A new set of changes have arrived for Call of Duty: Warzone with the September 23 update patch notes that have been revealed by Raven Software.

Season 5 Reloaded has brought major changes to the world of Warzone with The Numbers Event, Mobile Broadcast Stations, Iron Trials ’84, and various weapon buffs and nerfs.

However, Raven Software is still working on the Call of Duty battle royale to ensure it is the best it can be with the Warzone September 23 update patch notes set to bring game-changing alterations to the game.

Two of the most significant changes in the Warzone September 23 update patch notes are no doubt a nerf to the Bullfrog SMG and a slight buff for the Krig 6 Assault Rifle.

Modes

Iron Trials ’84

The following changes are exclusive to the Iron Trials ’84 mode:

  • Buy Stations
    • The Specialist Token has been added
    • Supply Run discounts are now 50% on every item except Team Redeploy (100%), Loadout Drop Marker (10%), and Specialist Token (10%)
    • The Hardline Perk now gives a 25% discount to every item except Self Revive (20%), Loadout Drop Marker (10%), and Specialist Token (20%)

We suspect very few people will be able to say they’ve purchased a Specialist Token. However, we do feel there is an opportunity to provide high tier Players with additional impactful outlets for their hard earned resources. Additionally, further enabling purchasing power with Hardline is something we would like to continue to explore.

  • Contracts
    • Contract Cash rewards (per Player) have been reduced. Multiplier values are unchanged.
      • Recon
        • $1,300 down to $1,100
      • Scavenger
        • $2,500 down to $1,600
      • Bounty
        • $3,800 down to $2,500
      • Supply Run
        • $1,300 down to $1,200

We recognize that this may be a polarizing change, but we feel it is a necessary one. When we gate access to Loadouts behind a large price tag, as is the case, we force players to continue moving around the map. This works to disincentivize camping. While we do not anticipate this change will have a large impact on the most skilled Players – those who stay put and avoid engagements will find themselves resource strained and quickly falling behind. This is part of how we subtly encourage map movement and fighting. Additionally, we feel scavenging, being resourceful, and barely scraping by is part of what adds to the charm and intensity of the Trials. This dynamic makes room for, and emphasizes other facets of skill like movement, teamwork, strategy, and map knowledge. By delaying Loadout acquisition, we are further smoothing out player power such that each increase to it is much more noticeable and allows more room for those secondary skillsets to shine. We will be monitoring the mode and Player feedback closely to ensure this change is having the intended effect.

  • Gulag
    • Light Machine Guns (except the RPD (BOCW)) and all Tactical Rifles have been removed from Gulag Loadouts.

We feel an emphasis on Submachine Guns and Assault Rifles better suits this version of the Gulag.

  • Melee
    • Weapons will no longer deal more than 120 damage per melee hit.
       
  • Loot
    • Armor Satchel, Gas Mask, and Self Revive drop rates have been reduced
    • Ground Loot XM4 (BOCW) attachments have been updated
    • Ground Loot Bullfrog (BOCW) attachments have been updated

The XM4 (BOCW) and Bullfrog (BOCW) Attachments are now more closely aligned with popular builds.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed additional collision issues with various elements on Rebirth Island allowing Players to exploit/peek/shoot through them.
  • Fixed an issue with the Bullfrog (BOCW) that reduced recoil while firing.

Weapons

Submachine Guns

  • Bullfrog (BOCW)
    • ADS Speed decreased by 9%
    • Movement Speed decreased by 1%
    • ADS Movement Speed decreased by 2%

The Bullfrog (BOCW) is a true jack of all trades. It has great Mobility, Effective Damage Range, Handling, and base Magazine Capacity – which would often act as a free Attachment. These changes, in conjunction with a Recoil bug fix, will bring the Bullfrog (BOCW) much closer to the competition. 

  • Shotgun Bravo (BOCW)
    • Maximum Damage Range decreased from 4.5 to 3.5 meters
    • Second Damage Range decreased from 8.1 to 5.5 meters
    • Third Damage Range decreased from 13.2 to 9.9 meters

The Shotgun Bravo (BOCW) has been incredibly dominant due to its Effective Damage Range, Magazine Capacity, Mobility, and Rate of Fire. By reducing its Effective Damage Ranges, the Shotgun Bravo (BOCW) will begin to feel more like a Shotgun and less like a Sniper.

Given the Krig 6’s (BOCW) most recent adjustments, we felt it was appropriate to increase the effectiveness of its Recoil Control Attachments slightly.

    • 20” Liberator
      • Vertical Recoil Control decreased from 11.1% to 10%
    • 18.2” VDV Reinforced

Cheaters infest Warzone again as players claim providers are back with free hacks

Warzone players are frustrated with a recent increase in the number of cheaters running rampant in Season 4 of the battle royale.

Frustrated players are claiming that an uptick in cheaters during Warzone Season 4 is a direct effect of cheat providers offering free hacks.

Warzone Season 4 delivered a ton of new content to enjoy including the brand-new Fortune’s Keep map that players have praised for its exciting gameplay. Unfortunately, a recent increase in the number of cheaters is ruining the fun and leading to a frustrated community of players.

After RICOCHET anti-cheat made running into Warzone hacks less frequent, players claim that cheat providers are returning with new and improved software to bypass the anti-cheat. To make matters worse, it seems providers are offering their cheats free of charge.

Warzone has always had a major issue with cheaters ruining matches for legitimate players. Without a proper anti-cheat protecting Warzone players, cheat providers had nothing to worry about.

