The Blueprint Blitz event is now live in Call of Duty: Warzone, allowing players to earn 11 Weapon Blueprints from previous seasons. Here’s everything you need to know, including how to complete it, the rewards, and when it’s due to expire.

Call of Duty: Warzone is now in its second year, with Black Ops Cold War Season 5 being its 10th season overall. Over these seasons, a ton of cosmetic items have been offered to players, such as Charms, Calling Cards, and Weapon Blueprints.

If you’ve missed out on this content, don’t worry, as Raven Software has introduced a new Blueprint Blitz event where you have the opportunity to get your hands on previously released Weapon Blueprints.

Here’s when Warzone’s first Blueprint Blitz event begins, and how to get your hands on these previously-released cosmetics.

Warzone Blueprint Blitz event start & end date

Alongside the announcement that the highly-anticipated Iron Trials ’84 mode has arrived, Raven Software confirmed on September 16 that the Blueprint Blitz event is now live.

The Blueprint Blitz will take place over the weekend, scheduled to end on September 20 at 10 AM ET /1 PM ET / 6 PM BST.

Blueprint Blitz previously went live in August 2021, but Raven Software had to disable it due to an issue.

What is Warzone’s Blueprint Blitz event?

Warzone Season 5 Blueprint Blitz

The Blueprint Blitz takes place inside Battle Royale or Plunder: Blood Money, with the Contraband Contract being much more frequent.

Contraband Contracts are rare objectives that pop up in matches of Warzone. You must deliver a package to a helicopter, and if it successfully extracts, you’ll earn a ton of cash and a Weapon Blueprint to keep.

With the Blueprint Blitz event, you’ll have many more opportunities to do these Contraband Contracts. And for completing them during the Blueprint Blitz, you can earn 11 Blueprints from previous seasons.

How to complete Blueprint Blitz event challenge

Warzone scavenger contract

With the Blueprint Blitz event live in Warzone, the Contraband contract will now spawn after you complete two in-game contracts such as Bounties, Scavengers, or Recons.

Once you’ve completed two contracts in a match of Battle Royale or Blood Money, a Contraband Contract will spawn – appearing as a blue briefcase.

Pick up the Contraband package, and you’ll be instructed to bring it to a helicopter drop zone somewhere else in Verdansk. Bring it to the DZ, press interact, and a helicopter will come and take it away.

Be careful, though, other players can see the plume of smoke and the helicopter fly in. If they kill you before the helicopter extracts the package, they’ll claim the contract for themselves, and you won’t get the Blueprint. This goes both ways though, as you can steal Contraband contracts off enemies.

Once the helicopter successfully has the package, you’ll earn one of the 11 Blueprint Blitz weapon skins. Repeat this ten more times, and you’ll have completed the Blueprint Blitz event.

To recap how to complete a Contraband Contract:

  1. Deploy into a game of either Warzone or Plunder
  2. Complete two regular contracts (Bounty, Scavenger, Recon, Supply Run, Most Wanted)
  3. Pick up the Contraband contract
  4. Take the package to the marked drop zone
  5. Deliver and defend the package while waiting for the helicopter to take it away
  6. Repeat this 10 times to complete the Blueprint Blitz event

Warzone Pacific update brings highly-requested Gas Mask fix

Warzone’s Gas Masks have long been a source of frustration to players, but the Pacific update is finally bringing a highly-requested change.

Call of Duty: Warzone players have long complained that the Gas Mask animation causes frustrating deaths, but the Warzone Pacific Season 1 update is set to fix the issue.

Like any battle royale game, Warzone’s closing ring of gas is extremely lethal. If you have any hope of surviving, you’ll need to pick up a Gas Mask. However, the obtrusive animation has long been a source of frustration for Warzone players.

Warzone Pacific Season 1 launches on December 8, bringing the new Caldera map, major changes to the Gulag, RICOCHET anti-cheat, and more. It’s also bringing an update to Gas Masks, making them much less of an annoyance.

The issue with Gas Masks is that you have no control over whether the animation starts or not. This stops you from aiming down sight, plating up, reloading, or even deploying your parachute.

Being inside the gas is meant to be punishing, but Warzone players have long felt that the animation is overly frustrating and have been calling for change. It appears this change will finally arrive with Caldera and Warzone Pacific Season 1.

Warzone’s developers announced that “Gas Masks won’t interrupt as many actions as they previously did.” Now, it’ll be “easier to pull your mask off or on, as well as plating up or reloading a weapon while getting out of the Circle Collapse.”

But it doesn’t sound like the animation will be completely gone, as the Gas Masks are still designed to punish players caught in the gas and favor those safely inside the circle.

