Rambo and John McClane Operators have been teased for Call of Duty: Warzone and Cold War, but they are also set to arrive in CoD Mobile as part of a joint midseason event.

Cold War and Warzone players’ interests were first piqued when the Season 3 roadmap confirmed a “Midseason Event” with “New limited-time modes, rewards, and more.” Activision has played their cards close to their chest with this event, but teasers from the official Call of Duty Twitter account have given us a taste of what to expect.

Warzone, Cold War, and CoD: Mobile are set for a 1980s action movie crossover event on May 20, featuring Rambo, John McClane, and others.

CoD’s Twitter account tweeted a Warzone Report for a mysterious player, SurvivorJohn, whose stats were strikingly similar to 1980s action hero John Rambo, and then they teased a “Nakatomi Duct Cleaning” company – a location straight from the first Die Hard film.

Players theorized that Rambo and John McClane would be coming to Warzone as Operators, and these theories were all but confirmed when Activision released a teaser trailer, revealing that “The action begins May 20.”

With Call of Duty: Mobile Season 4 set to arrive on May 27, it appears that the game is set to receive an early content drop, with the 1980s crossover event also happening in the mobile version. CoD: Mobile’s Twitter account shared the teaser trailer which featured the logo for all three games.

How a joint event across all three games will work remains to be seen, but similar to the Haunting of Verdansk and the Hunt for Adler event, there will likely be challenges to complete across all three games with cosmetic rewards to earn.

It’s most likely that the movie heroes will arrive in the Warzone and Cold War store during Season 3 Reloaded, with separate bundles featuring the Operators also coming to the Mobile store.
