacity increased from 7 to 12
      • Reload Speed increased slightly
    • Birdshot 6 Round Cylinder
      • Reload Speed increased slightly
  • Welgun (VG)
    • .45 48 Round Mags
      • Visual Recoil decreased
    • 7.62 Gorenko 40 Round Mags
      • Fire Rate increased from 11% to 12%
      • Maximum Damage decreased from 30 to 29
      • Mid Damage decreased from 26 to 25
      • Min Damage decreased from 21 to 20
      • Recoil Control decreased from 22% to 16%

The Gorenko 40 Round Mags was simply providing far too much value and was overdue for an adjustment. This still leaves the Welgun in a very strong position despite the change to this particular Magazine.

» Perk «

  • DP27 (VG)
    • Hardscope
      • Recoil Control decreased

» Rear Grip «

  • Sniper Rifles
    • Airborne Elastic Wrap (BOCW)
      • Flinch Resistance now properly reduces camera pitch when hit
    • Dropshot Wrap (BOCW)
      • Flinch Resistance now properly reduces camera pitch when hit
    • Field Tape (BOCW)
      • Flinch Resistance now properly reduces camera pitch when hit
    • SASR Jungle Grip (BOCW)
      • Flinch Resistance now properly reduces camera pitch when hit
    • Polymer Grip (VG)
      • Flinch Resistance now properly reduces camera pitch when hit

CoD Warzone 2: Leaks, rumors, platforms & release window

Activision are developing Warzone 2, so here’s everything we know about the sequel to CoD’s popular battle royale.

Published

on

Activision have confirmed a sequel to Warzone will be coming, and here’s everything we know about Warzone 2, including all leaks, rumors, and the release window.

Call of Duty: Warzone has changed significantly since its March 2020 release, with the game receiving every weapon from Black Ops Cold War as well as Vanguard, Verdansk getting nuked, and the setting now taking place in the Pacific.

Now, Activision are looking at moving the battle royale title on further, as they have confirmed that along with Modern Warfare 2, Warzone 2 is also in the works.

Here’s everything we know about Call of Duty: Warzone 2.

What is Call of Duty: Warzone 2?

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is the sequel to CoD’s hit battle royale, which is set to bring “new technology, new features, and new gameplay that work seamlessly together.”

Warzone 2 will be closely related to Modern Warfare 2, featuring “Modern Warfare II content and systems with brand-new progression and inventories.”

When could Warzone 2 release?

Activision have confirmed that Warzone 2 is set to release later this year, 2022, after the release of Modern Warfare 2 on October 28.

Many believe Warzone 2 could follow the same release pattern as its predecessor, releasing around five months after (Modern Warfare 2019).

We don’t yet have an official release date for Warzone 2, but as more information is released we will be sure to update this piece.

Warzone 2 platforms

Warzone 2 will be released on both current and last-gen consoles, as well as Battle.net and Steam for PC. Following in Modern Warfare 2’s footsteps, Warzone 2 will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. Activision confirmed the news on June 8 as they look to provide a wide-reaching experience across both titles.

While Tom Henderson’s previously stated that Warzone 2 will only be on current-gen and PC, he also said there’s a “possibility” that it will also release on previous-gen consoles too.

While Warzone 2 will be a “completely new game for better hardware,” he said it’s possible that they will release a separate previous-gen version without cross-generation play. DICE did a similar thing with Battlefield 2042, where previous-gen consoles received a scaled-back version.

We would expect improved visuals, and maybe even the highly-requested FOV slider on next-gen consoles. He said that “it’s believed this move is to finally move over to current-gen hardware in the best way possible.”

Warzone 2 gameplay

Henderson claims that Warzone 2 will be a “clean slate” which means “starting again, scrapping everything like weapons, operators etc.”

He said that “Warzone 2 is basically a new COD title,” and players should “look at it as a sequel.” Activision later confirmed that Warzone inventory including current weapons, Operators, Perks, and Killstreaks will not transfer over to Warzone 2.

On May 18, players received plenty of new information concerning possible Warzone 2 gameplay. For starters, leakers Henderson and NerosCinema both reported that Warzone 2 will come with loadout drop changes.

A new mechanic called Strongholds is set to alter the way players receive their loadouts. According to leaks, players can approach one of the 20-30 Stronghold areas on the map and complete a set of objectives. Once these objectives are complete they’ll gain access to their loadouts.

Some of the reported objectives involve defusing a bomb or defeating AI enemies. Strongholds will surely add a new layer of strategy to Warzone as each Stronghold can only be captured once per game.

