Warzone’s ‘new Roze’ skin brings back game-breaking “pay-to-win” invisibility glitch

It appears that Warzone’s game-breaking invisibility glitch has returned with the “pay-to-win” Violet Stealth Pack.

Warzone Night Terror skin going invisible in Caldera

Warzone players were worried that the Night Terror skin would become the ‘new Roze,’ being impossible to spot in dark corners. It’s likely much worse, with the Night Terror skin going completely invisible.

Invisible skins were a real issue back when Warzone Pacific first arrived, with the Season 1 Battle Pass‘ Awoken Frances skin becoming completely invisible past 30 meters. The issue returned several times, but it was fixed for good back in February.

Warzone players were worried that the Night Terror skin would be impossible to spot in dark corners, but it looks like they can’t see it in broad daylight either as this game-breaking invisibility glitch has returned.

The Violet Stealth Pack’s Night Terror skin arrived ahead of Warzone’s June 30 update, costing $20 and bringing an MP40 and 2400 CoD Points. This almost completely black skin was quickly called the ‘new Roze‘ or ‘Roze 3.0,’ but it could be even worse.

YouTuber Mr Fishy McFish quickly spotted the issue, discovering that the goes completely invisible at around 50 meters. As we can see in the video embedded below, the skin fails to render between 50 and 60 meters.

The YouTuber did clarify that it’s not as bad as the Awoken skin because its invisibility comes and goes, but you can still be caught out if standing at the wrong distance.

It didn’t take long for Warzone players to call the skin pay to win for both its dark color and the fact it goes invisible. After Call of Duty news account ModernWarzone shared the clip, user ‘stegenite’ said there are now “pay to win gunfights,” and another claimed, “this game is more pay to win than ever.”

It’s worth bearing in mind that this could just be a new map glitch that arrived with Season 4’s Caldera and might not be specific to the skin itself. We’ll just need to wait and see whether this issue becomes more widespread.

Abandoned Cold War rifle is perfect for Rebirth & Fortune’s Keep ahead of Warzone Season 5

Here’s a forgotten Black Ops Cold War Rifle you can use to dominate Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep ahead of Warzone Season 5.

Warzone Pacific Season 5 is almost here, and it might be time to return to an old fan-favorite ahead of the new season. Warzone expert WhosImmortal has revealed the Cold War rifle you should take to Warzone’s smaller maps in Season 4 Reloaded.

After the NZ-41 was forced out of the meta by the Season 4 Reloaded update, Warzone’s meta is finally in a balanced state. Old favorites such as the Kilo 141 and M13 have seen love again, but those aren’t the only weapons worth using once more.

Call of Duty YouTuber and Warzone meta expert WhosImmortal tried out Black Ops Cold War’s M16 Tactical Rifle again following its buffs in Season 4 Reloaded and reported that it’s able to dominate Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep.

WhosImmortal said that the M16 was already a decent gun, but has become a much more consistent choice after its damage buffs in the Season 4 Reloaded update.

Despite WhosImmortal clutching up a 21-kill win on Caldera, he explained that “this gun is really going to be the best it can be on Rebirth and Fortune’s Keep.”

“I think it’s more of a mid-range gun than anything just because over long-range … burst weapons are always going to be kind of awkward because of that kick that you constantly have to recenter,” he continued.

However, he said that the weapon is “pristine” at mid-range, making it perfect for the likes of Fortune’s Keep and Rebirth Island.

WhosImmortal buffed M16 Warzone loadout

  • Muzzle: Agency Silencer
  • Barrel: 16.3″ Titanium
  • Optic: Axial Arms 3x
  • Underbarrel: Field Agent Foregrip
  • Magazine: STANAG 60 Rnd

These are all of the classic attachments for the M16, with the 16.3″ Titanium being a huge help thanks to its fire rate increase. He said that you can either use the 45 or 60 Round mag depending on which you prefer, but “you can’t go wrong with either.”

The M16 will be a powerful choice ahead of Season 5 on Wednesday, August 24, which brings new weapons, (reportedly) classic villains, and the final round-based map for Vanguard.

