Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue that caused previously unlocked Zombies content to remain locked in Warzone.
  • Players must launch the Black Ops Cold War client at least once in order to receive the fix.
  • Fixed an issue causing Soap to not appear in the Operator selection menu if locked.
  • Fixed an issue where some Vehicle Horns could cause a Player’s client to crash.

There is no doubt that the main highlight of the Warzone September 10 update patch notes was the arrival of a fix for an issue that was not allowing players to properly apply Zombies camos from Black Ops Cold War to their weapons when playing the Call of Duty battle royale.

The launch of Season 5 Reloaded brought a great deal of excitement with its finally adding Zombies camos from Black Ops Cold War to Warzone after it had been promised by the game’s developers that the popular cosmetic items would be added to the battle royale at some point.

While the official announcement of the Cold War Zombies camos was met with plenty of excitement from the Warzone community, some players were unable to apply the Zombies camos successfully.

However, the Warzone September 10 update patch notes have delivered a fix that will ensure every player who has the Black Ops Cold War Zombies camos can use them in their future battles.

Warzone Season 2 leaks claim Rebirth Island may be removed

According to notable Call of Duty insiders, Rebirth Island could soon be replaced in Warzone Pacific Season 2.

Rebirth Island in Warzone

A new leak from notable Call of Duty insiders have claimed that Warzone’s Rebirth Island may be replaced when the battle royale’s second season launches in February.

Warzone Season 1’s Pacific update gave fans a refreshing change of scenery with the addition of the Caldera map. The map may only be a couple of months old, but the game’s developers have hinted that we could see some map changes in February’s Season 2.

It seems that Caldera won’t be the only map in Warzone to go through changes in the new update. According to new leaks, Rebirth Island could be replaced with a new map in the upcoming season.

These leaks came from prominent CoD insiders ‘Tom Henderson’ and ‘TheMW2Ghost’ in a January 27 live stream, who shared some rumors about what Raven may have planned for Warzone Pacific Season 2.

TheMW2Ghost claimed that the developers may be planning to replace the popular Rebirth map: “Recently, I was told this map is coming. It’s a new map and it’s for the Warzone anniversary.”

They admitted that they don’t have any details about the new map’s size or location. The leakers also explained that it’s possible that it could just be a “new themed version of [Rebirth].”

If these leaks are accurate, then Rebirth Island could be replaced in a matter of weeks. Another notable CoD leaker ‘TheGhostOfHope’ referred to this new area as the ‘Resurgence’ map.

This insider also added that the plans for this new location aren’t confirmed, claiming that the Warzone developers haven’t decided if the Resurgence map will “replace or rotate with Rebirth Island.”

While this all sounds exciting, it’s worth keeping in mind that these are currently just leaks, and these haven’t been officially confirmed by the developers.

Rebirth Island has a limited lobby size of just 40 players and a smaller layout than Caldera. The close-quarters action makes it popular among Warzone players, and it will be missed if it’s removed from the game.

Warzone players want Raven to switch two POIs on Caldera

A Warzone player has rearranged the POIs on Caldera after the community has expressed their discontent with the map design.

Warzone’s new map hasn’t exactly been received very well by players and now the community is suggesting that Raven should switch around two of the POI’s.

Warzone‘s new map Caldera hasn’t exactly been getting positive reviews since it was introduced. As well as bugs and glitches on the map, players have also not been happy with the layout, with many missing Verdansk.

With that being said, one player decided to come up with a way to make the map better by rearranging the POIs.

Reddit user ARES_GOD put a post up in the Warzone subreddit of the Caldera map. The post is captioned: “Hey @RavenSoftware just a thought about Caldera think this would feel better… (Changing POI location).”

Upon inspection, players will notice that the map of Caldera in the post is slightly different from the actual layout of the map. In fact, two of the most popular POIs have switched positions with each other, which the player feels would make Caldera “feel better.”

The two POIs in question are Peak and Capital, which have been switched in this version of the Caldera map. Peak is usually right in the center of the map, which many players aren’t too fond of, as one of the comments states: “Yeah i just dont like peak in the middle.”

The massive mountain directly in the middle of Caldera makes it hard to rotate, as traversing up rocky terrain is notoriously difficult in Warzone.

The idea is to switch this massive height with Capital, a more level POI that would likely make it easier for players to rotate through. Players seem to like the idea, as the post has over three hundred upvotes, with comments expressing their fondness of the change: “The way you edited the map like this is incredible…more buildings at the center for strategizing.”

However, one comment has pointed out that the logistics of the change won’t make much sense: “But whos going to go to an island resort NOT on the beach. And the capital needs a water way for trade. Not very feasible. Though I agree, peak dead center, not my favorite.”

This probably won’t be the way in which Raven updates Caldera, however, they have confirmed that changes are coming.
