Warzone’s DMR 14, Dual Pistols, MAC-10 & more finally nerfed

Controversial Black Ops Cold War weapons such as the DMR 14, MAC-10, and akimbo Diamattis have finally been nerfed in Warzone Season 1.

Raven Software confirmed on January 6 that the controversial BOCW DMR 14, Type 63, akimbo Diamattis, and MAC-10 have finally received a nerf in Warzone Season 1.

Since the integration between Black Ops Cold War and Warzone on December 16, a few weapons have clearly shone above the rest.

The semi-automatic Tactical Rifles, MAC-10 SMG, and dual Diamatti pistols have been game-breakingly powerful. Although dozens of new weapons were added to the game, the loot pool only became smaller.

Not only were these weapons the most viable choices, they actually changed how the pace of the game. The time-to-kill on these weapons was so high that firefights were over in an instant and every small mistake would be punished.

Now, fans can rejoice in the fact that Raven Software have nerfed the over-powered weapons.

DMR and more finally nerfed in Warzone

“The time has come,” they announced on January 6, confirming a Warzone update is going live.

The following changes have been applied to the over-powered weapons.

  • DMR 14 – Reduced headshot damage, increased recoil
  • Type 63 – Reduced headshot damage, increased recoil
  • MAC-10 – Decreased headshot multiplier
  • Akimbo Diamattis – Increased hip-fire spread, decreased damage range

Previously, if you landed a headshot with the DMR 14 or Type 63, the enemies would only require another shot anywhere on the body to drop them. Body shots were still insanely powerful so fans are unconvinced this change will be enough.

The MAC-10 was extremely overpowered but not outright broken, so a decreased headshot multiplier should make other SMGs viable again.

The Diamattis, however, were arguably broken. It only took one burst from these pistols to down an enemy and because they were fired from the hip, there was very little skill involved in aiming them. With an increased hip-fire spread and decreased damage, you might just have a chance if you meet them in Warzone.

We are yet to see how much of an impact these changes will have on the game, but fans will be delighted to see that devs have been listening to their requests.

Bizarre parachute glitch ruins Warzone players landing

A bizarre glitch has appeared in Call of Duty: Warzone for a player, which results in a hilarious animation while parachuting.

A bizarre, yet hilarious glitch has appeared in Call of Duty: Warzone and it is extremely disruptive when trying to parachute onto the map.

Call of Duty: Warzone has quite the history of game-breaking glitches, causing varying degrees of issues for players. These glitches include the very disruptive stim glitch, and the frustrating wall breach bugs.

Newest to the show is the introduction of a parachute glitch that leaves players in a state where they descend slowly to the ground, unable to do anything but watch. While annoying, the glitch is also hilarious, putting the character in a warped animation state that resembles the thriller dance.

You can watch footage of the bug below, posted by a Redditor. The bug itself seems to be based on the parachute getting forced in an odd direction, resulting in the character appearing tangled in the strings.

While this bug would be frustrating for any players stuck in it, it is worth noting this is the first we’ve seen of this particular issue. It also doesn’t help that the clip has minimal context, so it very well could be the result of a connection issue with the original poster.

Considering the game doesn’t appear to be lagging at all, it may be safe to assume this is a legitimate bug in Warzone. We think its highly unlikely you’ll run into this yourself, but if you do, don’t hesitate to tweet us some footage @CharlieIntel.

Best case scenario, the laughs end here and Raven Software patches this in the next update. We’ll be sure to report if more players begin to run into this bug.

Best Grau loadout in Call of Duty: Warzone

Here’s the best Grau weapon loadout that you can use on both Verdansk and Rebirth Island in Call of Duty: Warzone.

Here’s the best Grau loadout to use on your travels throughout Verdansk and Rebirth Island in CoD: Warzone.

The Grau Assault Rifle is one of the best weapons in Modern Warfare, as well as Warzone. It offers modest mobility and excellent control while firing the weapon, steadying more as it’s fired. The weapon also has relatively predictable recoil, which makes it great for taking down opponents at further range, even with the iron sight.

In the early seasons of Warzone, the Grau saw its best days, being the ultimate meta weapon. Since then, it has been nerfed but has always been viable, sleeping in the background.

Here’s the rundown of the best loadout:

Grau Warzone Loadout

  • Muzzle – Monolithic Suppressor: Additional range, the player doesn’t appear on radar while firing.
  • Barrel – Tempus 26.4″ Archangel: The longest barrel available for the Grau, adds damage range, bullet velocity, and recoil control.
  • Laser – Tac Laser: Exposes your position when aiming down sights, but adds aiming stability, steadiness while walking and aiming, with a faster aim down sight.
  • Underbarrel – Commando Foregrip: Added recoil stabilization for more accuracy while firing.
  • Ammunition – 60 Round Mags: Largest magazine available. More ammo, fewer problems.

Tips for the field

  • Hold fire! – The Grau gets more accurate as you are firing. After a few shots, it becomes super accurate, taking down enemies at range with ease.
  • Lead your shots – While laser-accurate, the Grau also has a modest bullet travel time. Be sure to lead shots against enemies in the air or enemies running across a field.
  • Keep the distance – Medium range is the optimal range for this weapon. If you’re an expert marksman, you can deal big damage at longer ranges too. Just be careful in close range combat. You’ll want to either switch to an SMG or get into a better position.

Best Bullfrog loadout in Call of Duty: Warzone

Want to shred opponents from close and medium-range? Here’s the best Bullfrog SMG loadout to use in Call of Duty: Warzone.

Here’s the best Bullfrog loadout to use in CoD:Warzone to maximize power and accuracy.

The Bullfrog is a lightweight and mobile SMG from Black Ops Cold War, capable of holding large magazines. Aside from these pros, the Bullfrog carries a secret stat that makes it all worth the while, that being its insane headshot multiplier.

Simply hitting an enemy in the head at close or medium-range will send them into the Gulag within seconds, before they even have a chance to react.

While weapons like the Mac-10 have great base damage, you’ll be able to out damage and out range a Mac-10 user as long as you aim for the head.

Here’s our recommended loadout.

Bullfrog SMG: Black Ops Cold War Warzone

Bullfrog Loadout for CoD: Warzone

  • Muzzle GRU Suppressor: More range, the player doesn’t appear on the radar when firing.
  • Barrel – Task Force: Additional damage range, velocity, and damage in general, at the cost of recoil control.
  • Laser – GRU 5mw Laser Sight: Added hip-fire accuracy for a more concentrated fire at close range.
  • Underbarrel – Spetsnaz Grip: Added recoil control to compensate for the loss for the Task Force Barrel.
  • Ammunition – 65 Round Speed Mag: Large 65 round magazine with fast reloads.
Call of Duty Warzone, Activision/Infinity Ward

Tips for the field

  • Aim for the head. Seriously – Accuracy is king. If you hit only body shots up close, you’ll get wiped by an enemy with an MP5 or Mac-10. Keep your distance and aim for the head. As the target closes in, aim high.
  • Who cares about ammo? – This Bullfrog has 65 rounds of ammo per magazine, with quick reloads. If you see an enemy, shoot first, ask questions later.
  • Wait… it has range too? – The Bullfrog has an impressive range for an SMG. It might take a ton of shots to down an opponent, but if you aim for the head at medium range, you might actually get a down.
