There have been several reports of Riot Shields turning players invincible in Warzone Season 5, and players have found a way to replicate the game-breaking glitch.

Warzone is no stranger to wild bugs and glitches, with players turning both invincible and invisible several times. Although hackers have been finding ways to become invincible, it appears a new glitch with the Riot Shield is achieving this instead.

There have been several reports of Riot Shield-using players running around Verdansk invincible, and it appears that players have found ways to replicate this game-breaking exploit.

Player using Riot Shield in Call of Duty Warzone

It’s become well-documented that Warzone players have been using the Riot Shield to become invincible following the Season 5 Reloaded update. Rather than being on the receiving end of this exploit, Reddit user LordTexugo accidentally became invincible themself.

After using a Riot Shield and getting hit by a Combat Bow, their health dropped to 1HP. But, it turns out that they were now invulnerable – even with several Clash players trying to take them down.

LordTexugo honorably left the match, but another user, NuttyMcCrunch, ran into some not-so-honest players. These cheaters had queued up together in Solos and used the exploit to make themselves invincible. Then, they ran around the lobby taking out any player unfortunate enough to cross their path.

Users were quick to point out that the Rytec AMR and Combat Bow are responsible for this glitch, making it easily exploitable. So, we recommend you avoid using these weapons in Warzone just in case you accidentally grant your opponent invincibility.

There’s set to be a large Warzone patch releasing on September 15, nerfing some of the most popular weapons in the game. It’s possible that Raven will address this exploit here, but we’ll need to wait until the full patch notes to find out.