We probably won’t know the full extent of the changes until Season 1 goes live on December 8. Alongside nerfs to Dead Silence, this is a change the community has long been asking for, so hopefully, Gas Masks will now cause far fewer unpreventable deaths.

What is Warzone Pacific’s Big Game Bounty contract?

Warzone Pacific will bring the Big Game Bounty contract when it moves to Caldera in Season 1, so here’s everything you need to know about it.

Warzone Pacific and all of its content have been revealed, including a brand-new Big Game Bounty contract. Here’s how Caldera’s new contract works, and how to complete it.

Warzone made some significant changes to the battle royale formula, swapping out traditional looting for loadouts and including in-game contracts to give those who complete them a leg-up.

Call of Duty’s battle royale is about to evolve even further, heading to the Pacific and bringing the RICOCHET anti-cheat, nerfs to Stun Grenades and Heartbeat Sensors, as well as a new contract – Big Game Bounty.

Here’s how the Big Game Bounty contract works, and how to complete it.

Warzone Pacific Big Game Bounty contract

Warzone Pacific Caldera beachhead POI

Warzone Pacific’s new Big Game Bounty contract will act much the same as the classic Bounty, but will only mark the player with the highest kill count.

The developers confirmed that this contract will only appear once per game, so if you survive a Big Game Bounty contract on your head, you won’t have to worry about getting another one. And if you fail to eliminate the target in time, you won’t get another shot.

Of course, this is likely much more high risk than the regular Bounty. When taking on a Bounty, you could get a player of any skill or in any situation. However, with the Big Game Bounty contract, you’re guaranteed to get one of the best players in the game.

But high risk comes with high reward, as taking down this target will remove one of the most powerful forces on the map, giving you more chance of securing the win. Plus, there will likely be a nice cash and XP bonus for your efforts too.

Top-tier Warzone streamers seem unsure of Big Game Bounty, with pro player MuTex calling it a “find the streamer” contract. He said that it’ll “either be super fun or absolutely terrible” but we’ll have to “wait and find out.” But these top streamers almost play a different game to the rest of us, so it might be better received by the majority of players.

Warzone devs also teased there will be a “Top Secret Contract” in Caldera, but haven’t given any more information. Although they did reveal that it “comes with greater rewards compared to the standard loot from the Contract types it chooses from.”

Warzone Pacific Season 1 brings major changes to the Gulag

Some major changes are coming to Warzone when Caldera launches. A notable change comes by way of the Warzone Pacific Gulag.

Gulag warzone pacific

A significant change coming to the Gulag is one of many mechanics undergoing modification when Warzone Pacific Season 1 launches on December 8.

Players are chomping at the bit to get their hands on Call of Duty’s newest Battle Royale
iteration
. After traversing the same map for almost two years, fans are understandably excited for this new Pacific adventure.

The setting is not the only thing that is set to undergo drastic changes. Prior to the December 8 release of Warzone Pacific, Activision has released a ton of new information about the new map and game mode. Players couldn’t help but notice one major change coming to the Gulag.

Warzone Pacific’s new and improved Gulag

Classic warzone gulag

The Gulag is a Warzone staple. Despite undergoing several different landscape changes, the essence of the Gulag has remained the same since day one. Two players face off in a one-on-one engagement. Both players use the same generated loadout. The winner then drops back into the map.

The Gulag is an iconic element that sets Call of Duty’s Battle Royale apart from the competition. The devs understood that allowing players a second lease on life is a great way to give players multiple chances to be the last one standing.

Traditionally, players who win a Gulag fight would drop back into the map with only a Pistol to keep them company. This is the price players pay for returning to the match. The idea was to limit the possibilities upon return. Warzone Pacific: Caldera is disrupting the balance by allowing players to return with their Gulag loadout.

Players will carry over every single item they receive in the Gulag. It is important to note that these items do not restock if used by the Gulag winner. In other words, if you use your Lethal Grenade to damage your Gulag opponent, it isn’t replenished once your drop back into the map.

Players must be wise in how they approach their Gulag fight. Allowing players to drop back in with their Gulag loadout adds a new layer of strategy to your 1 vs 1 engagement. Preserving your equipment or using it to defeat your opponent will be a risk you’ll have to weigh up.

Players familiar with the Iron Trials Warzone game mode will already be accustomed to this new gameplay mechanic. As more is released about the Warzone Pacific Gulag, such as its layout, we’ll update this piece so stay tuned.

This is just one of many changes coming to Warzone on December 8. Check out these changes to the Gas Mask animation and Loadout Drop.
