Kill/Death ratio, known as K/D, is one of the most popular ways to see how good you are at Call of Duty. To measure your performance, you need to know what the average Vanguard K/D ratio is, and we’ve got all the details.

Anyone who drops into a Vanguard multiplayer match is looking for one thing — kills. If you want to fire your team to victory in any of the game’s modes, you need to eliminate your enemies.

Like any Call of Duty game, Vanguard keeps a track of all your kills and deaths and creates a K/D ratio so you can see how you are performing. While that number is useful, it doesn’t really give you a good idea as to how you’re doing compared to other players.

Thankfully, we’ve done some digging to figure out what the average Vanguard K/D ratio is, so you can see if you’re better or worse than the majority of players.

What is the average Vanguard K/D ratio?

While there is no official way to find this out, we can do some sleuthing to come up with a reasonable estimation.

According to existing stats, players with a 1.15 K/D ratio find themselves in the 50th percentile of players. With that in mind, we believe the average Vanguard K/D ratio is between 1.1 and 1.2. By that, we mean that this is the most common K/D ratio also known as the mode average.

If your K/D is above that range, congratulations! You’re above the average Vanguard player. If not, it’s time to jump into games and focus on grabbing kills while staying alive.

How is your Vanguard K/D ratio calculated?

Your K/D ratio shows how many kills you’ve achieved on average before you’re eliminated by another player.

For example, if you have a 2.0 ratio, it means that you’ve killed twice as many enemies as have taken you out. A K/D ratio under 1.0 means you’ve died more times than you’ve killed the other team.

How to improve your Vanguard K/D ratio

There’s no easy way to improve your K/D, but making sure you’re using the best Vanguard weapons possible will definitely give you a better chance.

It’s also worth deciding what kind of player you want to be. If running and gunning is your specialty, then stick to SMGs. If sitting back is more your style, pick up an Assault Rifle and start watching lanes.

Most important of all is practice. The more you play the game, the better your aim will get, and the more you will understand the best ways to avoid dying.

Now that you know the average Vanguard K/D, you can now jump into games and either try to reach it or leave it behind as your ratio soars. If battle royale is more your style, see how you stack up against other CoD players with the average Warzone K/D ratio.
