Following significant nerfs to the NZ-41 and KG M40, a Warzone expert explains which AR is set to rise to the top of the long-range meta.

An August 3 Warzone update delivered nerfs to the meta-defining NZ-41 and KG M40, and Warzone expert Isaac ‘IceManIsaac’ Hamilton revealed the Assault Rifle that could take the top spot in Season 4 Reloaded.

Since the start of Season 4 Reloaded, the Warzone meta has been the most diverse and varied its been in a long time. While the long-range meta has a ton of viable options, experts like JGOD had the NZ-41 and KG M40 as the two top options.

However, both the KG M40 and NZ-41 should suffer setbacks after being nerfed in an August 3 update. The long-range meta is destined to shift once again and Call of Duty content creator IceManIsaac believes another Vanguard Assault Rifle will rise to the top.

Interestingly enough, IceManIsaac claimed that the Cooper Carbine has what it takes to rise to the top in Season 4 Reloaded before news of the nerfs broke. The expert claims that even before the nerf, the Cooper Carbine “kills faster than the KG.”

With a fast TTK and the weapon’s notoriously easy-to-control recoil, it’s no surprise that the Cooper Carbine is destined to dominate.

After factoring in the nerfs that will send the NZ-41 and KG M40 down the ranks, the Cooper Carbine has an even greater chance of claiming the top spot.

IceManIsaac’s Warzone Cooper Carbine loadout

  • Muzzle: MX Silencer
  • Barrel: 22” Cooper Custom
  • Optic: SVT-40 PU Scope 3-6x
  • Stock: Cooper Custom Padded
  • Underbarrel: Carver Foregrip
  • Magazine: 9mm 60 Round Drums
  • Ammunition: Compressed Rounds
  • Rear Grip: Polymer Grip
  • Perk 1: Tight Grip
  • Perk 2: On-Hand

IceManIsaac explains that with one small change you can truly maximize the potential of the Cooper Carbine for long-range gunfights. The change that players are overlooking is swapping the standard Lengthened ammunition with Compressed Rounds.

The Compressed Rounds will see the weapon’s fire rate rise to incredible levels, effectively covering its only weakness: “it’s going to add a little bit more recoil, but keep in mind the Cooper hardly has any recoil to begin with and that’s going to bring us to an insane TTK.”

The Cooper Carbine’s excellent base recoil control means that players can get away with improving fire rate at the cost of adding some more recoil. The Carver Foregrip and Polymer Grip will help keep your shots nice and steady as well.

IceManIsaac claims that this loadout is particularly dominant in solos and duos. They also confirm that it kills faster than all of the meta ARs in the game even before the recent nerfs.

Warzone players slam “awful” Terminator camo challenges

Warzone Pacific players are extremely frustrated with the challenges to unlock Terminator camos in Season 4 Reloaded.

Terminator in Warzone

Raven Software added new Terminator cosmetics at the start of Warzone Pacific Season 4 Reloaded, and players have expressed their frustration with the crossover’s challenges.

Warzone Pacific Season 4 Reloaded features a plethora of fun content for players to enjoy, including the Terminator crossover which brought new Operator skins and challenges to the game.

Successfully completing these in-game challenges will grant you access to numerous Terminator-themed rewards, but they are being heavily criticized by the Warzone community.

Reddit user ‘AceOfSpades90000000’ slammed these challenges in the Warzone Pacific subreddit, describing them as “awful” because of the abundance of lag and enemies using aimbots.

The Redditor claimed that these problems make it “practically impossible” to win 4 games and then expressed their admiration for those players that were able to successfully complete the Terminator challenges.

Many of the commenters agreed that the challenges are too difficult and frustrating to complete. However, not everyone agreed about aimbots being an issue, as users offered their own criticisms of the challenges.

A few players felt that the rewards being offered aren’t worth the effort required to unlock them. One user wrote: “The rewards are terrible. Am I seeing things or is the same calling card there 4 times with slightly different colors?”

The rewards also include new weapon camos that are inspired by the looks of different Terminators such as the T-800 and liquid metal T-1000 from the movies, but unlocking them is proving to be challenging.

One of the commenters claimed to have played all day without much success: “All I need is 2 wins for liquid metal but it’s impossible because everywhere I go, I get rolled and I’m not even bad at the game.”