According to the same report, looting will also undergo changes and resemble the system used in Black Ops 4’s Blackout. Supposedly, you won’t spawn in with any armor and you’ll need to find a satchel to equip plates.

This isn’t the only feature that could be returning from previous CoD titles as Pro Perks could also appear. These boosted Perks first arrived in 2009’s Modern Warfare and they provide additional features that will benefit players. NerosCinema believes they’ll make their way to Warzone 2.

It seems Warzone 2 could also borrow from competitors by reportedly introducing a bag system for inventory management, similar to Apex Legends or PUBG.

Furthermore, Call of Duty devs have confirmed that the RICOCHET anti-cheat system will be available in both Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 at launch. This should provide a fresh opportunity for players looking to play a cheater-free battle royale from the start.

Warzone 2 maps

At the time of writing, there’s no official confirmation concerning the maps that players will be able to drop into when Warzone 2 finally launches. But there have been a handful of leaks that might shed some light on possible POIs.

Industry insider Tom Henderson has reported that four classic Modern Warfare 2 maps are set to return as POIs for the Warzone 2 map. Once again, this information has not been confirmed but Henderson believes that High Rise, Quarry, Terminal, and Afghan are the four maps that will feature in Warzone 2.

Later Henderson would go on to reveal what he believed to be all 18 Warzone 2 POIs. He couldn’t go into specifics about each one, but he did share the names of each one:

  • Oasis
  • Wartorn
  • Quarry (Quarry)
  • Oilfield
  • Modern City (Highrise)
  • Caves (Afghan)
  • Dam
  • Marshes
  • Harbor
  • Sira
  • Observatory
  • Mountain town (possibly Favela)
  • Graveyard
  • Oldtown
  • Shipwreck
  • Fishtown
  • Fort
  • Airport (Terminal)

Nothing is confirmed here, and there is also every chance that the names of these POIs could change ahead of release. He also stated that there could very well be more than just four MW2 maps that appear, so some of these POIs could hide another classic map from 2009.

Continuing with the leaks, TheMW2Ghost shared a recreation of what they claim to be the Warzone 2 map.

The map lacks detail at this stage, but it shows what appear to be roads passing through the map. In addition, there’s a large river cutting through the middle of the map. While this isn’t official artwork they claim that it is a “remake based off of the actual map image.”

While we don’t have official images of the map as of yet, Tom Henderson also revealed a drawing of the map that highlights map information from the industry insider.

As you can see the map is set to be on the coast similar to Verdansk, and the POIs by the water could make use of the new swimming mechanic that is expected in Warzone 2.

When speaking of the map size, Henderson said “it does seem bigger than that of Verdansk and Caldera, especially considering if the grid reference is accurate.” Henderson also claimed that Warzone 2 would share the same map with Modern Warfare 2’s DMZ game mode.

On July 2, a major Modern Warfare 2 leak revealed images of several multiplayer maps including Ground War maps. As previously mentioned by Infinity Ward, Ground War maps will come together to form the new Warzone 2 map.

Hydro was the first Ground War map to leak, and the image above showcases a desert landscape with water flowing through the center. Given that Infinity Ward confirmed the Warzone 2 engine will support swimming, don’t be surprised to see many POIs featuring water.

The next map that was a part of the Ground War leak is Fishtown. If we take the name of the map into account this could turn out to be a port city of some sort. The image already reveals a beach that trails off right before we see the shore.

The final Ground War map revealed in the leak is called Sira. Sira looks much less rural than the previous two maps, with a modern-looking facility taking center stage. There is still evidence of a tropical environment given the number of palm trees in the image.

Will Warzone still exist after Warzone 2 releases?

Activision have confirmed that Warzone will continue to exist after Warzone 2 is released: “Warzone will continue as a separate experience that will include a continuation of player progression and inventories within that Warzone experience.”

Having said that, Warzone 2 will be a brand new game, separate from the original, meaning that player inventories will be reset.

Cheaters infest Warzone again as players claim providers are back with free hacks

Warzone players are frustrated with a recent increase in the number of cheaters running rampant in Season 4 of the battle royale.

Frustrated players are claiming that an uptick in cheaters during Warzone Season 4 is a direct effect of cheat providers offering free hacks.

Warzone Season 4 delivered a ton of new content to enjoy including the brand-new Fortune’s Keep map that players have praised for its exciting gameplay. Unfortunately, a recent increase in the number of cheaters is ruining the fun and leading to a frustrated community of players.

