Warzone’s game-ruining demon gun glitch hits Halo Infinite
Warzone has been plagued by a demon gun glitch that completely covers weapons and players making it impossible to see, and it’s now ruining games of Halo Infinite too.
Call of Duty: Warzone players know the demon gun glitch all too well as it completely hides weapons and player models behind a horrifying mess of broken code. It disappeared from Warzone for months but returned after the Warzone Pacific Season 1 update.
Now, the demon gun glitch has made an unwelcome arrival in Halo Infinite, where it’s ruining matches.
Halo Infinite has been praised for its extremely smooth and relatively bug-free surprise launch, but players are in for a nasty surprise now that the demon gun glitch has arrived.
Twitter user ‘IDasHHH_’ uploaded the footage proving that the glitch is now breaking Halo. In the clip uploaded to Twitter, we can see several Spartans are completely hidden by the demon glitch’s polygons.
Then they uploaded a clip showing how it ruins gameplay too. In this second clip, we can see the enemy they’re fighting is completely hidden behind the jagged mess. They still manage to hit a Perfect shot with the Shock Rifle, though.
How to fix demon gun glitch in Halo Infinite
While this glitch has been plaguing Warzone, some users have suggested that it’s an issue related to graphics drivers, rather than Halo Infinite itself. Twitter user Uzis said that “updating drivers usually fixes it, or wait for a driver patch, etc.”
Here’s how to update your graphics drivers.
How to update NVIDIA graphics driver
If you have an NVIDIA graphics card, the GeForce experience app will handle this for you.
- Download GeForce experience through NVIDIA.com
- Open GeForce experience
- Select the ‘Drivers’ tab
- Click ‘check for updates’ in the upper right corner
- If an update is available, follow the steps
How to update AMD graphics driver
If you have an AMD GPU, you can use the Radeon Settings to update your drivers.
- Right-click on your desktop
- Select AMD Radeon Settings
- Click on the Home icon
- Click ‘New Updates’ on the bottom left
- Select ‘check for update’
- If an update is available, follow the steps
Whether it’s an issue in Halo Infinite or a driver issue remains to be seen. 343 Industries haven’t responded yet, but we expect this to be on their list of priorities once they return to work after the holidays.
