You’ll see plenty of Mending Machines scattered around the island in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4, but what exactly do they do? We’ve explained what a Mending Machine is in Fortnite, and where to find them, right here.

There’s no shortage of items and mechanics to get to grips with in Fortnite Season 4. The major update introduced everything from self-upgrading EvoChrome weapons, to secure vaults containing valuable loot.

In addition, Mending Machines are a feature that has been around in Fortnite for some time, but you may not have interacted with too much. These devices can be incredibly useful in the middle of a match, or for completing weekly challenges.

But what is a Mending Machine and where can you find them? We’ve got you covered below.

What are Mending Machines in Fortnite?

Mending Machines are vending machines littered around the Fortnite map which sell useful healing items, such as Bandages, Medkits, and Shield Potions.

Players can purchase these heals simply by interacting with any machine they find in a match, as long as they have enough Gold Bars. Luckily, Mending Machines are nowhere near as pricey as weapon vendors, with items only costing around 25-50 Gold Bars.

While looting heals and shields from Chests or from the ground is still the ideal way to come across them, Mending Machines are perfect when you’re running low after an intense fight or getting caught in the storm.

Fortnite Mending Machine locations

In total, there are 10 Mending Machines found in all corners of the Fortnite map. No matter where you choose to land, you shouldn’t be too far away from your nearest vendor.

We’ve marked every single one of Fortnite’s Mending Machines on the map below:

If you’re trying to complete the Week 0 Quest, you can head to any Mending Machine and buy the cheapest item on offer to bag the XP and level up the Battle Pass. They also can’t be destroyed or run out of stock, so there’s no rush to head there as soon as you land.