After RICOCHET anti-cheat made running into Warzone hacks less frequent, players claim that cheat providers are returning with new and improved software to bypass the anti-cheat. To make matters worse, it seems providers are offering their cheats free of charge.

Warzone has always had a major issue with cheaters ruining matches for legitimate players. Without a proper anti-cheat protecting Warzone players, cheat providers had nothing to worry about.

This all changed with the launch of RICOCHET during Warzone Pacific Season 1. Since then, RICOCHET has implemented several methods to prevent cheaters from running rampant.

For a while, it became less common for cheaters to appear in-game, as the anti-cheat successfully snuffed out hacks. However, it seems that cheat providers have finally caught up to RICOCHET in Season 4, with many players reporting an increase in cheaters.

A post from the Warzone subreddit has players discussing why the recent uptick in cheaters has occurred. For starters, most players claimed that cheat providers have been offering their hacks for free as of late: “Engineowning Hack company is giving out a free wall hack this weekend for the fourth!! that’s why.”

The fact that Warzone cheats are available for free is a major issue in itself, but the most pressing matter that players discussed was the fact that cheat providers have updated their services to counter RICOCHET in its current state.

After being relativity quiet for a long period of time, it seems cheat providers have returned with new products that are designed to bypass the current version of RICOCHET: “A streamer said that a company that makes the cheats put out a update to be able to cheat again.”

It looks like RICOCHET and cheat providers will continue to trade blows in a repetitive cycle. We already know that RICOCHET is a form of software that adapts to new cheats and improves its ability to pinpoint cheaters over time.

As cheat providers continue to develop new and improved cheats, RICOCHET will take some time to catch up before it can detect and eliminate hackers. However, once it does catch up, the number of hackers should drop significantly thus repeating the cycle once more.

FaZe Swagg shows how to build Advanced Warfare’s OP ASM1 Speakeasy in Warzone

Top streamer FaZe Swagg has shown how to bring Advanced Warfare’s infamous ASM1 Speakeasy SMG to Warzone Season 4.

The ASM1 Speakeasy was one of Advanced Warfare’s most overpowered SMGs and FaZe star Kris ‘Swagg’ Lamberson has brought it to Warzone with a powerful loadout.

Warzone’s Gunsmith allows players to create a ton of unique weapon builds, especially with over 100 weapons from three games on offer. Thanks to all these wild attachment combinations, players can bring back fan-favorite weapons from previous games such as the UMP45, MP5K, ACR, and TAR-21.

Now, Faze Swagg has gone back to Advanced Warfare and brought the infamous variant everyone was chasing to Warzone — the ASM1 Speakeasy. Here’s everything you need to build this powerful variant in Warzone.

Advanced Warfare’s ASM1 Speakeasy was an Elite variant of the ASM1 SMG which came with a default extended drum mag that made it look like the classic Tommy Gun. The Speakeasy immediately became one of the game’s most sought-after thanks to its fast fire rate and huge magazine.

Of course, the Thompson is in Warzone thanks to Vanguard’s M1928, so players can create a weapon that looks and feels almost exactly the same as the Speakeasy. Top streamer FaZe Swagg spotted TikTok creator ‘justklutch_’ remake the Speakeasy in Warzone and tried it out in Caldera and Rebirth Island.

It appears the Speakeasy has retained its power in Warzone, where Swagg used its large magazine, high fire rate, and mobility to drop an incredible 33 kills in Rebirth Island.

Swagg’s ASM1 Speakeasy Warzone loadout

  • Muzzle: Recoil Booster
  • Barrel: CGC 12″ Cooling
  • Optic: Large Iron Sights
  • Stock: CGC Wire Grip
  • Underbarrel: Mark VI Skeletal
  • Magazine: 9mm 50 Round Drums
  • Ammunition: Hollow Point
  • Rear Grip: Fabric Grip
  • Perk: Fleet
  • Perk 2: Quick

The combination of Large Iron Sights and 9mm 50 Round Drums are what really turns Warzone’s M1928 into Advanced Warfare’s ASM1 Speakeasy. The iron sights make it look and feel almost exactly the same, and it wouldn’t be a Speakeasy without the drum mag.

Of course, the ASM1 Speakeasy was known for its high rate of fire, so the Recoil Booster muzzle is a must-pick to boost the fire rate and rip through the competition. The rest of the attachments are used to boost its accuracy and mobility, allowing you to finesse other players in close-range fights.
