Warzone’s Vargo 52 still broken despite devs claiming they fixed it

Warzone’s new Vargo 52 Assault Rifle had a frustrating glitch where moving would cancel the reload, and even though the devs confirmed a fix, players are still reporting that the gun is broken.

Although Warzone features weapons from the past three Call of Duty titles, Black Ops Cold War’s weapons are often considered the best. With low recoil, high mobility, and solid damage, you can’t go wrong with weapons such as the XM4, Cold War AK-47, and Swiss K31.

Although Cold War’s seasons are over, the devs added the Vargo 52 to Warzone. This quickly became a top-tier gun with the highest K/D ratio, but a frustrating glitch was still holding it back. Although the devs announced a fix, it appears the glitch has returned.

Vargo 52 in Warzone

Although Cold War players could unlock it early, the Vargo 52 Assault Rifle hit Warzone on March 4. Feeling like a mix between the XM4 and the FARA 83, the Vargo barged its way into the long-range meta and cemented its place.

However, there are two major issues with the Vargo. Players still can’t equip the FerroFluid Blueprint from the store and if the player moves during the reload, the bullets won’t actually enter the gun.

This was an issue with Cold War weapons back when it first integrated with Warzone, but the issue returned with the Vargo. Raven Software are aware of the problem and confirmed they fixed it in the March 9 patch notes, but players say otherwise.

Reddit user ‘FiSk919’ took the Warzone subreddit to ask: “Is it just me or is the VARGO still bugged?”

They explained that they still need to stand still for the reload to complete, and several players in the comments reported the same issue. FiSk wondered if it was only to do with the base mag, but another user confirmed that the 60 Rnd Mag is bugged too.

‘FormedBoredom’ also confirmed the issue, saying: “Reload is still bugged on all mags, not sure why they said they fixed it.”

Raven Software were quick to address this issue the first time, so it might be fixed again in the next update. In the meantime, you’ll need to stand still until your Operator has put their hand back on the grip to confirm the reload.

But if you’re looking for another weapon to use, you can check out the forgotten Assault Rifle that dominates enemies with “zero recoil” and high damage.
