Warzone’s Caldera has fake rocks that make taking cover pointless
Warzone Pacific players are reporting fake rocks on the Caldera map that enemies can easily shoot through, making it completely pointless to take cover behind them.
The addition of Caldera in Warzone Season 1’s Pacific update brought a refreshing change of scenery to the game, but the new map has been criticized for featuring various glitches and other problems.
Now, the Warzone community is frustrated with another major issue, as there are reports of enemies being able to shoot right through the rocks on the map and hit players that were taking cover.
Reddit user ‘dknisle1’ shared a clip in the CoD: Warzone subreddit, showcasing them taking cover behind rocks during a gunfight on Caldera, only for them to discover that they were still taking hits.
Their opponents were shooting them through the rock as if it wasn’t physically there, and this caused the confused Redditor to ask other players why it wasn’t providing any cover during the battle.
One commenter explained that they’ve faced the same problem on Caldera: “I’ve been shot through rocks, concrete walls, rock walls, etc. I like the game, but you can tell it’s half-baked at this point.”
Some users in the thread were amused by what they saw in the clip and began making jokes about it, with one player sarcastically suggesting: “Dude probably had a better gaming chair.”
Another commenter explained that there are collision issues all over the map, and Raven Software are fixing more and more of them as they become aware of them with each update.
Raven Software will be making some map changes to Caldera when Warzone Pacific Season 2 arrives, and we might see them address these collision issues in a major update patch soon.
