Technology is fighting back in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 3 as footage has appeared on social media of the battle royale’s Big Bertha trucks randomly killing a player for no reason.

In addition to the endless threat of 149 other players, people peppering the map with UAVs because of opening Nakatomi’s Vault, and the endless circling of bullies in Berthas, Warzone players have enough danger to worry about.

But now, a new threat has emerged as Warzone’s Big Bertha trucks seem to be sentient and are now capable of killing their captors.

The bizarre clip of the incident was posted by Reddit user deyrajib, and the confusing footage will surely keep anyone on their toes when they see a free Big Bertha to approach.

deyrajib wasn’t even inside the truck and operating it when they spontaneously died. With 13 people left in the game and vehicles patrolling the circle, they sought sanctuary in the back of a Big Bertha.

Within a few seconds of being in the truck’s spacious back, the player somehow died on the spot, with the killfeed putting it down to an alleged suicide.

There’s no killcam to show anything untoward, no hint that they were shot at, and ultimately no reason as to why they died.

Warzone’s devs have already teased that the trucks will be removed from the popular battle royale game in the near future. They are also investigating a similar vehicle, friendly fire glitch that is also causing bedlam in Verdansk.

But in the meantime, perhaps think twice before you set foot anywhere near a Big Bertha truck as it might come back to haunt you.
