Warzone Season 3 Reloaded map changes: Die Hard’s Nakatomi Plaza, Rambo camps & more
The Call of Duty: Warzone 80s Action Heroes event goes live on May 20, and brings new limited-time locations to Verdansk ’84 like Die Hard’s Nakatomi Plaza and Rambo survival camps.
Warzone Season 3 took us back to the 1980s with Verdansk ’84, which gives players the chance to explore what the location was like 40 years ago. With Warzone Season 3 Reloaded, we’re getting even more 80s goodness, with the Action Heroes event bringing some of the decade’s greatest characters to the game.
Die Hard’s John McClane and Rambo’s self-titled hero are arriving as Operators, and are also getting some special locations on the Warzone map for players to enjoy throughout the event.
All of these locations are in Verdansk for a limited time only as part of the 80s event for Warzone, so don’t expect them to be around forever. Here’s a look at all the new points-of-interest coming in the Warzone Season 3 Reloaded patch.
Nakatomi Plaza arrives in Downtown
The broadcast tower in Downtown Verdansk is completely overhauled, turning into Nakatomi Plaza from Die Hard for the 80s Action Heroes event. Not only is the broadcast tower changing, but the surrounding blocks have also been revamped, giving the area a new feeling.
The location change isn’t the only update though. Players will also find new optional missions that offer some awesome 80s-themed rewards in both Battle Royale and Plunder.
Optional missions will include disarming a C4 in the Tower Roof, interrupt active arms deals occurring in the Plaza, and even crack the vault at the location. Think Die Hard-style missions to do, just within the Plaza.
Completing these missions will give rewards during the match, and also some sweet cosmetics to rock after the game is completed.
Rambo Survival Camps
The surrounding campsites in Warzone’s Verdansk will get a brief update to become Survival Camps based off of the Rambo movie locales.
Players can find these locations around the map, which feature Dog Tags to recover within Verdansk ’84.
Around Verdansk, numerous campsites have been converted into Survival Camps as a homage to Rambo: First Blood Part II.
Find any of these ten camps across the map, and you could walk out with some solid loadout items or the dog tags of comrades who fell long before your arrival. Collect enough of them, and you may be able to get an even greater reward…
CIA Outpost
Finally, the other update to Warzone’s Verdansk for the 80s Action Hero event is a change to the Aircraft Hangers, found in the northwest corner of the map.
These hangers will be converted to a CIA post, modeled after the Outpost in Rambo: First Blood Part II.
With the CIA attempting to track down Rambo, they’ll be using this converted hanger as their base of operations.
Apparently, these field operatives are also searching for any identification of fallen soldiers and may bring in some air reinforcements should enough of them be collected for extraction. Maybe this can be used to stage an ambush that only a true guerilla warfare expert could handle…
Remember, these locations will only be part of Verdansk ’84 for a limited time, so make sure you hop into the game and check them out for yourself as Warzone Season 3 Reloaded kicks off on May 20.