DEADROP dev responds as fans accuse CoD of stealing skin from Dr Disrespect game

Dr Disrespect fans are convinced Activision copied a Variant his game for their latest Warzone skin, and a DEADROP dev has responded.

Doomslayer skin in Warzone and Vanguard

Activision dropped Warzone and Vanguard’s Tracer Pack Malware Ultra Skin but players immediately noticed a striking similarity with Dr Disrespect’s DEADROP, and it looks like it’s even prompted a response from a Midnight Society developer.

Not long after Activision had to apologize for copying artwork from an independent artist, plagiarism accusations are flying once again. This time concerning Vanguard and Warzone’s new Doomslayer skin which Dr Disrespect fans immediately recognized.

Dr Disrespect’s ‘vertical extraction shooter’ DEADROP is currently in development, and there have already been plenty of comparisons with Call of Duty — mostly from Doc himself. He’s previously said that Modern Warfare 2 can’t “match” DEADROP.

Those who have bought a DEADROP Founders Pass have received one of 10,000 “Variants,” which are unique in-game characters. Senior developers have shown off their Variants, and many think they are the inspiration for Call of Duty’s latest bundle.

The Tracer Pack Malware Ultra skin dropped in Warzone and Vanguard on August 15, featuring a hooded sci-fi character with a skull-faced digital visor. Those words could also be used to describe DEADROP founder Robert Bowling’s Variant, and players were quick to make the comparison.

“Damn, they had to scrap the Dog they ripped off then went straight for a DEADROP variant,” replied one Twitter user. “Looks like whoever created this skin TRIED to copy the Variant of one of the leaders of [Midnight Society],” commented another.

While not a direct response, Bowling, who’s an ex-Infinity Ward dev, tweeted: “At least name it after me.”

Not everyone was convinced that the skin was a straight copy though, as some said that it’s a classic sci-fi design that’s been around longer than DEADROP.

We’ll need to wait and see whether Activision respond to the accusations, but Doc fans are convinced. In the meantime, check out how NICKMERCS will be “brutally honest” if he thinks DEADROP is trash.

Warzone players claim lag is making game “unplayable” after Season 4 Reloaded patch

Warzone Pacific players are frustrated with the severe lag that is making the game “unplayable” in Season 4 Reloaded.

Warzone player using redeploy balloon

Numerous Warzone Pacific players have reported experiencing severe lag which has made the game unplayable after the Season 4 Reloaded update went live.

The Season 4 Reloaded update brought a ton of changes for Warzone Pacific players to explore, including a nerf to the Serpentine Perk as well as the addition of a Terminator crossover.

However, the seasonal update also brought a frustrating problem to the popular Call of Duty title, as reports are coming in of players experiencing lag which makes it impossible to enjoy the game.

When the Season 4 Reloaded update first went live, there were numerous reports of a strange glitch that would cause frame skips and ping spikes. Now players are experiencing another issue in the game.

Reddit user ‘Clip_It_’ claimed that the game has been “unplayable” for a few days and shared a short clip of them experiencing massive lag spikes when playing in the Warzone Pacific subreddit.

In the clip, lag spikes would occur which would cause both the player and his opponents to repeatedly freeze for a few seconds before moving again. The Redditor added that this has been happening in almost every game.

This is a problem that’s also being faced by other players, as a few commenters shared their own recent experiences with the lag spikes. It seems that some Warzone maps are more affected by this than others.

One of the commenters claimed that this issue is more prominent when playing on Caldera, as matches there are “much laggier” compared to those held on the Rebirth Island or Fortune’s Keep maps.

This claim was corroborated by a few other players in the thread, as one of them reported having smooth games on Fortune’s Keep and Rebirth Island while experiencing terrible lag on Caldera.

The player added: “It’s the same thing for me. I can’t play [Caldera] without it skipping. [I] have never gotten below 90 ping, but can have smooth games on Rebirth and FK.”

The developers have yet to address the lag issues that have popped up in Season 4 Reloaded Hopefully, a fix will be implemented for them in a brand-new Warzone Pacific update patch soon.