Despite these criticisms, a few users in the thread defended the Terminator crossover and provided their fellow players with advice on how to get these challenges done quickly.

One player suggested trying the first challenges since they’re easy to complete in just a few games. You’ll have a better chance of winning 4 games if you hop into the challenges with a squad that’s comprised of your friends.

While some players have expressed their disappointment with Warzone’s Terminator crossover for being a huge missed opportunity, there are those that are able to have a good time and get these challenges done.

Warzone expert claims forgotten Vanguard sniper is “broken” with insane one-shot power

One broken Sniper Rifle is now able to one-shot players to the chest after its nerfs were reverted in Warzone Pacific Season 4 Reloaded.

Warzone Operator using Sniper Rifle

Warzone expert Isaac ‘IceManIsaac’ Hamilton has revealed which Sniper Rifle is now capable of one-shotting enemies to the chest after the developers reverted its nerfs.

When you hop into a game of Warzone Pacific, you’ll face tough competition from opposing players and will need to select the best weapon loadouts for different combat situations in order to come out on top.

If you prefer to pick off your enemies from a distance then Sniper Rifles are the best choice, and Call of Duty expert IceManIsaac has showcased an extremely broken one that can instantly take out enemies in Season 4 Reloaded.

The Type 99 Sniper Rifle previously received a massive nerf in Warzone Pacific Season 3 and this was meant to prevent players from securing one-shot kills outside of the weapon’s max damage range.

However, this nerf was reverted in the July 28 update which increased the maximum damage range to 50 meters, up from 37 Meters. As a result, the weapon is able to eliminate enemies extremely quickly.

IceManIsaac described the weapon as “jarring and super satisfying to use.” You can use it to take out your opponents instantly with a single shot to the chest. The Warzone expert then revealed his loadout for the powerful Sniper Rifle.

IceManIsaac’s Type 99 Loadout

  • Muzzle: MX Silencer
  • Barrel: Shiraishi 712mm Sniper
  • Optic: SVT-40 PU Scope 3-6x / ZF4 3.5x Rifle Scope
  • Stock: Removed Stock
  • Underbarrel: SMLE Pistol Grip
  • Magazine: 8mm Klauser 5 Round Mags
  • Ammunition: Lengthened
  • Rear Grip: Taped Grip
  • Perk 1: Vital
  • Perk 2: On-Hand

IceManIsaac uses many of the same attachments as the best Type 99 Warzone loadout, but he went with the Taped Grip for the faster weapon swap speed that it provides. Even if you hit a shoulder shot, you can switch to an SMG quickly to finish off your opponent.

The SVT-40 PU Scope 3-6x optic is an ideal choice for Caldera but its biggest drawback is the glint that enemies can spot, giving away your position and putting you at a disadvantage. If you want to avoid the glint, you can try out the ZF4 3.5x Rifle Scope instead

The Vital perk is a key part of this loadout as it increases the size of the critical-hit area on enemies. Finally, the Removed Stock and the SMLE Pistol Grip let you aim down sights faster.

Call of Duty devs explain why they use weapon codenames in patch notes

In the Warzone patch notes the devs use codenames for weapons instead of their in-game name, and they have finally revealed why.

Call of Duty developers have officially revealed the reason why they use codenames for weapons in the patch notes.

Warzone is in its fourth season, and the devs have been giving weapon codenames since the very beginning. This has always baffled players as they are unaware as to why the developers don’t just use their in-game names.

Luckily, two devs have revealed why they use codenames for weapons, and the answer may not be much of a surprise.

In response to a player’s tweets regarding the use of “Asault Rifle Charlie” and “Assault Rifle Hotel” in the patch notes, two developers provided insight into the question.

According to the Sledgehammer Games Communication Manager and Treyarch’s Associate Director, the reason Activision uses codenames for weapons in Warzone is for “legal reasons.”

The devs actually can’t use the official names, and it seems they actually feel the same as players when it comes to the codenames, with Sam Leichtamer saying that it’s “very confusing for (the devs) too.”

In another tweet, developer Matt Scronce agrees, saying that he doesn’t like it any more than players do, but for “legal/licensing reasons,” it is necessary.

Well there you have it, that’s why your favorite weapons in Warzone have codenames in the patch notes. For more, check out what loadout NICKMERCS beat his Warzone kill record with.