This all changed with the launch of RICOCHET during Warzone Pacific Season 1. Since then, RICOCHET has implemented several methods to prevent cheaters from running rampant.

For a while, it became less common for cheaters to appear in-game, as the anti-cheat successfully snuffed out hacks. However, it seems that cheat providers have finally caught up to RICOCHET in Season 4, with many players reporting an increase in cheaters.

A post from the Warzone subreddit has players discussing why the recent uptick in cheaters has occurred. For starters, most players claimed that cheat providers have been offering their hacks for free as of late: “Engineowning Hack company is giving out a free wall hack this weekend for the fourth!! that’s why.”

The fact that Warzone cheats are available for free is a major issue in itself, but the most pressing matter that players discussed was the fact that cheat providers have updated their services to counter RICOCHET in its current state.

After being relativity quiet for a long period of time, it seems cheat providers have returned with new products that are designed to bypass the current version of RICOCHET: “A streamer said that a company that makes the cheats put out a update to be able to cheat again.”

It looks like RICOCHET and cheat providers will continue to trade blows in a repetitive cycle. We already know that RICOCHET is a form of software that adapts to new cheats and improves its ability to pinpoint cheaters over time.

As cheat providers continue to develop new and improved cheats, RICOCHET will take some time to catch up before it can detect and eliminate hackers. However, once it does catch up, the number of hackers should drop significantly thus repeating the cycle once more.

FaZe Swagg shows how to build Advanced Warfare’s OP ASM1 Speakeasy in Warzone

Top streamer FaZe Swagg has shown how to bring Advanced Warfare’s infamous ASM1 Speakeasy SMG to Warzone Season 4.

The ASM1 Speakeasy was one of Advanced Warfare’s most overpowered SMGs and FaZe star Kris ‘Swagg’ Lamberson has brought it to Warzone with a powerful loadout.

Warzone’s Gunsmith allows players to create a ton of unique weapon builds, especially with over 100 weapons from three games on offer. Thanks to all these wild attachment combinations, players can bring back fan-favorite weapons from previous games such as the UMP45, MP5K, ACR, and TAR-21.

Now, Faze Swagg has gone back to Advanced Warfare and brought the infamous variant everyone was chasing to Warzone — the ASM1 Speakeasy. Here’s everything you need to build this powerful variant in Warzone.

ASM1 Speakeasy SMG in Warzone

Advanced Warfare’s ASM1 Speakeasy was an Elite variant of the ASM1 SMG which came with a default extended drum mag that made it look like the classic Tommy Gun. The Speakeasy immediately became one of the game’s most sought-after thanks to its fast fire rate and huge magazine.

Of course, the Thompson is in Warzone thanks to Vanguard’s M1928, so players can create a weapon that looks and feels almost exactly the same as the Speakeasy. Top streamer FaZe Swagg spotted TikTok creator ‘justklutch_’ remake the Speakeasy in Warzone and tried it out in Caldera and Rebirth Island.

It appears the Speakeasy has retained its power in Warzone, where Swagg used its large magazine, high fire rate, and mobility to drop an incredible 33 kills in Rebirth Island.

The combination of Large Iron Sights and 9mm 50 Round Drums are what really turns Warzone’s M1928 into Advanced Warfare’s ASM1 Speakeasy. The iron sights make it look and feel almost exactly the same, and it wouldn’t be a Speakeasy without the drum mag.

Of course, the ASM1 Speakeasy was known for its high rate of fire, so the Recoil Booster muzzle is a must-pick to boost the fire rate and rip through the competition. The rest of the attachments are used to boost its accuracy and mobility, allowing you to finesse other players in close-range fights.

Warzone players beg Raven to change “best and funniest” part of the game

Warzone Pacific provides a variety of fun features, and players are begging Raven Software to bring a small change to the “best and funniest” feature in the game.

When you hop into a game of Warzone with a squad, you have the opportunity to engage in fun banter with your teammates in the voice chat while simultaneously eliminating enemy players.

After taking a target down, you also have the option to listen to your fallen foe’s final reactions through the death comm. Now, players are calling for the devs to make this feature even more fun with a simple change.

When your enemy’s open mic is broadcast to you, there’s a strong chance that’ll you hear them raging over their defeat. Reddit user ‘Justice171’ praised death comms in the Warzone subreddit, claiming that they’re “among the best parts of the game.”

The Redditor claimed that it’s extremely fun to hear your opponent’s final words and repeat them to your teammates. They then listed one change that the devs could make to death comms.

They suggested that Raven Software should add an option to enable hearing the death comms of anyone your team kills. This would allow you to hear more enemy players’ final moments for a “massive increase in enjoyment.”

In the thread, many of the commenters agreed that this change would make the game more fun. A few users shared their own memorable experiences with the death comm feature in Warzone.

Others gave their own suggestions for how Raven could change the feature. One player stated that the death comm should go to anyone who has an assist on the kill, but added that giving it to the entire team would be “obnoxious.”

Another suggested change in the thread was that death comms should “go both ways and last a little longer,” with both players being able to hear each other after one of them has been taken down.

One user stated: “Absolutely agree. Sometimes, I feel like I could say something in the death comms, but some of it would be cut out on the enemies’ ends.”

At the time of writing, it remains to be seen whether or not Raven Software will respond to these requests by implementing a major change to Warzone’s death comms. If they announce any adjustments, we’ll be sure to let you know.
