What is Flak Jacket in Warzone?
Flak Jacket is an extremely useful Perk in Black Ops Cold War, but can you can also make use of it in Warzone?
For even the most skilled Warzone player, a carefully thrown explosive can be a one-way ticket to the Gulag. But after spending hours cultivating the best possible Caldera loadout, elimination via a rogue Semtex is one of the more frustrating ways to go.
CoD Black Ops Cold War, as well as many entries before it, offered players the Flak Jacket Perk, drastically reducing the damage inflicted by enemy Grenades and Molotovs.
But is there a way of equipping Flak Jacket to your Warzone Operator? We’ve got all the details below.
Is Flak Jacket in Warzone?
Unfortunately, no, the Flak Jacket Perk which has been a staple of the Black Ops series isn’t one of the 18 Perks available in Caldera.
Warzone’s lineup of Perks has been mostly the same ever since its launch back in 2020, with only a handful of new options added since, like Armory and Mechanic in Season 2.
However, that’s not to say that you can’t achieve similar levels of protection by using other Perks in the Warzone locker. Modern Warfare’s E.O.D, which does appear in Warzone, features an effect that isn’t all that different.
What is EOD in Warzone?
Much like Flak Jacket, E.O.D is focused on protecting the player from incoming explosives. Not only does it reduce the damage from Semtex and Claymores, but it also resets the fuse on returned Grenades, removing some of the risk.
This can be the difference between life and death, especially if you’re not at full armor when the explosive hits.
The only small drawback back is that the effect doesn’t apply to killstreaks, so Airstrikes and Cruise Missiles will still slap with the same force as they always do.
How to unlock EOD in Warzone
The good news is, that E.O.D is unlocked in Warzone right from the get-go, so even level one players can equip it.

Simply head into your loadout, and head into the Perk 1 menu. E.O.D will be sitting near the top of list, so you can add it to your setup with no need to grind XP.
