What is Modern Warfare 2 CDL Moshpit?
Modern Warfare 2’s CDL Moshpit playlist is a competitive 4 vs 4 mode that follows the maps, rules, and restrictions of the Call of Duty League.
Essentially, CDL Moshpit is a version of Ranked Play devoid of ranks and a ladder to climb. It’s a great playlist for fans of competitive Call of Duty to test their skills with a CDL ruleset, before Modern Warfare 2’s true Ranked Play experience is released in 2023.
In other words, players won’t necessarily make any progress or climb a ladder, but you’ll still be playing in a 4 vs 4 setting, rotating through Hardpoint, Search & Destroy, and Control.
Keep in mind, certain weapons and Perks will be restricted to match CDL rules and friendly fire will be turned on.
While the devs worked to eliminate the issues that held the playlist back from its expected launch date, there are still minor problems to sort through.
The devs suggest that players “create their preferred loadouts in a CDL Private Match lobby before matchmaking to navigate restrictions easily.”
They continue to explain that “in a future update, CDL Moshpit will display CDL Private Match loadouts before a player chooses to begin matchmaking.”
